Cute home style feel Restaurant and Bar, the waitress was so nice and when she knew it was our first time she gave us a rundown and her favorite recommendations!!! I ended up getting the Sweet and Sour chicken and it was amazing 10/10 and will get it again. My husband got the fish sandwich and holy moly it was so good, crispy, fresh, YUM. great service, wonderful owner/cook. we were not expecting the meal to be so good. We thought this place had been closed for years because of their old sign with never changing words on it. but we looked it up and saw its still open so we went to check it out. Only complaint we have is the restaurant had a strong unpleasant fish smell. but that was quickly overlooked by the great food. we've gone back a few times already. strongly recommend to everyone in Marion and surrounding areas. We have eaten at the White Swan several times and have been satisfied with how well the food and service was. We intend to dine there again this Friday. The menu choices are excellent with such a variety to select from. Service was so slow. Only 2 waitresses for the total restaurant. Food was not good. We were extremely disappointed.

Was looking forward to a nice quiet meal as it was early enough to beat the dinner rush. No such luck. Had a great meal, and I being the person I am tried to share my experience with the owner... my mistake. One of the servers, who did a great job by the way, asked if there were any problems. I said, everything was fine. A short time later, the owner sits near me and asks how everything was. Great, I said. Then I asked him a question. His reply was condescending and rude, bordering on hostile. I asked why he would talk to a customer in this manner and was berated more before he stormed off. The staff that were in earshot were as baffled as I was, and I'm sure other customers were as well. Sadly, after talking with others, several have had similar experiences here so mine wasn't an isolated incident. This man and his business will never see another dollar of mine. read more

Ok, awesome round eyes comfort food!! Service was beyond compare. We had an egg roll (crispy, a little deep-fried oily, but very nice.). My wife and I both ordered the combination stir fry, spicy. Nice. But not Chinese level nice , but very good. We asked for spicy and there was nice heat. Nicely sweet and garlicky. Listen, if you're in the area, hungry? You will not be disappointed. This place is great given the location, but don't expect anything unusual or fancy. The food is flavorful, hot and served quickly. The staff is friendly, and the cook is Korean. Nice selection of American bar and standard Chinese fare. The egg rolls are long, hold their shape well, and are very tasty. The French fries are good, without being overly greasy. The restaurant decor is pretty plain, but has the charm of an old, rural house-turned-restaurant and is clean, albeit a bit chilly in parts. Worth the stop if you're already in the area! read more

I live somewhat local. This is my go-to place for Asian food. Sweet and Sour Chicken is really good, as are the egg rolls. Large portions are the norm. Chicken fried rice is enjoyable. Anything Asian is really good, the cook is Korean. They have an extensive Asian menu, but American/bar food is also available. Their Italian sub is better than those in my local pizza joints and the wings didn't disappoint. Fridays and Saturdays are prime rib and seafood, although I have not tried those yet. The servers are kind and attentive, beer is cold, decor is dated and restaurant is clean. read more

I love the Asian food here. It's not typical of what you would normally get anywhere else. The menu offers a wide variety of food. Everything from Asian food, sandwiches, steaks, and seafood. I think everyone will find something they like. The only complaint I have is it is a bit pricey. I went recently after not eating there for a while and was surprised by how much the menu prices were marked up. The building is divided into a bar area in the front and a dining room in the back. There is plenty of parking but service can be very slow especially if they are busy. You might wait a while for your food. read more

Enjoyed the local restaurant. Friendly staff flavorful food. We had the specials $10.99 a couple pieces of hand breaded fish with two sides & $19.99 for a 9oz steak, shrimp and two sides. For three of us it was plenty of food. We will be back again. read more

The White Swan is a confusing mixture of Asian and American food that all tasted like it came from a box. The only thing worth ordering is the all-you-can-eat fried walleye. Stay away. read more
