I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.

I was in for an evaluation in 4 weeks then 1 week later for the root canal. The team at the Noblesville office were welcoming and kind. Dr. Morretton came in after staff did their x-ray of tooth #4 and explained the planned treatment and numbing needed. He numbed the area before injecting the area in front and back of the tooth, felt pressure but no pain. He the did some drilling and locating the nerve canals, then did each root canal. Advised to take Tylenol 500 mg and ibuprofen 600 mg every 6 hours as needed for pain and start before the anesthetic wore off. Took Tylenol initially as had in the car and took naproxen 440 mg when I arrived home. No pain after the 1st dose of pain meds. Pleased with the care and results received.

I needed braces and unless I went with veneers that would carve my own teeth down to nubs (!!!), there wasn't much else that could be done. She was also very frank about bleaching processes. I was disappointed to hear the bad news especially after already having had braces twice in my life. She recommended an orthodontist she trusted and that was it. So why the 5 star review? Because she was nice, frank and HONEST. She didn't try to sell me things I didn't need or that wouldn't give me the results I was looking for. Awesome.

Dr. Xu is always helpful and friendly. She has another office in Carmel alongside this downtown location, so I believe each location is only open a few days out of the week. I never have an issue getting my appointment and they seem to keep their schedule open enough to accommodate for any last minute changes. I find that they are good about taking insurance and anything not covered is cheaper than what I've heard of other dentists. For example, I had to get a night guard for my teeth which cost me $150, while these can often cost $400. I think the only thing that might make this office not ideal is that there's more open space so you can hear what goes on around you in other rooms. This doesn't bother me at all but I know some folks prefer a more quiet space.

When I arrived, I didn't get a "Hello, welcome to..." I got "Here, fill out this paperwork". Neither my dental hygienist nor Dr. Summerlin introduced themselves to me. Only the receptionist called me by my name. I prefer my doctors, nurses, dentists etc to be friendly, and I didn't feel like anyone here was particularly friendly. Not unfriendly, just not very warm. The office was in an older building, and it seemed like the place could use a few updates. The dental chair was torn. However, I don't mind those things too much. I've been to dentists with massage chairs and DVD players, so if that is what you're looking for, go somewhere else. If you want quick, professional service, come see Dr. Summerlin. I am very satisfied with the cleaning I got. My teeth feel great, I was in and out quickly, and Dr. Summerlin even joked and called me "boring" since I didn't have any cavities or concerns.
