I had an appointment to have my teeth cleaned yesterday, February 10, 2026. This appointment had been delayed because Kira my dental hygienist had been sick far a week. Going to the dentist has never been a comfortable situation for me. But, Kira is such a gentle, kind person. She is also very informative. She helped me see how I could floss better. She encouraged me to take the time to care for my teeth. Dr. Nada is fantastic. She has crowned a tooth. This is not my first crown, but it was the first one by her and I was so appreciative of her gentle ways. I have a small mouth, and her hands are just perfect. She also fitted me with a apnea dental appliance. Each visit she checks my mouth for any problems. I appreciate that. read more

I would steer clear of this office especially Dr. Hamouda. I was a patient here about 8 years ago, she told me I needed a ton of cavities filled. I was young and dumb and should have gotten a 2nd opinion. After getting my cavities filled the office said there's no option for a payment plan and I had to pay it all up front. I was a young college student in nursing school I had to beg and borrow to pay it. With her having 2 daughters herself I can't believe she showed 0 sympathy but whatever. I have been through every dental procedure possible and was prescribed a "bite-guard" because I grind my teeth at night... What ended up happening is it screwed up my bite! I was then given an invisiline but it didn't correct my front teeth and the dentist acted like it did!! I was then barked at by the office staff for getting rid of one of them and told "It could have been adjusted!! NO IT CAN'T BE!!!! I'm considering pressing charges!! read more

They were 15 minutes late. I spent one and one half hours at my appointment and didn't even get my teeth cleaned. They wanted to do 22 X-rays. They were not able to tell me what my insurance would cover. Sent me a bill that was wrong. And I still don't have a treatment plan from my visit over a week ago. Very disorganized. read more

A few years ago, I went to White Pearl asking for a routine cleaning, and asked up front to do only what my dental insurance would cover. During the visit, after Xrays and a dental exam, the hygienist said that some of my gums were receding and I would need a deeper cleaning, which would require an extra fee of $96 in addition to my insurance coverage. I said ok and paid the fee. Note that I've never had dental visits in the past with gum problems, and have never needed a "deeper cleaning". Dr. Hamouda came in at the end of the cleaning for a final exam, spent about 5 minutes with me and recommended that I buy a bite guard (even though I said I already had one). A few months later I got a bill for $350. My insurance had reviewed the paperwork and did not feel that I needed a deeper cleaning, and did not want to cover the charge for this. I asked a few dentist friends to review the xrays and notes, and they thought it was inconclusive whether I needed the "deep cleaning". They also commented that it is common for some dental clinics to exaggerate the degree of gum loss for billing purposes, however it is often covered by insurance so that it ends up being no difference to the patient. I asked White Pearl to please consider that I didn't want to pay anything more than my insurance coverage and had already paid out of pocket costs. I asked them to either clarify their documentation so my insurance would cover the charge, or waive the cost since they had assured me I would only need to pay $96 out of pocket. Dr. Hamouda was inflexible, stating I still was responsible for the cost. After going back and forth for a few months, I paid half the remaining charge to avoid getting the bill sent to collections, i.e. ended up paying $250 out of pocket for a cleaning that may not have even been needed. I've heard good recommendations of this dentist office, however my concern is that their nice facilities and massage chairs are supported by these types of upcharges towards the patient or insurance. read more

Dr. Hamouda's office is modern and clean, with sufficient parking. Her credentials are very impressive and she always delivers the necessary information about my dental health in an honest and succinct manner. I usually lose the paper business cards that document my next appointment, but her office has me covered. I am always reminded of my next appointment via a phone call and most recently I even received a text message containing the details of my next appointment. Attention to small details like this make all the difference in creating a happy doctor patient relationship. I would say that this is the best dentist I've had yet. read more

They have little cameras to show you your teeth on perfectly clear computer screens so you can see exactly what they are talking about. Everyone in the office is so friendly and professional. They are hospitable and offer you bottled water and make sure you are comfortable. It's easy to get an appointment right away. They typically run right on time. Dr. Hamouda is very thorough and skilled and gets things right the first time around. In addition to your dental health, she is also concerned about asthetics, and can help you achieve the smile you are looking for. You can feel confident that she knows all that modern dentistry has to offer. The staff is very knowledgeable about insurance and billing and ensures you know exactly what you will need to pay in advance. I sound like an advertisement, but just a happy customer. I visited White Pearl Dentistry in order to have them check an infected tooth (#19, i.e. lower left molar). The tooth was infected two months earlier but it had been asymptomatic ever since, so I just wanted them to make sure everything was clear. During my appointment they took a radiograph, which was inconclusive at worst, and then they poked the gum tissue a few times to no effect. That's it. I tried to discuss the situation with them and explore some options, but they didn't really engage me as a person. They only heard the keywords "infection" and "abscess", and based on that and not much else (judging by their own notes, of which I got a copy) they recommended a root canal and crown. Whoa. That's thousands of dollars worth of work, over a half-dozen separate appointments, followed by a lifetime of possible complications with the crown, all for a tooth that's not actually giving me any trouble. No, I don't think so. And even if the tooth does go bad, months after the initial infection, it would be faster and safer to extract it entirely. It's a molar, one of eight (after the wisdom teeth); it's not visible, and I can live without it. Anyhow, this was my first and only visit to White Pearl Dentistry. I don't have a regular dentist of my own, and they were at the top of the search results provided by my insurance company's website. Based on this experience, I won't be going back. read more

I will preface this by saying I did not see Dr Hamouda. I was in the office while she was on vacation in another country. The dentist that I did see had horrible bedside manner and the person behind the front desk couldn't have been more aloof. I came in to get a simple teeth cleaning and a in the end never got the cleaning, had a laundry list of other things they wanted to do, they were also unclear about their office policies which changed depending on who you were talking to. I was told I would be followed up with and no one ever contacted me. When I called the office the follow up, the financial manager had no clue who I was or what my questions were. Just a really bad first impression. The only reason I'm looking for a new dentist was because they stopped participating with my insurance which this office is in network with. I would rather pay full out of pocket cash than to have to deal with this office and that particularly dentist ever again. read more

I recently changed to another dentist in the Ann Arbor area due to the terrible service I got there. Cleaning was sub par, terrible bedside manners, Dr. Hamounda was very cold and dismissive and did not do a thorough job. She did not check salivary glands and lymph nodes (as a dentist should do as part of your 6 months clinics) and she messed up on the one filling I did need and had to redo it THREE times. We entrusted our family to Dr. Hamouda and had a fantastic experience! We are a family of 4, two adults and two kids, and went to her for years. She took excellent care of all of us. The staff is friendly, careful, and excellent with our kids. One of our kids is tricky in that he just has bad teeth and is prone to cavities. He has caps. He got them with the previous dentist who we had no complains about either. It was just that we had to switch because of an insurance change. I remember it was nerve wracking to switch, but then I felt like we landed another excellent dentist with Dr. Hamouda. I felt like she was really on top of giving him good, careful care. Such a terrible service... I've made my appointment a month ahead of time. A week prior to my appointment, the receptionist called to "confirm" and to see if I can come in some other time so the doctor can have longer time frame to see it. So I agreed to changed the appointment from Wednesday to the following Monday. Then that same afternoon, the receptionist called back and said "I am sorry but the doctor is actually going to be out of the office that Monday. I can reschedule you two Mondays from now." WTF!!! I not only have to wait for a month to see this dentist now 2??? Forget it! There are plenty more awesome dentist out there that I'm sure will appreciate my business. read more
