Our two guides knew the area extremely well and took care of everything on the trip, which allowed us to focus on reeling in 18 fish total - all of which were trout. They even filleted all the fish for us on the boat before we left, which was very appreciated since I don't know the first thing about handling fish. In full disclosure I do not like eating fish at all, but the experience of being out on Flathead Lake with experienced guides that know the history of the land well was more valuable to me than the fish we caught. So even if you don't like fish, it's a great way to be on the water, to hang out with friends, and to learn a lot about the area. And to have such experienced guides taking care of the essentials made it immeasurably more enjoyable.

Paul's boat was well-equipped with plenty of fishing gear for trolling and jigging. They had plenty of snacks and water/pop for the entire tour. Everyone in our family of five caught some fish. We took home two nice-sized lake trout and filleted them for dinner - they were delicious! We did catch a whitefish, but it was too small to bring home. I dropped her off and at that time 545 recieved a call from the quide Cody He asked if we were on the way. I told him i communicated with iason and he was supposed to contact him. He stated that he never called him and said it wasn't the first time. I explained why we didnt show up and he completely understood and was sorry for our father. Later that morning I went into the shop and spoke to Jason's son and another guide they said not to worry and we wouldnt get charged. I thanked them and offered cash for Cody's time. I went out two days with Mark, both yielded amazing fishing with a scenic backdrop like no other. Turns out there was more, apparently there was a nice hatch happening, it had just started and started early. I didn't have the fly and didn't know of the hatch, but Mark did and tied some flies for our trip. The cutthroat couldn't stay off the fly! This was my sons first trip flyfishing. Mark was beyond patient and proved to be a great teacher. He caught fish after fish after fish. Such gorgeous cutthroat from beginning of the day until the end (both days). I also caught more fish than can be counted and learned so much from Mark in our two days on the water. Mark has since helped me out a lot with tips and tricks whenever I reach out. He's been great! The scenery was like the fishing -second to none. There were so many moments I had to pinch myself. I was floating through Glacier on the Flathead catching fish. Daydreaming and watching the Eagles I was fine to to just float, but no! Interrupted by another trout striking my line, time to bring it in and out the line out! Before booking, I was a little hesitant, it's not cheap to hire out a guide. However, at the end of the second day, I felt like I had actually received a great deal!
