MIND BLOWN! - Tattoo Artist EXTRAORDINAR, Julian Kates of White Lotus Tattoo does it again and goes so far beyond expectations that we hardly have words to describe it. My husband recently became part of an elite group of around 1,000 runners from over 30 countries to bare the title Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Finisher, a title that he is most honored and proud to own. This journey was completed and fulfilled by running a series of six of the largest and most renowned marathons in the world: The Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York City Marathon's. In an effort to celebrate, and more importantly commemorate, this huge accomplishment he decided, as I did recently, to get his very first tattoo.   To say that we are pleased with the results would be a huge understatement. I had been contemplating a tattoo for several years now, and at last decided that this was the right time. After shopping around at multiple tattoo shops, I recently found myself at White Lotus in Highlands Ranch. I met with Matt, who walked me through the entire process, cleaning procedures (which were very important to me), along with other aspects of getting a tattoo. I found the shop to be extremely clean, and with what appeared to be updated equipment. I made an appt. with Matt and got my tattoo a few days later. Matt again recognized that sanitation was key for me, as he again explained everything to me in great detail, which made my experience at White Lotus worthwhile. My tattoo, which has important meaning to me and my family, turned out great with no flaws. Matt explained to me aftercare, and future suggestions for additional tattoos or improvements to my current one. I highly would suggest that White Louts is your only stop for getting a tattoo, whether it is your 1st or 50th. I gifted my husband a tattoo for Father's Day, and from the first initial meeting with Mikey McGinley, who was in the process of setting up to tattoo another customer, took 5 minutes to give me a quote and about how long we should expect to be there, I felt at ease in knowing I was making the right choice for my husband!! When I went back to pay for the gift certificate, Natasha was extremely helpful and was just as excited for me to be able to do this for my husband!!! The day of my husbands appointment, was yesterday, they got started a little late, but no big deal as it takes time to draw the stencil, setup ink and machines, prep my husband and apply the stencil! Mikey and the rest of the staff were all talking and having a good time, while also tending to their customers! The camaraderie was infectious, and the shop was clean and sterile! I will be getting my tattoo done here and done with Mike!! Class act all the way and you can't go wrong if you choose White Lotus!!!! I got my first tattoo today and I had a wonderful experience. Much love for Ohran my tattoo artist! He took such good care of me, by making sure I was comfortable during the entire process. I got light headed and passed-out about 60% into it and I couldn't recover because I had an empty stomach. Ohran didn't rush me or get irritated with me; instead he wiped my neck down with a cold towel, fanned me like a queen and laid me down. Melissa, his lil sis, got me water and few snacks to try and help me recover (she was such a sweet heart!). I ended up leaving to get a full meal and some rest and when I returned Ohran was happy to see me and finished my tattoo with TLC. I'm over joyed with the results and I' m soooo glad he was my artist (although everyone in the shop was very kind to me and I'm sure I would have gotten the same treatment if I had a different artist). My daughter and I went to get our first tattoos, After doing research and visiting several tattoo shops, we landed at the White Lotus in Highlands Ranch. We looked though the portfolios of all the artists. They were all very impressive but we both decided to have Mikey Nickels do our tattoos. Everyone's portfolios were outstanding, however Mikey's art really fit what we were looking for. The day of our appointments Mikey drew up a custom tattoo for my daughter, of a great twist on our clan crest. It took about an hour and a half for her. Working with Mikey was great! He's an outstanding artist and works at your pace (tattoos do hurt), makes great conversation, or lets you listen to your music. Everyone that works at the shop was great. All the other artists check each other's work as it is going, and made it a very fun experience. The shop is very clean, with an upbeat vibe. ​I absolutely love this place. Although the prices can seem a bit steep it's well worth it. You pay for what you get. I'd rather wait hours in line to receive a piercing here (and I have) than go anywhere else because of the high-quality​ service I receive here that I haven't anywhere else. I've gotten 5 piercings here (rook, daith, nose and conch x2) and the thought and time put into placing and sizing of the jewelry make​ me feel really safe with the decisions made. James is an outstanding, experienced piercer and I 100% recommend him to any and everyone. Mason is another great piercer who is also a wonderful personality. Whichever piercer you meet, you can rest assured that you'll be in good hands. I always ask for advice when it comes to the placement/sizing of jewelry that would look best on me and every time I'm always pleased with the suggestions made. I come from a family of tattoo artists. My brother is a well known artist in Orange County, CA. I am extremely picky and hold very high standards for tattoo shops and artists. I love going to White Lotus! I found them some time in 2009 (just after they opened) and I've been going to Chris on a regular basis. I have sent many of my friends to him as well. He does quick, quality work and I'm totally addicted! He's currently working on a Japanese themed half sleeve on me and another sleeve on my husband! We take turns coming to him and he's always very accomodating in getting us the appointment time we need. Chris is a fabulous artist that does quality work and he's super fun to sit with for a 4 hour session! You will never run out of things to talk to and you will never feel like he's not listening to you and your needs. I think the shop overall is fabulous and they have some wonderfully talented artists there! But Chris is my guy!! :) read more

