I did not leave a review until after a year because that is when I first noticed that he did not finish the floor under the vanity leaving chunks of cement. You said you can do the repair without moving the vanity. You lied. you could not do it and did not do it. I never said not to do it and you know very well the tenant responsible for the damage was footing the bill. your work is shoddy and the photos (please see the horrible work done here) show it. your quote "You directly told us you did not want to move the vanity so we did the best we could under those terms". This is a blatant lie, you said the vanity did not need to be moved to do the job. "you also gave us the saddle to install we didn't purchase it and install it" It is definitely not the right saddle but instead of doing quality work you threw it down to be done with the job. I had to pay to have it replaced with a professional contractor. Update: Of course he lied again. He responded," You wanted me just to give your contractor my products or product information just to save money." Hidalgo was the one who offered to give me the names of those products--I never asked for them. I just took him up on his offer after I was left in the lurch (he bailed because the job was going to be only a few thousand dollars, not over $10,000, as he had wanted). Even in our last phone call he had said he would "take photos" of the products and send them to me. This man is a big talker and a serial liar. I'm glad I dodged a bullet by not working with him. Not an honest owner. I had Jaime Hidalgo come to my place to do an estimate for smoke damage amelioration. He said he could do the job in a few days (I was on a tight schedule and stressed). When I met him, he emphasized that "I'm not about the money. I care about helping people." But then, oddly, he produced an estimate that was about five times higher than other estimates I'd gotten. It included putting a special primer all over the apartment. Since I already had a general contractor to do the priming and painting, I told him that I wanted him only to do the cleaning. I called him the next morning to contract the work. He agreed but said he would call me back. He also said he would be happy to give my contractor the name of his cleaning solution and primer in case he wanted to do the cleaning, too. I told him that was very generous of him and that I still wanted him do the cleaning (but it would be great if we could get the name of the primer). Again, he said, "I told you it's not about the money for me. I just care about helping people" (red flag!). When he didn't call me back at the appointed time, I tried him again, figuring he was busy. This cat-and-mouse game went on all day. He kept saying he would call me back "in an hour" but would disappear. Finally, he said he would call me once he got home. I did not get a call back but, instead, an email saying that he did not have the time to do my job. I called him and asked him what had happened. He said he had agreed to do other jobs--even though I had told him since the morning I wanted him to do the cleaning and he had strung me along all day, never once saying he would not be available anymore. I was shocked and upset. Then he offered to call another cleaner for me to see if he was available, and he said he would still get me the names of the cleanser and primer. But, of course, he never did either. Just more lies. I left another message and another email. He had disappeared. Do not trust this person. (I'm sure he'll attack me, as he has others who have left negative reviews, and try to rewrite history. I should have taken the negative reviews seriously.) read more

We got as far as him being right on top of things, sending somebody to my apartment for mold inspection, and, the assessment was to pull out my entire kitchen cabinet below the sink, and then that I would then have to replace every single cabinet in my kitchen to match the one cabinet that was affected. Really? I wasn't planning on remodeling my kitchen! Jaime never showed up at my place, we played text,/flirting for several weeks, emojis and all, once he texted "onw"... And I was like what the hell does that mean?... Then it came to me... "On my way?". he said he was coming, then never showed up, this went on like for weeks he was ghosting me !!! Finally, I just said to him in a text mind you this after he said he would come multiple times, and then never showe up, "do you do this with all your prospective clients", and then he sent texts with all sorts of emojis folded hands, I'm so sorry. We feel so lucky to have found Jamie! We bought a new condo and had the bad luck to have our washing machine installed improperly which led to water damage in our bathroom and hardwood floors. A permanent nightmare. I got Strictly Cleaning Restoration to install a new hard wood floor in the whole apartment, plus the kitchen with Natural Stone Tile Basalt also a new closet with mirrored sliding doors, and three old closets distribution. The