The inn has lots of large but cozy rooms open to the guests. Just a lovely place. My only little complaint was the pillows. But pillows are a tough one to get right.

Plus, it was a bit noisy at 7am -I could hear the people on the floor above me using the bathroom and creaking floors when they walked; I could also hear them putting out breakfast in the sunroom below with the clanging of the dishes and the doors closing. If you prefer to stay at a bed-and-breakfast, then this might be a good place for you. The house was nicely furnished; my Junior suite was clean and fairly comfortable (although for some odd reason, the furniture was unusually low to the ground), and it was interesting from a historical perspective. It just really wasn't my style. One last FYI if you decide to stay there - there's no yard or street signage at any of the houses except the Nathaniel Lord Mansion - I drove around in circles looking for the Jefferds house.....

The Innkeepers made sure that we had everything we needed during our 3 night stay. All of their recommendations of places to visit, eat and shop were excellent. Breakfast each morning was delicious, substantial and thoughtfully prepared. Some of the other guests had some dietary restrictions that were met with enthusiasm and their meals looked amazing, as well. the downstairs sitting rooms were also quite comfortable and we enjoyed some time in the common spaces chatting with other guests and with the Innkeepers. Our stay was wonderful. I'd give them 10 stars if i could.

I don't normally notice these things, but the sheets and balnkets were extra soft! And the whole place was absolutely clean and homey, with coffee and tea and great wine selections at the honor bar. The breakfasts were spectacular! We had parfaits, vegan options for the vegan guests, and bacon and beautiful frittatas for us omnivours. While a part of me just wanted to stay inside and read, the inn is situated within nice walking from Kennebunk and a little more ambitius walk to Kennebunkport. It's also a lovely short drive from Ogunquit. I'd never been to Maine before and these were the spots my spouse wanted to share with me! Can't wait to go back.

They really take pride in their B&B, and it shows. The property itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are cozy have everything you could need (and a fireplace which was lovely!), and the amenities throughout were ample. There is coffee and tea in the main dining room for any time you might need it in addition to water and a few snacks they had as well. There is an outdoor seating area with a fire pit to relax at and some nice common seating areas as well indoors. The breakfast is really the shining star of this B&B, bravo Carl! Each morning we were treated to a three course breakfast in the dining room served by Eileen with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First a pastry, followed by fruit, followed by a main dish - each morning was truly spectacular! They also have a small outdoor dining area with heaters during the nicer months. Last but not least, the location of the inn was perfect! It was a quick walk into town, and only a stones throw away from the free public parking lot. Overall, 1802 House is your place to stay when in KPT! Beautiful inn, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, and a perfect location! Truly a gem!

It is NOT a modern Hotel style room. If that is what you are looking for, check into a chain hotel. These rooms furnishings were in keeping with the style and period look of Cape Arundel Inn. They were clean and comfortable. The Club house was a very short drive or walk from the Main Inn. Our rooms were behind the clubhouse. It was lovely, peaceful and quiet set amongst the woods, in a residential neighborhood. We had full access to the Inn and Dining (spectacular views from the dining room). They offered wine and cheese every afternoon. You could relax on the porch, by the pool, pool table or by the fireplace. They did have Portable A/C units in everyroom and during the high heat of summer, maybe a problem as they are a bit noisy. We visited Mid-October and the weather was perfect. No a/c required. The staff was very freindly, helpful and accomodating. My only negative is that I would have felt a little safer if the front doors to clubhouse were locked to only guests and staff, since there is no-one on duty at night. We had a lovely stay! I would highly recommend Cape Arundel Inn to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet and relaxing stay.

There are lots of things we appreciate: clean, fresh-smelling rooms, good AC, good blackout curtains, and good water pressure in the shower. But there's more: a very friendly front desk staff who prepare chocolate chip cookies every afternoon, a free hot breakfast, pleasant-enough pool (heated just barely by our standards) and a good fitness room. There are a few things that didn't quite match up for us: the hot breakfast is a bit hit-or-miss depending on your preferences; there are very few places to eat close by; and a trip to Kennebunkport can take 15 minutes with moderate traffic. Bottom line: we like Hampton Inns, and this seems a good one, the positives definitely outweighing the negatives, and it's fairly priced for this area during the summer months.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality here and the amazing service and cheerfulness of the staff. Here is the summary of our 2 day stay at the Hampton Inn. My only regret is that I should have taken more pictures 1) Ambiance 5/5: The place is well maintained with a gym and pool and great rooms. The decor is great and the place looks immaculate. Its also close to some amazing beaches. 2) Service 6/5: I have been to many places in the USA and many other Hamptons as well but this has by far been my best experience mainly due to the amazing staff. Everyone is amazing but 2 people stand out - 'Sag' as she is popularly called - has been the most amazing and happiest person in the hotel that I have ever met. Watch out early morning at breakfast and catch her amazing singing. Along with her, the gentleman who works at the front desk at Night - whose name I am missing, was an amazing help! 3) Food 5/5: The place has one of the most amazing breakfast spreads. Along with this, they even had unlimited cookies available at night for anyone with a late-night sweet craving. There are many things for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians equally. Keep an eye for freshly made scones and pastries at around 8 AM - 8.30 AM 4) Value for Money 5/5: Some people might say this place is costly but for the breakfast buffet, helpful and delightful staff and unlimited cookies, this is a steal :) 5) Amenities: a) Great gym and pool d) Free parking e) Great rooms f) Delightful staff PS: My actual rating is 6/5 for an unforgettable experience. Definitely a must-stay place at an amazing location. Must Visit for: 1) Amazing staff and their singing 2) Great breakfast spread 3) Freshly baked scones and pastries 4) Unlimited cookies at night
