I went to try on dresses last weekend at 3 different places. White Dresses was, by far, my worst experience. Actually the only bad experience I have had! For starters, the person working behaved unprofessionally, was unprofessionally dressed (a crop top sweatshirt and yoga pants), and not observing COVID protocols. At every other appointment I went to that day the staff was there to assist me every step of the way. At White Dresses, if I wanted help I had to ask, but even then I felt like I was made to feel as if I was an inconvenience for asking a question. I pulled all of my own dresses from the racks and the person assisting me added no help other than to zip me into my dresses. We asked for the WiFi password so we could FaceTime my mother and aunt who live out of town and the staff member didn't know it and didn't even try to find it for us (minor detail in the grand scheme but there was an attitude exuded when we were taking up a few min to FaceTime my mom). She stood in silence as I tried on dresses, not once offering up a comment or helpful suggestion. It was so awkward it was obvious even to my family members who were on FaceTime. Once I was in a dress she was standing with my next dress waiting for me to be done. I felt so rushed and it very much felt like she had Saturday night plans waiting for her. We had an appointment booked for 1.5 hrs and I was done in 30 minutes. I was incredibly sad leaving my appointment bc White Dresses had several of the brands I wanted to try on, but it was such a bad experience that after I tried on a few I wanted to leave as badly as she wanted me to be gone. If there is any question as to if you want to go here, just read the owners comments to complaints on google reviews and see how many 1 Star reviews there are (oddly enough there hadn't been any reviews in 2 months and then after my friend posted a negative review today--and was met with defensiveness by the owner--there were a handful of five star reviews in a row all within a couple hours... I'll let you be the judge of that, but seems fishy to me).

Karen was always very pleasant and we were so happy with our first appointment but it went downhill from there. Karen takes the measurements and does the pinning and then dictates directions into her phone to be done by her staff. That is where the disconnect comes in. Karen is not doing the majority of the work and you may have someone working on it who she is training. She is also not following up checking the work done. It is fair to say the work looked shoddy. Basically, almost everything that was done was done incorrectly. We brought the dress in 4 months early because we made it clear we wanted the dress at least 2 weeks before the wedding. Fittings were incorrect, appointments canceled and delayed. She took the joy out of having a dream wedding dress experience. Truly was a nightmare. They basically had to redo all the shoddy work the last appointment which was less than 48 hours to the wedding. To name a few of the errors: waist taken in too tight, zipper and hook in the back put back so it was sticking out exposed for all to see where before it was seamless, random threads everywhere, scrunched up siding that should be smooth, the bustle was 100% wrong and not what we discussed and straps were not adjusting correctly as we discussed. Meanwhile we missed dinner with out of town family guests because we had to wait for this dress for 4 hours and retry it on again with more corrections! The had 4 months to work on the dress and practically had to redo everything in the last 48 hours and acted as if they were doing us a favor by working late to finish it. The bustle did not stay up for the wedding. The buttons were sewn on loose and the snaps for the under layers did not stay snapped. My daughter had to go into the bathroom 3 times to literally sew the dress together. Disappointment is an understatement and I would NEVER recommend taking any dress there for alterations. I also feel we should get a refund for the almost $900 she charged but I am certain that won't happen since it was already paid in full.

I've never felt more beautiful in a dress before I had one made by her. Muna is an artist at what she does. She can make anything you dream up into a truly customized and beautiful couture gown. It looked like a roll of fabric threw up all over the floor. I couldn't believe how unorganized and messy everything looked. B. I had to speak up and talk to them first, no one greated me at the door. So I said "Hey, the place down the hall sent me over - they said you do wedding dress alterations." 3 of the women stared at me until I turned my head and saw a younger lady sitting there. She was very nice and asked me what I needed. I believe she was the daughter of the owner. So I told her and she showed me into a dressing room and told me to put my dress on. C. I go into the dressing room and there is stuff everywhere. No one offered to help me put on my HUGE ballroom gown wedding dress so after struggling for about 10 minutes, I finally got it on. D. When the nice girl that helped me came back - she brought her mom (I assume). Her mom looks at me and says..."well - this will be very expensive". I knew alterations would be so I said that's fine. Then she continued to look at me with such distasted and said "Well, we make clothes, so it'll look good but before I pin you, let me do an estimate." Maybe I just looked poor or they didn't care to help me, I don't know. But she came back and said my dress alterations would cost $700. Ha, I laughed, because I thought she was kidding. I'm not a moron, I knew it would be expensive (as in $400), but there was now way I was going to pay them $700 after their poor customer service. So I got undressed and walked out. I will never visit them again for any alterations I'll ever need. They were rude, acted like they were better than me and their studio was awfully cluttered. My dress would have been lost in there.
