We went to Mesa and what a wonderful store. They had a perfect recliner and the staff was extremely helpful and cheerful.

I go to this thrift shoppe because I work for Hospice of the Valley who owns this thrift shoppe. M Not only do I get an employee discount, but every thing the store makes goes to helping terminally ill people in the community. They have a nice selection of merchandise in good condition. The price is very reasonable. I did find out that I get a bigger discount on Mondays as a senior. This is were I bring my donations and so my thrift shopping because it all goes for a great cause. read more

I always take stuff to white dove and I always shop there I like that their money goes to the hospice and they always have nice things

I went in there after many years with my 3 year old granddaughter. All the clerk's were sitting at the checkout desk. After not finding the item I was looking for we started wandering around looking at the different Items..After 15 minutes of looking around just to see what they had I noticed one of the clerk's "Adjusting" items in all the same areas we were looking. I thought it was just her working but NO as I looked in all 4 corners of the place she was there!! I'm almost 80 years old!! and my granddaughter was holding my hand.....I will never go back there. read more

I, have been a thriter, for years. I, was raised, in a home, hand outs were comfortable. As, such I enjoy my finds. That being said. I, have been at several shops and for the vast time, I have been treated, well. This past week end, was a terrible experience. I, understand I may be out of my element. But, I was treated very poorly. I was using my discount card and have not had an issue, with it being expired, it was 25% of 15ish dollars...The ish was the woman, who was at the cash register, I told her, forget the discount, I then told her I wanted to see the manager, after i got the credit card receipt...Let me say, I will never go back to this store again. I, told my Son, what had happened, I was in tears, I walked out of their with my walker I was, beyond angry. i, left after I, had my audience with the manager. Watch your families. read more

My favorite thrift store in the area! Clean and organized. Workers are friendly and helpful. Prices are great, and I appreciate that the store honors veterans and teachers on Saturdays. I go about once a month and leave with treasures to help furnish/decorate my home as well as upgrade my wardrobe. I brought my whole family here while visiting from Ca, and we all left with at least one item!!!! read more

I support Hospice of the Valley as an organization however on a recent visit to their thrift stores I found that the prices are too high to call this a "thrift shoppe". $2700 for this piece is resale not thrift. These stores need to change their pricing model or should take thrift out of the name of their shop. read more

I've prolly been to every thrift store in town dozens of times, I go almost every day. This is one of my favorites. Whoever is sorting donations here has a "picker's" eye. Great prices and proceeds go to a great cause. Daily special and small store pricing makes this better than the corporate, overpriced, big guys (Savers & Goodwill I'm looking at you) But it's the selection that sets it apart. If you are looking for hand selected vintage items at sub antique store prices, and enjoy the hunt, this is your place. read more

What a cute little store! This thrift shop has better quality items than a Goodwill. The clothing and shoes are the same but the furniture and nick knacks are better. When I first walk in, to my right is a whole wedding set up. From dresses and suites to flower girl items and shoes. On the back right wall are shoes. Plenty racks of clothing. The back room has discounted items and toys. This area is a bit messy and disorganized. The store does a great job of displaying their items. It feels like an antique store more than a typical thrift store. read more

Would YOU like to be creepily stalked around the store for a good 15 minutes by a bunch of elderly women talking amongst themselves about how they think you put "something" in your "bag"? Then go to the White Dove Thrift in Mesa AZ. Otherwise, go to a different thrift store that isn't so weird. I've never had an experience like that before and don't ever plan to have another one like that. I'm an old White woman myself and hardly fit the profile of a shoplifter. I can only imagine how I'd have been treated if I were a person of color. read more

If I could give a ZERO rating, I would. I am a disabled elderly widow and do not have help to deal with moving heavy objects. I have multiple items that I wished to donate and called the White Dove Thrift Store to schedule a truck to pick up items since many of the items were too heavy for me to lift. Initially the person took down the list of items and gave me a date when the truck would be in my area. A pick up was scheduled for a day in March. Today someone else called and said they couldn't pick up my items since I wasn't donating furniture in addition to the other items! Something that was not mentioned when the pick up was scheduled. What poor customer service - no sympathy for someone who is unable to bring in the donations and now they will lose out as well as the clients who might have benefited from these items. Bottom line, HOSPICE OF THE VALLEY has lost out on items to sell in support of their programs and clients. PLUS they have also lost a patron who used to donate annually as both parents spent the end of their lives on HOV. Their loss. Be careful who you trust and assess where you donate. read more

I use to absolutely L-O-V-E shopping this store with my senior mother.... Unfortunately their prices now are just outrageous. I understand the need to pay rent, salaries for some employees and keep the lights on, but you have to remember that every single item that comes through the back doors is FREE and most of the fine folks volunteer their time and talent. They keep expanding, and expanding to house their overpriced inventory. Although you are branded as a thrift store, pricing is only slightly lower than a discount retailer. read more

