Best deal you'll ever get on firewood. If the sites were a bit more level, I'd opt for a 6-star review. Park new in 2016.. Perhaps the best kept secret in Michigan RV parks. Garbin 890 could not find it but Apple Maps did with no trouble. Satellite view on Google Maps is way out dated so don't go by that. Backed into a 72 foot site and didn't have to unhook the trailer. Some pull through site also available. We're here for four nights and looking forward to it.

There are no trees around the trailer spots, but the surrounding area is beautiful forest. There are fire pits and picnic tables. We needed a part and had Amazon ship it to the office, and we were able to pick it up at 9 PM. There are 4 clean showers and a nice bathroom. The only recommendation I would give is to add a chair or seat in each shower. The entire campground is very well maintained.

This is a really high rating but the park was perfect for us…read more It's new and has gravel roads, no trees, but electric and water and sewer campsites. It's spacious and most sites are pull through. There are some tent sites back in the woods and along the river, very rural and pretty out there. There is no pool, playground or fenced in pet walk. What I really liked the most was the proximity to local bicycle trails located just off the park, making it easy to ride to Marquette and even Presque island. The Northern Michigan University public golf club is just outside the park. If conditions are right you have an unobstructed view of the Aurora borealis. I've seen many prettier parks but this was just right for our needs. Even though we had some rain the gravel sites didn't get muddy, big plus when traveling with dogs. Enjoy the amazing area, hike, bike, eat and enjoy nature... this park is a great place to set up and then go do the stuff you came here to do.

As other reviewers mentioned, there is absolutely no shade anywhere on the grounds, people were literally sitting outside the bathroom building with chairs just to escape the sun. There's a small playground for kids, but not much else in terms of activities. Road noise is noticeable while tent camping, so expect a steady hum of traffic. One positive: they don't seem to care what you put on your site. We had an RV, a tent, bikes, and a car all together, and it was completely fine.

The infrastructure is crumbling, the rates keep skyrocketing, and the staff actively harasses paying guests, completely ruining what should have been a peaceful family weekend.The campground is in a severe state of disrepair. Management continuously raises prices while letting the property rot. The playground features broken equipment with sharp, exposed screws, the kids' pool is broken, and the main pool has flaking paint. The bathrooms are consistently filthy, the grounds are overgrown with tall grass, the picnic tables are rotting, and ants are completely swarming all over the campsites.The biggest issue is the toxic behavior of the manager, Linda L, and her staff. They routinely lie, invent fake rules, and use outright intimidation tactics against guests. Linda previously altered our month-long reservation to strip away our discount, lied about email records, and gave away our site. She also stalks campsites by doing slow drive-by stares in her golf cart.Our final straw occurred during Father's Day weekend, and the way the staff treated our children and my brother-in-law was absolutely unacceptable. My brother-in-law, a single dad recovering from health issues, was simply standing on the pool deck fully clothed to monitor his young daughters while they swam. A worker aggressively cornered him, demanding an extra $10 fee just to stand there and watch his kids. When we tried to clarify the situation, the employee completely lost her temper, screamed across the property that she "makes the rules," and physically charged at me. My brother-in-law was forced to pull his heartbroken, crying daughters out of the pool to leave.Immediately after, Linda L stormed in and escalated the hostility by targeting the remaining kids. She started screaming at my 4-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter to get out of the pool, shutting down the entire facility 30 minutes early just to punish our family.Linda fabricated a claim that Michigan law requires a credit card charge for pool liability--a lie later refuted when I checked consumer protection details through the State of Michigan. To get the last word, she called the Ishpeming Police to trespass us and falsely claimed I was drunk. I blew a 0.0 on the breathalyzer, and the officers were incredibly polite, but our weekend was completely ruined by their malice.The trauma from this place is real. Linda terrified my 9-year-old daughter so badly that she still panics, shakes, and tries to hide if she accidentally spots Linda out in public.The permanent snowbirds are gone, the sites are empty, and the current staff treats consumers like criminals. If you dare to question a messed-up bill, a dirty facility, or advocate for your children, you will be screamed at and thrown out. Save your family the heartbreak, protect your peace of mind, and camp anywhere else.

Our site fits the needs of our family and camper size. The amenities have been good, though at times the bathrooms may need more attention. I don't fault the staff, it's really the campers who need to be better about their bathroom habits. Pool, park and site are awesome. Kids love riding around on their bikes. Overall a good place and would recommend others. It's a great location thats hard to beat between egg harbor and fish creek.

Also, note that the rules do not allow you to burn branches, so you can't burn any of the debris yourself even if it's in your campsite. See pictures... Another thing that stood out is their rule about dogs. According to the rules (see photos), they don't want you leaving your dogs unattended if you leave the campground...even if they're secured inside your own RV.

I always change where I go camping to keep it interesting and this was my first time being genuinely disappointed with the grounds. The biggest shocker for me was a 'wagon full' of wood for $15!! Mind you it is not a big wagon at all (wish I remembered to take a picture!) and had about 10 pieces of long wood with the bark still on it. That's important to add cause it was still holding moisture = getting the fire going was a pain! l!! The price was really ridiculous for me, and they do NOT let you bring in 'outside' wood not on the grounds per avoiding other tree sicknesses. It became clear this site was more geared towards RV folks. We had a back in site with water and electricity--electricity didn't even work. Once we let them know they gave us an additional plug in piece for it which helped, but I could only wonder what would have happened had we decided to go more 'glamping' for that trip and were heavily relying on that box. Would have ruined the trip for sure. Bathrooms were...interesting. I mean they had them and they weren't sour smelling, but could have been set up to help keep it clean. For example, there is just an air hand dryer. To keep down some costs I'm sure but what that does is leave the sink area covered in water that splashed, making it feel dirty. I'm not high maintenance at all, but when its filth from so many other people, I get uneasy. The 'shop' they have there for things you may forgot or need or want, veryyyyyyy skimpy. I'm talking like supplies NOT in abundance, grouped together on a shelf with a hand drawn sign in front of each. Essentials yes, but have low expectations for good selection. Family run I GUESS, but I have been to plenty around WI that have been wayyy homey-er and still a good price. Definitely would not recommend unless none of this applies cause you have an RV
