Loved meeting up with an old friend on a cold morning here. The natural lighting is incredible in this coffee shop. It's a great place to read a book, meet up with friends, or get some work done. On our visit, I tried the dark chocolate mocha with soy and the avocado toast. I loved all the fun topping on the avocado toast. I also appreciated that my mocha wasn't too sweet. We came on a weekend and it was busy. There was a bit of a line, but it went by quickly. I really love their neon sign. It makes any of your Yelp pictures look great. When I visited, they had a 10% off your order check-in offer, so I'd highly recommend using that! A great coffee shop to check out in Brooklyn. Highly recommend stopping by before checking out the Transit Museum (that's what we did). Love love this spot! This has to be one of the best coffee shop I've tried in a while! I came after one of my friends recommended the matcha here and boy was it perfect! My go-to order is an oat matcha, less sweet if possible and they did it perfect here! Slight sweet, creamy oat milk and most importantly you get the full body matcha flavor that I love! I also tried the butter, almond, and ham & cheese croissants and all were delicious! I love that the almond and ham & cheese croissants aren't too heavy and have the perfect ratio of almond filling / cheese to croissant. Stumbled across this cute cafe with my coworkers when we were in the area! The matcha latte with oat milk was probably one of the best matcha lattes I've had in a while. The matcha flavor was strong with a slight touch of bitterness, and balanced well with the oat milk. Each drink is whisked to order, so you're able to easily adjust the sweetness level (my preference is little or no sugar). Their almond croissant was pretty standard, though I was impressed by how crispy (and not dense) the croissant was. I don't prefer when almond croissants are super sweet, and I thought the ratio of filling to croissant was perfect. The cafe itself has simple decor and ample seating. Although there were many people sitting at the tables, there was barely a line when we visited around 10:30am on a weekday, and the drinks for our group were prepared quickly. I stumbled upon this White Noise location and was intrigued by the bright white design with the pops of color from the plants that added life and warmth to the space and the rave reviews of the quality of the food and coffee. I stopped by one morning and got the famed egg sandwich and an oat milk latte. The egg sandwich was worth the hype. The egg was the star - warm, fluffy, flavorful - and paired well with the slightly toasted brioche bun. I also liked the slight sweetness from the plum mayo. Highly recommend. I got mine plain, but you can add prosciutto or smoked salmon if you like! The oat milk latte was delicious and hit the spot on a gloomy morning. Overall, White Noise Coffee Co is a unique local hotspot for residents and tourists alike. It's in a convenient location, walking distance to Downtown Brooklyn. I'm giving this place the roughly 4 1/2 stars it averages because it's really good. My only gripe here (and the half star deduction) is really about the price point on some of the items. While I understand the economy isn't the greatest, it's downtown Brooklyn, etc. it just seems like it's higher than it needs to be. That aside, absolutely awesome little cafe on the corner of Schermerhorn and Smith St. We were staying at the Downtown Brooklyn Hilton in the same building and there was a day I slept in and wasn't really feeling like the hotel buffet breakfast but I wanted a quick bite before we headed out for our daily adventures so I thought I'd stop in for a sandwich. While my wife already had breakfast she wanted a hot chocolate so I ordered that along with my BEC (Bacon Egg and Cheese) sandwich. I actually asked them for an extra egg on the sandwich and the cashier asked me if I was sure because he said they were pretty big 'as-is' so I relented on the extra egg request. When they asked if I wanted dark or milk chocolate for the hot chocolate I was a bit taken aback, but at the same time thinking this is probably gonna be pretty good, and it was :) I watched the counter for my order and saw them put what I thought might be my sandwich into a box and then into a bag... with utensils. At this point I'm thinking this is NOT the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich I envisioned walking down the street with and chowing down, so I bring it back to the table where we were sitting and waiting. The sandwich was HUGE and absolutely delicious. Served on a nice, soft brioche roll with a decent amount of bacon and what seems to be at least 3 maybe 4 scrambled eggs it's very filling and extremely tasty. They even include a pile of greens and some mini-pickles though the sandwich was good enough on its' own. 4 1/2 Stars!! read more

Idk if easy ice is a thing since I'm not a big coffee drinker. But I asked for easy ice (basically less ice) and still got half a cup of ice. White Noise!? Gets me in that neon signs and lightning bolts kinda way... which is a nice kickstart to getting a good coffee in the morning. Space: is a good size and appears to be good for working pre-Covid/post-Covid/whenever humans are allowed to be inside of an establishment for more than 15 minutes. Beverage: an oat cappuccino to warm me up on a chilly day. The oat milk was smooth and had a silky feel to it... the espresso had nice, bold flavor and wasn't bitter by any means. Decor/Branding: on point. Walk in to an almost square space. Directly ahead of you is the counter and to the right is seating, with a backdrop of a simple, white, tiled wall along with a neon sign reading: White Noise. Tips: *The barista uses a pair of tongs to pick up the lid to your beverage and place it on top of your cup *I only had a beverage, but understand that their breakfast sammies are pretty good. *10% off of your order if you check in on Yelp! This is the stuff of my sandwich dreams, and I am happy to report I left White Noise Coffee Co. a very happy camper. The space is very large, with tables and outlets aplenty. I parked myself at a table with my laptop to work for a couple of hours, using their fast wifi and sipping on their strong coffee. That they have excellent breakfast sandwiches is an added bonus of this solid coffee shop. I'd like to express extra thanks to the guys behind the counter who appeased me in my annoying request to receive the sandwich about an hour after I ordered it since I wanted to pay for my drink and food upfront but didn't want to eat for another hour. Came in and was surprised by the general disorder - people filling up jars of something on the side, barista cleaning cups and chef preparing food but no one to greet or take orders. They have not