White Dove Thrift is one of those places that you finally visit and wonder, "why have I never been here before?" Compared to other thrift stores around the east valley, WDTS is priced fairly well (most womens shirts cost about $3-5, shoes & handbags starting around $7) and the quality is arguably better than most places around town. My only qualm is they have a limited selection of Plus Size clothes--found difficulty locating anything beyond a regular XL. The store is clean and well-organized, and they had a large selection of vintage bakeware and kitchen accessories. read more

I like to go thrifting at least once a week, and we are new to this area, so I went out to see what there was to find. Based on reviews, I went to White Dove and knew immediately why it was so good. Everything was clean and setup in an easy-to-navigate way, and there was so much to see! That was my favorite part--I had a lot to look at, and I ended up filling my shopping cart (and I never use shopping carts at thrift stores, but the goods kept piling on). It wasn't too crowded and I found one great thing after another. I left with a rug, some board games, and many other great finds. read more

This place is so cute! And so huge!! I came in looking for tea cups, and boy did I find the mother load...the only thing was that the majority of cups came in dish sets, so I only walked out with two cups that were not apart of anything. But, either way, their dish/tea set selection was incredible. This place reminded me more of an antique store than a thrift shop. The prices were a little more than thrift shop prices normally are, but definitely less than an antique shop. They had quite a big selection of furniture, and good quality too. They had tons of clothes, but I honestly didn't look through those. There are so many things to see, it's impossible to see it all in one visit! A nice surprise happened when I went to check out with my two teacups. They were both marked $3 for the cup and saucer, which is at the top of my budget (I've been paying an average of $1.50 for teacups with saucers at Good Will) but, I decided to get them since they were nice and in very good condition. When the lady rang me up she said, 'well, these are on sale today so you get both tea cups and saucers for $3" SCORE! That made my day....it only made me wonder what else was 'on sale' because then I might have bought more! Another nice thing about this place is that all proceeds benefit Hospice of the Valley. They said they get two truck loads of stuff every week (I'm not sure from where) besides what people donate. Anyways, it's nice to shop knowing you are benefiting a good cause! read more

I've only been in here a few times and I have liked it every time. Their prices are pretty reasonable compared to other thrift stores and the ladies who run it seem very nice. If you go on Mondays it is half-off day, lucky for you if you find something as you want. I still wear a pair of shorts I bought here three or four years ago. I once bought a book in here just because I like the author and found out when I got home it was a first edition! After I read it I was able to sell it on eBay for a pretty good price. Their craft supplies are especially well priced, maybe $2.50 for an item that would be $8 over at Bookmans. I do a lot of knitting and crocheting for charity so I appreciated finding some yarn for a dollar a skein. If you are looking for unique, antique type furniture and accent tables etc, this is a great place to find them. If it was a little bit closer I would be in here every Monday. They close at 4 so it's sometimes hard for me to get here since it's often after that when I'm in the area. read more

I usually always go here one a month or so with my mom or boyfriend for Sunday funday, but today I decided to go alone and I seen this super cute floor mirror I wanted but had a " NOT FOR SALE " sign on it... I walked back up to the front-center desk and asked about it just to be sure you know? The lady said said " yeah it's not for sale, that means it's NOT FOR SALE " unexpectedly rudely.. I instantly grabbed my things and left. Overall it's a good place for clothes if you're into vintage, but the attitudes from the employees could be a little better in my option! read more

This is, hands down, the best thrift store in the East Valley. Maybe in all of greater Phoenix. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The prices are UNBEATABLE. The layout is fantastic, everything is well-organized and easy to find, and all of the clothes are wearable. Sometimes you go into thrift stores (**cough** Goodwill **cough**) and the prices are ridiculously overpriced. Not to mention, the quality of the items are unforgivable. (Tangent: don't donate old, tattered clothing; a thrift store is not a garbage can for your worn-out clothing.) You will never experience that at White Dove. This is one of my favorite thrift shops! They always have great sales, their clothing is in great condition and well-organized, and their volunteers are so nice and helpful. When you enter White Dove Thrift Shoppe, it's easy to forget you are in a thrift store! From the friendly greeting by a Hospice of the Valley volunteer as you enter, to the tastefully displayed merchandise, you are hooked! The store's items are top-notch quality, no stains & smells here folks. The store is clean, and smells clean too. The mostly volunteer staff, as well as the managers are very friendly and outgoing. I always leave feeling happy I went. But this is where the fun begins: THE PRICES ARE GREAT! There are always several sales going on with certain color tag clothing going for anywhere from $0.25 to $1.00. If you like to read, like I do, their book prices can't be beat. I think the highest is $.1.50 for hardback books. Even if the items you want aren't on sale, you will be amazed at the prices for such beautiful things. I am in this store at least 3 days a week. And their merchandise sells so fast that the turnaround is amazing. Every time I go in there are new treasures! Take a look! go donate you grocery bags to them because they reuse them instead of buying more with their name on them! there are some great finds here and usually for a good price. some stuff is donated by the families of the patients who died in hospice so some stuff is very old and nostalgic. most of not all workers are volunteers :) read more

Great thrift store. Well organized, very clean, well lit, easy to find the department you are looking for, reasonable prices, friendly staff. I buy tons and tons of clothes there - the last time I was there, it was a 50% off and I got three shirts for next to nothing.
