Waiting in your car, temperature and blood oxygen check, the dentists and hygenist wearing PPE, a high evacuation suction devises when aerosol droplets would be released. My teeth were scrapped clean rather than using the ultrasonic tool. I felt as secure on that point as I could. Regarding Dr. Benish, he is a highly skilled dentist who has a lovely, efficient and caring staff. He spent a great deal of time explaining what he going to do, and what will happen. He didn't rush when it took quite a long time to get my crown to fit. He is truly I caring and interested in his patients. I recommend him and his office highly.

I was bucking in pain and telling them that I could feel everything. They gaslit me for hours, telling me I had already had plenty of anesthesia and that I simply did not understand the difference between "pain and pressure." They even asked me if I'd like to pay $155 for Nitrous Oxide to soothe my anxiety. I told them clearly that I didn't have anxiety, I had pain. They told me several times that I could leave. Leave! With a partially removed cracked tooth and double the pain I started with. The lack of concern for my wellbeing and pain was unbelievable. Finally, in the last 30 minutes they made one last attempt to give me anesthesia in the correct location. Instantly, I was still and it was the first time during the entire appointment that I did not have pain. It was evident to the dentist the difference in my presentation and clear that had they listened they could have avoided hurting me and dehumanizing me. I complained to the office manager about my experience, but she only defended the dentists.

Their web site lets new patients schedule appointments but has no such option online for existing patients. When you call the Union, NJ office, you can't even leave a voicemail because no one ever seems to answer the phone. The system literally gives you the automated 1, 2, 3, etc. choices to be connected to the right person. HOWEVER, it tells you you're being connected and then thanks you for calling Aspen Dental ... immediately proceeding to hang up on you EVERY TIME! I have an extraction scheduled for early august and received a text to confirm the appointment. Of course, the link provided did not work. Why was I even surprised? Therefore, I attempted to call the office directly, but well you can already guess what happened from the last paragraph. There is no system in place on the website to chat or send a message to the office, which most sites these days do offer for even the smallest businesses. Trying to respond to the confirmation email obviously did not work either. You just cannot get in touch with these people unless you drive to the office. Ridiculous! Not sure why I did not just go with a local dentist to save the gas and tolls to get to this location.

You get 3-5 min max face time and that's only if you ask questions otherwise it's in and out like the wind. I finally questioned his ability to see anything wrong in such short time and went to another dentist. Was told there was an obvious cavity that has been there a long time, as it was notable on Smilow's last X-ray. Something to note is that in over 5 years he never used the x Ray that most dentist use, draw your own conclusions. My mother also went to him and had to change dentists for similar reasons. She now has a whole host of issues to deal with that hadn't been addressed while there.

I LOVED that I was given sunglasses to shield my eyes from the light! And I loved that the dentist does his own cleanings. And I like that he hums softly while he does his work.
