I called around to various places, but Brown and Love were the only crew that sent someone out ASAP. They were on the job pretty much immediately, diagnosing the problem and quickly surmising this was going to be the job from hell because of our huge amp box. Now, when you're told that you may be looking at several THOUSANDS of dollars to get your power back on...you're not happy. However, I think Michael was madder about this than I was (I just wanted power at that point) as he and the crew spent HOURS--yes, hours--finding a cheaper option. And what do you know, they did. While we were waiting for parts sourcing they also removed a light fixture, changed out a ceiling fan, and replaced some blank breakers. We had TWO guys out working ALL DAY, they promised me they would fix the problem (and they did!), they were super friendly, and the price was more than reasonable (and not several thousand dollars, due to the fact they weren't trying to price gouge us). 100% ethical, honest, legit business who we'll call again once the dreaded electrician is needed.

This time was different and disappointing. We were approached by a female sales associated who I can only say reacting as if she didn't want us in the store. Why she even approached us is hard for me to reconcile because she clearly wasn't interested in serving us. She was very cold and dismissive to us and really unwilling to spend much time helping us. She made offensive statements like when I asked about something that I was interesting in seeing, she told me the price as if it was a deterrent and I eventually just said well we will just go somewhere else, she recommended that we might want to look at habitat for humanity. No Ma'am, I have a Doctorate Degree, a black card, and a 5400 square foot custom home. You go to Habitat. I did speak with the owner about this employee but was so convinced that this has to be the culture that I knew I had to share my experience. The project would include controls for locks, security, music, Video, lights and shades. All items would be controlled by one single user interface. Most of use have some of these items yet they all don't work on one interface or program. I iPhones are filled with apps for everything. Fun but not functional. In my journey to find a local dealer for my entire system, one product was missing. Automated shades. I wanted a laundry list of features which included but not limited too: a) Easily rechargeable batteries (Not replaceable); b) Inside the window mount; c) bedroom windows with both a blackout and sun shade; d) Automated; e) compatible with my home automation system which is Control4; f) If at all possible, no facia needed. The only product that suited all my needs was called, Screen Innovations (SI). I called SI home office and got a list of installers. I interviewed them all. Mozaic Audio Visual was the BEST of the BEST. When you invest in your home for really high quality automated shades, you want experience in service as well as installation. There is two companies in Birmingham that provide this product. One is the largest in town, they other is a new dealer. The largest simply was to busy to communication in a timely manner. The other dealer was great but too new to rate. Instead, I used Mozaic whom is located 90 minutes away. They did GREAT. Installation, simple, quick, and done on the day they said they would do it. Issues after the fact, a few but all resolved instantly. Communication, within a hour or two max. Service after the fact, handled with one phone call. You can't ask for anything more. Folks, read my reviews. I don't hold back. If a company does the job, I say so. If they don't, I speak my mind in the most professional way. We all deserve to get the product, service and installation we pay for. Mozaic does just that. Just my two cents.