sliding door for the closet doesn't slide no matter how much lubricant, wax, sliding oils, etc., I had to fix the sliding doors tracks, the distribution of the closets a non functional lousy job, three barn doors that more or less are OK but the real "permanent nightmare" is the irritating squeaky new hardwood floor, uneven in some parts and as time goes by the noise is becoming worst. The only solution, according an old friend, an architect, is to change the whole floor area removing the one installed by Strictly Cleaning Restoration and putting a new one in order do the job properly. Mr. Hidalgo did the job on Spring 2018. I spent $20,000 plus for the job labor, $15,000 at The Home Depot in materials and almost $8,000 at the Hotel while the job at the apartment was going on. I got tapes where while walking the disgusting noise of floor can be heard. I was expecting that, maybe, with time the squeaky noise would fade away but no way. Now I contacted several well-known flooring companies to do the job properly. According to the technicians of these Companies, the job done by Strictly was a very bad one. I also want to point the man from Strictly Cleaning Restoration in charge of doing the job was always asking for tequila. The biggest mistake we did was paying the whole invoice without checking the finishing results, since we trusted Mr. Hidalgo not 100% but 1,000%. Now we must move to a hotel again $$$, new floor$$$$, new installation $$$$. At least all the new Companies I have contacted, offer a long warranty for the job to do. I utterly trusted Mr. Hidalgo because he did a great job when four years ago I had quite a big mold problem. I didn't discuss anything about all those explanations you are giving. I call you to do this renewal you told me the price and Mr. Tequila started to do the job, I paid you the total amount of the "job". I had no idea on how to put a wooden floor and I did not know the procedure. What I know is that anyone spending over $50,000.00 would save some bucks in avoiding cleaning the subfloor? Non sense!. By the way, the Company in charge of doing the floor has found no moister at all. Also, the problem with the squeaky noise, around the whole area is due to the bad way your people did the job. This is what the man in charge now has told me prior to installing any finished flooring, it is important to remember: Re-secure any loose wood subfloor planks, Oriented strand board, or plywood subfloors to the floor joists using 2-1/2" deck screws. Loose or damaged subfloors can cause squeaking and affect the performance of the finished flooring that is installed over it. Concrete slabs should be flat, use a leveling compound to fill any depression or voids. Nothing at this regard was done, nor recommended. You never told me about this. One of your men suggested me that the job wasn't properly done, but since they were fighting among them most of the time, I thought it was kind jealousy. Don't put the excuse of my cheap budget, I have never been cheap, and I always pay good and well with no questions but from now on I'll get well informed when requesting a renewal job and always with a Strictly Reliable Company with good "warranties". Now the only problem is that is that what your men did has to be done all over again. I still remember when the Coop building offered me their guys to do the job and I choose Strictly Clean Restoration because the job you did before when I bought the unit. I have seen the hardwood flooring the Coop men have done in front of my apartment with perfect finishing, I really regret refusing them at the time. What can I say about these guys? Honestly, if I call them 'wizards' it's actually faint praise-a 'wizard' uses magic and such, but the guys at Strictly Cleaning did amazing work while keeping the curtain drawn back throughout. They came out (on a weekend!) Gave us a reasonable estimate, dealt with all our building's wonky rules, sent us pictures and updates daily, and whenever I had a question, they were always *always* there to answer, and if I wanted to just stop by and see how things were going, they let me right in....All issues I've had with other contractors in the past. Oh and the work? Excellent, and honestly *I* am not saying that-During the process I had a number of folks who know what they're doing stop by, poke around and say 'oh yeah, they're totally getting this right'. He came by to take a look after we had repaired the roof and removed a lot of the rotten wood. I had a long-standing leak above my kitchen, leading to extensive mold on the ceiling. I had a mold expert to test various areas of the apartment. Based on the lab reports, I searched for company that could remove the kitchen ceiling, remediate the area above, and replace as much of the ceiling necessary to take affected areas out. He was extremely responsive, scheduled a time to come over to observe visually, and advised what should be done, what he would do, how long it would take, and how much it would cost.