just coffee, but açaí bowls and salads. Good place to have a date or a meeting. I came with my female partner in crime for a little get together one morning. This seemed like it was getting some good reviews. It's located next to the Hilton. This is around the corner on Smith. It's located to a favorite of mine, Absolute Coffee, and close by is a Blue Bottle Coffee. This was our first time here so we had lots of assumptions about the coffee and style. I called it. The interior is nearly all white. Each of us got a regular drip coffee. It's about $3 for a mug. They have non dairy milk like any good coffee shop. A pleasant surprise was the food. It was more than just pastries. They have actual healthy items that are made after you order, and ready several minutes after that. I liked the açaí bowl. It's about $10 for a decent sized one. This comes with bananas, blueberries, chia seeds, coconut, and strawberries. It unfortunately is a hip coffee place in Brooklyn so it's not cheap. Might as well get an açaí bowl with it. I did see how the food looks and I must say it looks pretty filling so I might just try it at least once. Service: It is a quick order at the front and waits at the seating area type of place. It is not a place to do work because they block off all the plugs and there is no wifi so it is more of a place to talk with friends and head out after half an hour. The bathroom is only for people who purchase an item from the cafe. If you do end up using it, beware the lock is very hard to open up so be prepared to force your way out. Food: I got the matcha latte and it was very fresh and not the artificial kind of stuff you will get from powder. My girlfriend got the chocolate croissant here which was around $4.00. It is definitely a cute place to chat and grab a cup of coffee. Overall: I will definitely try the food here next time! No need to trek to Flushing now that White Noise Coffee Co. has opened up a Brooklyn location! Even better, it's just a few steps and a hop away from my doctor's office, so I get to treat myself for keeping up with my health. That's how it works, right? My iced matcha latte with oat milk was perfectly done, with a creamy texture and smooth, rich matcha flavor. I also got the Tamagoyaki Sando (a Japanese-style egg omelette sandwich with sweet soy, wasabi aioli, and yuzu pickles on milk bread) and added grilled spam. This sandwich was so gigantic that I had to deconstruct it and eat each layer separately. The egg and milk bread were large and fluffy, the spam was delicious, and the pickles had a nice flavor that was more sweet and mild than tart and vinegary. The mayo didn't taste like wasabi, which made me oh so relieved. I was so full that I had to pack the other half, so it's definitely shareable. These two items set me back almost $20, but I suppose that's acceptable (if not ideal) considering the quality and portion size. The space is large and beautifully decorated with plenty of seating. White Noise was a space that was very nicely decorated and clean! Very picturesque and I appreciate all the windows as it brings in a lot of light and makes it easy to look out the street. I got the caramel and vanilla iced latte which was a little pricey (you can combine syrups) but service was friendly. The downsides to this cafe were that there were no outlets or wifi so please plan accordingly. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're trying to churn out a lot of work. Tip though, there was free public wifi from NYLink but again, if you have a lot of work to do, I'd avoid it since it could be slow and spotty. The staff is friendly, warm and knowledgeable about their offerings which is always helpful to ensure that wait times are low. The food is always fresh which you cant say for every coffee shop whether it's a one off or a chain. Looks half generic, half Brooklyn-industrial, but the coffee is about as special as it gets. I tried the drip coffee, which today was a natural Ethiopian. It was outstanding. Prices are very reasonable for specialty coffee that's well-made. Having come here a lot more often since my last review, I can provide a more detailed review on White Noise. Overall I give this cafe a 4.5/5. The AWESOME: - Spacious but with plenty of comfortable seating. This place is always packed, but even at its busiest I never have trouble getting a seat if I wait a couple of minutes. - This is in my opinion the best place in the neighborhood to get a couple hours of work or study done. Plenty of natural light, minimalist decor, and I never feel cramped or claustrophobic like some other coffee shops in the neighborhood. - Oat matcha latte is EXCELLENT and the food is very good from what I've tried so far. Room for improvement: -For some reason they're always running out of mugs when I try to get a coffee to stay. Not sure if this is because they're just that busy, but it seems to me that they should invest in some more mugs given how busy it is. - They unfortunately took away their best menu item: the tamagoyaki sando. This is what initially kept me coming back to White Noise. It was a delicious, unique cafe addition in a neighborhood filled with coffee shops serving basic crap (hello avocado toast). I also appreciated the Japanese inspiration. They sadly seem to be shifting more to the mainstream, which I think is to their detriment. We don't need more avocado toast; we need more shops serving up Japanese inspired cafe dishes like the sando. I hope they think up some more Asian fusion-y snacks to serve here. read more

My friend and I came here to catch up/do some work but were told they didn't give out their wifi and to hotspot instead - super understandable but disappointing since the queens location had. My friend ordered a caramel ice latte and I ordered my go-to from the other location, an lavender ice latte. Both weren't listed on the menu so we just had to ask. I came to White Noise after finding the layout aesthetic and because it had some good reviews. Come to find out, the place lives up to their reviews! The staff is extremely friendly and the actual cafe is super cute and roomy. I love the atmosphere that White Noise has and it is a bonus that they play lofi music. It is a great place to get work done or just catch up with some friends. There is also free WiFi & the password to the wifi is on the receipt. The code to the bathroom is also on the receipt. I ordered the iced matcha latte which is $6 and is not overly sweet and tastes pretty good. If you like your matcha lattes sweeter, there is simple syrup on the side, which is very thoughtful of them. I also asked for a cup of hot water and they did not hesitate to say sure! I got to watch the barista make a latte and she seems really meticulous with her work. They accept cash & credit card at the register.
