I was in an accident and chose this office because of its great reviews and reputation. I've come in for cleanings twice now, and each visit has cost me a good amount of money. I understand that my dental situation is more complex than most, but what has been frustrating is that I never seem to get time with the doctor to discuss a treatment plan or next steps. During my last visit, I was recommended sealants and whitening. I arrived, paid around $1,400 for the cleaning, sealants, and whitening, and when I sat down, Dr. Yaz simply said, "Open up." I assumed she was examining my teeth, but after a few moments she said, "Almost done." At that point I finally asked, "Wait, is this the sealants?" and she said yes. That was surprising and honestly frustrating. Why wasn't the procedure explained beforehand? I barely felt anything being done and didn't even know what treatment I was receiving in the moment, which left me wondering whether everything I paid for had actually been completed. As someone who genuinely wants and needs dental work done, communication matters. Later, I had my cleaning with a hygienist who was wonderful and very kind. After that, I was taken for Zoom whitening. They sat me down, applied gel to my teeth, and told me it was for the whitening process. Then I sat with the light in my mouth for what felt like forever. Eventually someone came back, applied more gel, and started another round. I've never had Zoom whitening before, so I had no idea what to expect. It would have made such a difference if someone had simply explained the process beforehand, for example, "We're doing four rounds and each round lasts X minutes." Instead, I spent the entire time wondering when it would be over while my mouth became increasingly uncomfortable. The final disappointment was that I have a tooth with bonding on it, and apparently the whitening gel wasn't applied to the natural portion of that tooth because it was overlooked that only part of it was bonded. As a result, the natural part of the tooth remained darker than the rest of my teeth. Again, everyone I interacted with was kind and friendly, and I don't doubt that the office is busy. My issue is the lack of communication and patient education throughout the process. When patients are spending significant amounts of money and undergoing treatments they aren't familiar with, taking a few minutes to explain what's happening can make a huge difference.

I've been through braces and fillings and root canals, etc. I literally have fallen asleep in the adult chair because I have absolutely no fear as I've already experienced the worst they could possibly happen in a dentist's office. I have never in all of my life, experienced a dental practice and a dentist that is as invested and meticulous about my teeth as I am about my health in general. I have had major health issues - very nearly died of lupus - that made me even more acutely aware that, as this amazing dentist said, the mouth is the gateway to health or illness. I have done my homework in saving my own life and literally have doing the "impossible" as a patient at Stanford in putting my autoimmune disease in remission for over three years now. Came here for a teeth whitening treatment and had a great experience!…read more They whiten your teeth with 3 rounds of treatment at 20 minutes each, I didn't feel any sensitivity during my treatment but my boyfriend did so I would suggest those with sensitive gums to take 2 Advil 30 minutes before your appointment. Both of our teeth turned out multiple shades whiter than we started and we loved our results! Overall highly suggest coming here for teeth whitening, they also do body sculpting treatments as well. The ladies were so friendly and provided great customer service. I also liked that they're open later than most offices, it was convenient to be able to come in after work at 6:30PM.
