These donuts are absolutely the best I have found in the area. Get a powdered sugar donut and they fill it with the flavoring you like. Boston cream, raspberry, strawberry. This filling is not like Dunkin where you have to pray there is something in the donut. Mr Donut fills it so much as soon as you bite into it the jelly is oozing out. The glazed donut is so so good. We stopped into Mr. Donut and were the only customers there, so we were helped right away. The staff was friendly, but the shop looked a bit unorganized and the back area seemed messy, which made me a little hesitant. Still, I've heard good things, so I ordered a few kolaches and donuts to give it a try. When we got home, one of the glazed donuts had spots on it that looked like it could be mold. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but it didn't look right, and I wasn't comfortable eating it. The regular kolaches were also sitting openly on the counter and were very overdone, so we ended up choosing the jalapeño and cheddar ones instead. I do think this place has potential because the menu items themselves sound great, but a little more organization and cleanliness would go a long way. I kept seeing people's posts on Facebook about MR DONUT in New Port Richey. I finally gave them a try. I got there late in the day so I was expecting there to be nothing left, but they still had a great selection. They are delicious! We got the glazed twists, apple fritters and cinnamon rolls with sugar and chocolate. They are huge and delicious!! The store was very clean, they had a few tables inside and out. They offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Boba drinks and frozen fruit drinks. read more

Staff was very friendly and they were very busy but getting through the orders quickly. Donuts are very sweet, so a little goes a long way. There isn't a lot of room inside but there are two tables outside for sitting. We tried several specialty donuts, but honestly I bet their regular glazed is probably where it's at. We stopped by this brand new family-owned donut shop and you can tell how much love and investment the owners have put into creating a welcoming space. The shop is clean, bright, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu has a nice amount of variety with donuts, breakfast sandwiches, kolaches, boba,smoothies, and more. I really liked the apple fritters, which they offered them in different styles so customers can choose whether they prefer a softer or crunchier donut. It's thoughtful that they do this to cater to their customers and preferences. The staff was friendly and patient, taking time to help us pick out a sampling of donuts. They had a big variety of donuts to choose from- from filled, to sprinkles, to glazed and even cake donuts. The blueberry cake donut was a favorite for me! We also tried a breakfast sandwich: turkey sausage, egg, and cheese. Overall it was good but it needs an additional egg on it because the croissant is so large. Mr Donut seriously impressed me! I grabbed an apple fritter (so good--perfectly crispy and soft inside) and also tried the chocolate frosted and maple frosted. Hands down some of the best donuts I've ever had. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I liked that they have a few small tables both inside and outside if you want to sit and enjoy your donut. They also have a wide variety of breakfast sandwiches and boba that I'm really looking forward to trying on my next visit. The only small thing I'd change is labeling the donuts in the display case so it's easier to know all the flavors--but honestly, everything we tried was amazing. Definitely coming back! read more

Maybe i just arrived way to early (20 minutes after opening) or it was just a bad morning. There was practically nothing on the shelves and 1/2 the donuts looked like the icing had melted off.. To be fair i had bought donuts here once before (went in at the same time) and that time they had good selection and the looked and tasted good. Guess it depends....unfortunately they're just to few traditional donut shops in the area...kinda captured audience... I am adding an addendum to these comments. Just a little hole in the wall, all homemade donut shop with so many to choose from. I recommend the huge Bear Claw, complete with the claws on the foot and the Apple Fritters were big and delicious too. I have not had any donut that I didn't t love! This place is exactly what I wanted and more! Was looking for a good, local, hole in the wall donut shop that had fritters and kolaches for a small company event. I was able to walk in and get a dozen apple fritters, a dozen kolaches, and a dozen donuts that were all delicious. Donuts and pastries are generally very good. Service can be slow when there is one person but friendly. The real issue is running out of popular donuts and why I will find somewhere elst. I have to drive a little out of the way to go there and twice now once at 10:30AM the other around 11AM they were out of Chocolate donuts. We sell alot of them only makes it worse, then you know there is a demand. This second time they also were out of some pastry the person in front was asking for. When Donuts are your main business you have to have the selection with maybe rare exceptions. read more
