This office is such a pleasure to come to. Everyone is so nice and welcoming and you can tell they try extra hard to make folks with anxiety feel extra comfortable. Dr T worked on a tooth that already had work done and left me feeling like I should've gone to her to begin with. Promised gift cards were never honored, cleanings haven't been the same since our hygienist left, and my husband's crown issue is still unresolved despite referrals. Honestly, the best part was how they used my name all the time--it sounds simple, but it made me feel so much more comfortable and not just like another patient in the chair. When I first came here I loved it. I thought the workers and dentists were kind! Which they are BUT I did not care for being taken advantage of with knowledge of plans. I was enticed with the promotion of Invisalign treatment costing approximately $5,200 which is ~$1-2k more than other places I later realized, but it said that it included all visits, treatments and lifetime whitening and everyone was really nice so I figured it's probably worth it. Everything during my treatment went ok, but when it came to the last visit they asked me if I was satisfied with my treatment and if I wasn't I could pay an additional fee to fine-tune it. At the time I was still paying off the Invisalign treatment I had and I couldn't afford anymore, so I declined. I came back to the office months later because I realized they left some adhesive left on my teeth that stained so I came back to shave it off and figured I'd do a whitening treatment. THEN THEY HIT ME WITH "oh to get the free whitening you have to purchase a dental cleaning with us which cost ~$500-700 depending on the package you choose.... And then sent me a form that they DID NOT give or explain to me in the beginning. This all totally would've been fine IF I HAD BEEN EXPLAINED AND GIVEN THIS FORM BEFORE I signed and purchased this plan. It's crazy because I asked them too if I could just come whenever for the teeth whitening and they were like oh yea you can do it whenever you want because it's free and didn't tell me about the ~$700 dental cleaning package I'd have to purchase when I do get it. Mind you I kept all the forms they gave me when I first signed up so I know what information they gave me and what they didn't. Then when I went back to look over the forms initially given to me I realized that my plan came with free 3 additional retainer sets to fine-tune my teeth if I wasn't satisfied with it at the end of treatment. WHICH AGAIN I would've appreciated having that explained to me because I declined before due to not having the funds for anything extra when this whole time it was already supposed to be free and included in my plan. I would've totally wanted a fine-tuning adjustment had I known. When I brought it up they hit me with the, i "had to be within 2 years of treatment" and when I brought up that my forms said 3, they told me well they already closed my case and I'd have to pay additional NOW since I didn't tell them before (when they told me I had to pay when actually it was free). It sucks because honestly I liked the location and I thought the staff was nice but I did not like feeling taken advantage of and going to ANOTHER dental office that wasn't honest. It felt like I had to think and talk like a lawyer and question everything now to double down and check every little thing and minor detail. I thought that they were nice people but it started to feel all fake and just for the money. I like honest and genuine business especially with my medical team and I did not feel that way here. read more

I broke a tooth on Sunday night and googled this place and saw it opened at 7am. Called right away and they were able to see me at 8am (i think I just got really lucky on that). When I went in it was so professional, I've been to many dentists before and never had an experience like this. The whole staff was friendly but professional like a medical facility should be. I had Dr Nguyen and he followed up on me the next day. Currently waiting for a cap to be made but I am no longer in pain and know 100% they will finish the job right. Glad I found them and will now be my permanent dentist! read more

