I don't get the hype. I have tried their Holiday location a few times and am always left disappointed. The last visit I made myself required a full refund it was so bad. A coworker brought some today that just was not good at all. It was sour. I have had very good "bright" coffees and have very much enjoyed many acidic single origin espressos but this was plain sour like a poorly pulled shot. I don't know if the barista was off, the grind was off or the temp was off but the shot that went in my drink was definitely off. I have tried this place every 18 months or so since they first opened, always ordering a simple, classic espresso and steamed milk drink, either a latte, cappuccino or macchiato and have yet to get a well made drink there, with the coffee itself always being the problem. read more

While heading to see my cousins and nieces in Holiday, I spotted this place in a plaza right around the corner from my family's home. There was no need for concern since there was a friendly team member walking from car to car taking orders (and wearing her mask which was much appreciated as this is during COVID). There's a sign on the back wall with a URL to view the menu. We placed our order and even with the long line, we had coffee in hand within less than 10 minutes. The person at the window was very kind also. And as far as the coffee goes? Delicious! I ordered an iced mocha and was delighted to have the option between dark or milk chocolate for the mocha part. I chose dark chocolate and added an extra shot of espresso and it was so good. It's high quality coffee and less expensive than what you would pay at one of the chain coffee spots. I've been following WDE on IG for a while now but we're not up in this area very often. Today, was the day! I had an appointment at Sun Toyota and on a whim checked to see how far it is from White Duck, score! It's just down the road. The girl at the counter was also super nice (I really liked her mani too) anyways, I ordered an iced bananas foster coffee with oat milk, my son got the beckons, a pesto & mozzarella croissant and salted caramel mini donuts, that we unfortunately didn't get. We got sugared donuts instead :sad face: but hey we still got donuts! We loved the drinks (mine was just a tad too sweet) but it was still delicious, I should've added espresso but next time! My 14 year old pretty much downed his drink, so he approves. The croissant was tasty and hefty! I was expecting a flimsy croissant but this one had weight! The donuts, while not what we ordered was still pretty good, a lil dry but not too bad. Over all it was worth the wait. They moved that line fairly quick.
