I sent an email inquiry through the website to ask a few questions that were quite possibly stupid because, again, first-timers. Within an hour, the company owner, Rob, called me. We spent close to 30 minutes on the phone and he answered every single question, then mentioned he had the perfect guide for us. THEN, he even rearranged some things to accommodate our travel schedule. One of my primary concerns was that we choose a company appropriate for newbies. I've heard from friends they got a guide who had no interest in "teaching," and I really wanted this to be good on both sides. I needn't have worried, because we couldn't have been better matched! Caleb was ultra professional, extremely patient, and a ton of fun (important when you're spending the day on the water together!). We each caught at least one fish plus had tons of bites, so it was definitely a success. If our schedule had allowed an extra day, we would have booked a second trip! Rob followed up with me again shortly after he knew we were off the water, which impressed me even more. You just do not get that level of personalized service with one of the big companies. Had all the equipment we needed to stay warm on a chilly day with scattered showers. Taught us everything we needed to know to navigate the waters safely. Provided some great shopping, dining, and hiking recommendations. And all the tour guides were lowkey comedians who should consider riffing some of their jokes off at a comedy club's open mic night. From the moment we arrived to get fitted with wetsuits and splash gear, everything was exceptionally organized and professional. Kiki gave an excellent safety briefing that made everyone feel prepared and confident before we hit the river. Our guides--Kiki, James S., and Luka--were outstanding. They were skilled, personable, safety-conscious, and made the entire experience both exciting and relaxing. The rafting was a perfect mix of beautiful scenery and adrenaline, including several exciting Class III rapids and what may have been a Class IV. The overnight campsite was spectacular. Luka had everything ready when we arrived, and while we set up our tents, the guides prepared an incredible Dutch oven lasagna over the campfire. We finished the evening with s'mores and stories around the fire under the Montana sky. The next morning started with hot coffee, sausage, and amazing huckleberry French toast before another fantastic day on the river. Everything--from the equipment and logistics to the food and guiding--was first-class. We returned with incredible photos, unforgettable memories, and a deep appreciation for the professionalism and hospitality of the entire team. If you're looking for an unforgettable rafting adventure near Glacier National Park, I can't recommend Glacier Guides Montana Raft highly enough. Great Guides Who Know Their Fish!…read more We had an amazing time fly fishing with the fantastic guides at Big Fork Anglers -- Avery, Sean, Brad, and Alec. They seemed to know every ripple of the river and were masterful in providing just the right level of instruction. They knew where the fish hid and what would make them bite. They provided clear, patient instructions sprinkled with stories that may be best not to share beyond the boat. Their approach worked for me, a novice, and for the others who were far more advanced. All the guides were professional, reliable, and flexible to adapt to what our group wanted. And, perhaps most telling, we all managed to pull some really big fish out of the rivers.