New Review: Please see my previous review below and where the office replied to that review that they were "unable to identify your account based on this review", but then privately emailed me directly after pretending to attempt to resolve the issue. Their requirements to refund their terrible fillings involve a list of things including confronting my new dentist- which I have already tried to discuss with my new dentist and they don't feel comfortable (as mentioned multiple times to OC Healthy Smiles) outing another dentist office (respectable). So I'm here posting an update to my review that I will most likely not get a refund for the hundreds of dollars out of pocket I spent at this dentist office and that I will continue to refrain people from coming to this office. I highly recommend visiting another dentist office, don't waste your money! Old Review: Terrible front desk management and customer service. The worst I've seen from a medical office. And on top of that they massively over charge you for simple things like fillings. I ended up getting my fillings done at referred dentist office and they were no joke a fourth of the price AND had to re do all the two fillings this office previously filled because they did them wrong. Worst dentist I've ever encountered. I went here to get a cleaning because it's a requirement due to having crowns that they put in a while back. They attempted to force me to get x-rays even though I didn't want x-rays. They said I must have x-rays, and I said I don't want radiation emitted on my face today. Thanks but no thanks. Radiation is not good for humans if you get too much of it. Of note, I had a MRI done not too long ago, but this fell on deaf ears. They said in order to be seen, I need x-rays. I asked, show me where in any documentation that it is a requirement that I get x-rays for a cleaning. They showed be a document, but it did not require that I get x-rays for a cleaning. All of this was with the front-desk person. She then goes to the back office and calls Dr. Nguyen on the phone (he wasn't yet in the office). She comes back out and says either you get the x-rays or you have to leave. I say I'm going to leave a bad review because this is just unacceptable. She goes in the back to call the Dr. again, and she comes back out and says that our professional relationship has been terminated and that I need to leave. I said, well, if you're terminating the relationship for no valid reason, you're bound by the contract to provide a warranty on the crowns, which, again, was the only reason I was there: to keep up with my cleanings to keep the warranty on the crown active. Again, they provide no valid response. All of these people have no social skills, and their only response to this was to threaten to call the police. Instead of just rationally answering a patient's questions and addressing his concerns like adults, they just couldn't articulate one proper, valid response as to why I must get x-rays just for a cleaning. And for the doctor to not want to discuss this with me face-to-face, it's just cowardice. It's clearly a money-grab. They can charge my insurance because my insurance would pay for the x-rays as part of standard coverage. This is ethically wrong, though, and it's just greed. Even though my insurance would pay for it, it's the principle of the matter. I don't want x-rays for health and safety reasons, and they have no right to force me into doing so. read more

After 20 some odd years of visiting the same dentist, whom retired this summer, OC Healthy Smiles was the business that the patient records were transferred to. Everyone at OC Health Smiles was great. Very well ran operation, friendly and experienced staff all around. The initial appointment was eye opening for sure, on how much dentistry has advanced and every interaction with the staff was very pleasant. From filling out the electronic paperwork before the initial visit, to the wait time, the ease of checking in and out, the expertise of the dental assistant, the dentist, and the hygienist, the layout and cleanliness of every nook and cranny in the office, the visit was extremely welcoming and bar-none excellent. 5 stars all the way read more

They offer coping tools to help your experience be as COMFORTABLE as possible. Ask for Brianna! Brianna is the person who attended me during my first visit and let me tell you she is AMAZING. She is supportive, welcoming, and attentive. I absolutely love that she made me feel safe by offering me some coping tools (i.e., noise counseling head sets, aromatherapy, blanket, etc). I found myself experiencing a tooth ache on a Sunday and unfortunately my usual Dentist office is closed on both Sundays and Mondays. So I started looking for a dentist who was open on Mondays and had positive reviews, which is what led me to visiting OC Healthy Smiles. Upon arrival I met with various members of the team including the dentist who were all very professional, welcoming, and created a positive customer experience. This review however is specifically for Thais, the dental hygienist who walked me through the majority of my first and subsequent visits. She has been extremely welcoming, positive, and kind throughout all of my follow up procedures (I ended up switching to this office). I think above all, I've appreciated her willingness to take the time to explain steps along the way while answering all of my questions with a positive upbeat attitude that is hard to find. read more

I should've known something was wrong when I stepped into the office. It was almost too perfect. The latest in technology, a neck pillow, comfy blanket, complimentary chapstick, headphones, etc to make your visit as painless as possible. I had made my appointment with Dr. Yao but after my cleaning, the dentist that treated me was Dr. Nguyen. It bothered me that there was a last minute substitution. He had asked what I disliked most about going to a dentist. My answer was "dentists that upsell treatments that are unnecessary". He proceeded to tell me that their office does not believe in those practices. Then indicated to me that I had several issues with my teeth. He said I needed 2 new crowns due to decay or wear and tear, that I had a gum infection and needed to come in every 3 months for a deep cleaning, and that my bottom teeth had wear and tear so I needed Invisalign (even though I have had braces before). In total it was a treatment plan close to $8,000. I had seen my dentist in my former state just 6 months prior and none of these issues were noted so something didn't seem right. I got a copy of my X-rays and sent them to my close friend who is a dentist and he disagreed with the treatment plan and indicated none were necessary. I got a third opinion locally and they also indicated no treatment was necessary. Then went to a gum specialist who confirmed I did not have an infection and didn't need deep cleaning every 3 months or antibiotics. I recommend that you get a second opinion before you start any treatment plans with this dentist so that you don't end up paying for unnecessary services. read more

CSAT is the core metric in any well run customer focused business and I give them the full 5 stars. Everything from the comfort menu with items like headphones, advil, blankets and water to asking how you are during procedures. I have a background customer service and quality assurance management and these guys know their stuff. On top of that they offer free dental care to veterans.
