Went with a group of people from work for a fun team building adventure. We had a beautiful sunny 80 degree day. Perfect day to be on the water. They start of with training and what to expect on the water. We had a great guide that was knowledge and fun! The tour itself is 4 hr on the river, paddling over and threw about a dozen rapids. Loved the one major drop, your adrenalin is pumping for sure. Great views of waterfalls, canyons and boulders. The staff are set up at different points on the river to take photos and back at the campground you have the option to purchase them. long the river you stop for a Snack: Cookies and lemonade. Everyone receives a free barbecue dinner back at the Black River Bay Campground. Barbecue: Grilled boneless breast of chicken, baked potato, garden salad, rolls and beverage. Vegetarian meals can be arranged with prior notice. The day was early and the water was glistening when I stepped foot upon a "White Water Challenger" vessel.

For a 2 hour event our 3 kids went down the hill 7 times. It wasn't having busy. We've been at busier times. First the check in process was held up. The ticket printer broke and the staff didn't know how to fix it. The manager called for tech support and the other staff waited. The POS was still working, why couldn't they just write down the pass instead of making everyone wait in line for 20+ minutes while the manager spoke with tech support? A parent at the front of the line asked if the kids can just go out and get started and they were told no. The hill waiting for everyone to exit is the hold up on the process. Before the next launch everyone has to exit a t the bottom. It takes forever. We timed it, approx 14.58 minutes once hooked to the exit point. A little longer once there was a bottle neck after their pos was back up and running. We compared to amusement park and water slides and Greystone is left as inefficient. For the price of tickets, it's better to save your money for Seabreeze or Bristol Mountain. The Waffle House was just as inefficient in customer experience. We asked for 3 hot coca and waffle bundle. Staff apologized that more waffles had to be made but would be right out. It was one employee. Staff then helped the queue before putting the waffles in the toaster oven. For 3 waffles it took another 20 minutes and they ended up having 12 waffles to make after. Why is there one staff member scheduled to check people out and make the coffee, cocoa, waffles etc? It's something I expect at Disney, not a low populated snow tubing location.

So much fun! We went as a family of all ages and enjoyed ourselves. (If we get to come back we would book a river site because they looked so relaxing.) they had a permanent food truck that had really good chicken fingers. They also had an ice cream stand. Cute little themed cabins throughout. There were lots of activities in the campground. Across the street was the "diamond" mine (quartz) and that was really fun. Definitely recommend.

Typically I would have visited in person prior to booking however this campground was nearly 4 hours away, so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. This place has been on my bucket list for nearly two decades and I was so excited for the mines. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave to discover the shady site was actually not shaded by anything. Disappointed and concerned that in the peak of the day our dogs wouldn't be cool enough in the camper, we asked for a site change but on a holiday weekend there wasn't any other option. I was happy that the two ac units kept it cool and the breaker didn't pop. The main campground is adorable with its store next to the pool and music in the garden in the evenings. The garden grille was a tasty surprise. The food was actually quite delicious for a pork bbq and fries. We enjoyed the creek and pool in the hottest part of the days and walked the dogs all over the campground in the early morning and evenings. The dog park was bizarrely small for normal sized breeds and out Bernese Mountain dogs weren't digging the confinement. While at the KOA we spent some time in the mines finding lovely little treasures. Overall I would choose to return for another adventure if I could book on of the creekside spots.
