I recently had a session and my experience was amazing. About 3 weeks before I spoke to Soraya on the phone and gave her a quick summary of what I was feeling and what I wanted from this reading. This review is long overdue, but finding Soraya was such a gift from the universe. I was boarded on a flight back to LA from my travel venture and felt unwell. I felt as if I wasn't actually sick, but it was instead spiritual ascension sickness. So I look up reiki on yelp over in LA, and sure enough found Soraya. She was the first and only person I found that I was called to go to. Texted her and asked her if she had any available openings later that night, and thankfully she did! Finding Soraya was pure magic! We talked for about a good half hour about what brought me in to see her, etc. and then started the reiki. We actually found out that I was having spiritual ascension sickness because I just got my reiki I attunement; I just totally overlooked that part and we had a good laugh about me not connecting two and two together! I've always wondered about Reiki and finally decided to do a bit of research into its benefits. I then started looking into different healers in Los Angeles and was instantly blown away by Soraya's reviews and website. Had a great experience with Soraya! I felt so connected with her during the session, and I could feel the energy lifting in some of the areas she was working on. I was resistant about trying something like this initially, solely because I wasn't completely sure how I could believe someone can make you feel lighter; but for the first time I can say I did! The session went great, I had an immediate release when I got home which shocked me and I felt like I had a few of the reactions she later mentions. She is quick to anger and be argumentative if you have any comments. Reiki is supposed to be relaxing. This was stressful. It was my first time having my energy healed and I'm so happy I choose Soraya! She has a pure beauty within. I felt totally comfortable in her presence and in her home. I've been on a person healing journey for a solid three years now, and a friend of mine suggested reiki and referred me to Soraya's website. I wasn't aware of what it was or how chakras and everything worked, but I made an appointment immediately. Not because of her website, but because I was interested in learning, trying something new and the continued investment in my everlasting journey. I received an immediate response after booking my appointment via email, and a personal text the day before my appt to confirm; Right there, I was already pleased with her customer service--Especially since she's located in Beverly Hills, and I reside in San Diego. Upon arrival, she greeted me with her genuine smile, had water waiting for me, and we sat and talked openly and honestly about "why I was there." She was so welcoming, positive, and authentic--she felt safe. The actual session (once I was moved to the table) is unreal, powerful, moving, euphoric and personal. From the minute I met her, Soraya was full of warmth and love. It is incredible to meet someone for the very first time and know that they already care deeply about you. I had never done reiki before, and as a scientist I wasn't sure what to expect. But this session was MAGIC. I came in mid panic attack with tears in the corners of my eyes. She patiently validated everything that I was feeling and I felt like we were in the healing journey together. She explained how energy practices such as reiki work, as well as context on the chakras and Buddhism in general. This was really valuable to me because it helped me understand the long history of healing practices and learn examples where it had worked. She generously went way longer than the session time I had booked and by the time I left I felt calm, warm, and HOPEFUL (esp as I have chronic anxiety). She also sensed that I was feeling disconnected, and invited me into her community to get to know more people in this space. Also... my lips and edges of my forehead actually tingled during the reiki which is not something I expected, nor something she told me in advance might happen (tho after she said it was common). The next day I was extremely hungry, which was also exciting because I have a health condition which eliminates my appetite and makes it very difficult to keep on weight as eating is normally uncomfortable when I am not hungry.