This place is perfect! I have gotten all my tattoos done there and each time with a different artist. Even though it's with a different artist, I still have a great experience. This last time I went my artist was Hayden. She was so easy to talk to and made great conversation which made me completely forget about the pain in my ribs. She was funny and very open about everything. She helped me with my tattoo and she was excited to make sure it was my own. She kept me up to date the whole time and told me exactly where we were in finishing the tattoo. She stopped a couple of times and made sure I was still comfortable and I was okay and the pain wasn't too much to handle. She was exactly what I needed in an artist especially for a tattoo on my ribs. I have and will continue to recommend this place to everyone I know who wants a piercing or a tattoo done! read more

I went here today with my adult niece as she wanted a belly button piercing and I was looking to increase gauge size on a couple piercings. We did not have an appointment but were introduced to Brian in a matter of a couple of minutes. After explaining what each of us wanted and getting his input, we were in the back getting started. Brian took the time to go over everything with both of us completely. Hygiene was a priority for Brian and that impressed me. When my niece touched the piercing area after cleaning, he stopped and started the whole process over to ensure there were no issues. His instructions were clear and to the point. He was helpful to both of us and fun to talk to. I will be doing additional piercings and I will definitely return to Brian at White Lotus for my piercings and highly recommend a visit. read more

This place is great! My niece and I went in to get pierced on a Sunday. They were very nice and accommodating and we got right in. Sam answered my questions and helped me decide between forward helix and rook piercings. After looking at my ear, he recommended the rook. He explained the process very well and put us at ease. He opened the tools from the sterile packaging in front of us. I had watched some videos online before going and was a little nervous. But Sam was super quick and doesn't mess around. You can tell he really knows what he's doing. My niece got her nose pierced and it was quick and easy also. Sam explained how to take care of it and gave each of us a little bag of sea salt for soaking. I would definitely recommend Sam and White Lotus for piercings! read more

These guys are so awesome. I called ahead to make sure I could do a walk in for a nose piercing and the lady I spoke to on the phone was super sweet and professional. When I got there she walked me though all of my options for the ring, detailed what the process for the piercing would look like, and went through the paperwork. Mase did the piercing and was fantastic the whole way through. I was super anxious having never been pierced before and talking to him calmed me down a lot. He gave clear instructions on how to take care of the ring after. I was honestly stunned because the piercing itself was nearly painless. Blown away again by Randy!! So much to say about the shop itself, the quality of the tattoo, and the atmosphere there! This was my second piece done by Randy, both times I was more than happy! As well as my daughter has a few from him as well. The shop is clean and everyone in there both times made the experience unforgettable!! This tattoo was very personal for my sister and I, and both of us couldn't be happier with how they turned out!! I had a horrid arm band that I've hated for years; my last tattoo experience was a nightmare and while I wanted to get my band covered I was a little hesitant to. I was referred to White Lotus by a friend who'd had some work done there, I looked at Chris' portfolio and was really impressed. We met to discuss what I wanted and he put my fears at ease and promised that my tattoo experience would be 'awesome' - and it was! I now have a beautiful quarter sleeve that I absolutely LOVE and you can't see the arm band any more. This place is absolutely amazing. I went in for a tattoo on Monday, and Ohran and Mase (I'm 99% sure that was his name), we're absolutely amazing. Ohran did an absolutely amazing job, he's an amazing artist; he literally freehand drew part of my tattoo on my arm, which is super impressive. My tattoo took longer than expected, so we were there after their shop closed, and after Mase closed up the store he told me jokes while Ohran was still working on my arm, and it just made the entire experience unique and amazing for me. 10/10 I would recommend this tattoo shop to anyone and 10/10 I would recommend Ohran being your artist, and Mase to sit there and talk to you for a while haha. read more

Everyone was welcoming and it seemed like a great environment to work. In particular, Aaron is a great guy and we carried on a wonderful conversation during my visit. I went to White Lotus to get my tongue pierced. I had had a tongue piercing several years ago and removed it for a job. Having some frame of reference, then, I am confident when I say that the entire experience was wonderful. Brian was thorough, to say the least. He explained everything better than could reasonably be expected. I have absolute confidence in the sanitation practices and the quality of the piercing itself. Thanks to Brian's explanations I feel I can safely handle the aftercare myself and will return to replace the jewelry with a more suitable piece when the swelling subsides. All good things. I've gotten 2 tattoos from the owner Mike Nickels, and they were beyond my expectation. I told him what I had in mind and what he came up with just blew my mind. I wanted NOTHING changed. The first one is a Honey Badger in some rocks and bushes and the second one is a grizzly bear with rocks, trees, mountains, sun, sky, clouds and my wife's initial nestled in a corner. Absolute works of art! The place is clean, lots of sterile precautions and preventative measures are taken and Mike puts his clients comfort at the top of the list.
