They did a test for water and sure enough there was water. They cuts 2 holes in the soffit and checked for mold and lucky for me there were none. However, Service Master didn't want to chance it so thy treated it with a mold resistant just to make sure. That's what I call going above and beyond. They came everyday to take readings and on the 3rd day it was dry. Then they spackle and sanded two days in a row. Once they finally arrived, I was not provided with a written estimate, only a verbal one. After which, I was charged double the amount they stated. The service itself was terrible and after everything, they left a mess, which they refused to clean up, even after I called to complain. I am in the process of hiring someone else to clean up their mess. According to my contractor, they did not even complete the job they came to do. They should have cut the walls higher up and after they left, the walls were still soaking wet! When I called them back, they came and told me there was nothing else they could do. They quickly assessed the situation, ensured all water was turned off to prevent further leakage and efficiently mopped up the water using highly effective shop vacs. They removed all wet carpet and padding, relocated furniture and personal belongs that were not wet and took out all wet items. They left six commercial grade fans and two dehumidifiers for three days to ensure everything was thoroughly dry.
