A great little dive bar.. great people, good drinks, ok food Just don't go with too high expectations

Stay away!! Having rented a pontoon with these people in July 2025, I can tell you they are not honest. We rented a pontoon which was making unusual sounds as soon as we left the dockand Immediately returned it. They asked if we hit anything which we did not - this was verified by an employee who raised and checked the motor and agreed. We were given another pontoon which was tucked in the back and not brought out because they were "too busy." We backed it out and at the very end, with the employee's guidance, slighted bumped another pontoon (no more than bumping a dock.) Upon final return, we were told our deposit would not be returned because we hit something (obviously inaccurate) on the first day and "hit" another boat when taking out the second boat. I'm sure this isn't the first time that they've done this and it won't be the last. Don't deal with these clowns and you'll be better off. On a side note, their gas was higher than all the other marinas that we visited. read more

We had an incredible experience when stopping in to gas up our boat and grab a quick drink or two. They have a fun, party style atmosphere at the dock bar. When docking, we had plenty of help getting our boat set for fueling and found ourselves helping another guy with a rather large tritoon. Everyone was very friendly and let me just say, this place is simple. If you're looking for a "no frills" experience, this is it. A couple of things: 1- The bartender was super friendly. He whipped up 3 very tasty Pina coladas and at $10/each, a good price too. He also filled our water bottles with fresh ice and water. 2 - My son ordered the wings and they were really, really good. read more

So we booked a boat for the day at Whitman Hollow but it just so happened Microsoft shut down half the airlines that week, we were to fly in and go for a nice boat ride a few days later - since we had to cancel the reservation due to the airline debacle, We called Whitman and they told us NO REFUND / NO EXCUSES that they would keep the security deposit. They are a business so I understand cancelations. but why make their customers suffer from an uncontrollable issue? They were very short on the phone with us offering no other type of refund or later date options. They were very short-sided and rather rude as they made their demands known. Seems like I'll have to cool off at another marina! ONS STAR IS TOO HIGH...! read more

When I landed in Knoxville I heard about were the wings at Whitman Hollow. I knew I had to get my mits on them. I made the trek by water, and ordered like 75 wings. We had three sauces, buffalo, peri peri, and froggies sauce (which was like a hybrid sauce). They definitely lived up to the hype BUT the real star of the show was their side salad. I've been in some of the BEST restaurants in the world, and this side salad will knock your aqua socks right off. They also have a robot bar tender. Man we really are living in the future. Fun atmosphere with good space and typically decent service... especially given the difficulty getting and retaining help. Pizza is very good. The wings used to be the best on the lake but that ship has sailed. They now might be the worst, especially if you get the grilled. Seems like they changed vendors and now they are fatty and often have broken bones. We have ordered several times and specifically extra crispy and they still suck.... So sad. Kudos for staying open in the off-season. Will do our best to support. read more

The boat rental and the service was great. The live bait was good but the food was not that good. I wouldn't dine there again.

Don't get me started on the piss poor dining services provided, if your hungry pack your own food before even considering eating here. Not to mention doing any boat or cabin rentals from these thieves. This marina CHEATED ME and my family out of a full day of a rental StarCraft deck boat gave me a boat with a dead battery. Also replaced the rental with another WITH ANOTHER DEAD BATTERY from the marina that was sent to rescue us how does this happen? When I finally got back to the marina, the Manger was unprofessional and tried saying the prop was messed up some how weird because the boat couldn't even drive so I don't know. To top it off they didn't compensate me for the first rental or my time wasted. The manger acted as if she couldn't be bothered to help me or anyone else for that matter, this is place is full of younger kids working there didn't seem like there were many adults around on staff. Overall I will never do business with Whitman hollow again. This was the worst marina experience I have had on Norris lake in over 20 years of boating. This staff and management are possibly crooks. Seems to me they have a habit of charging people extra for things that they did not do or was completely out of the customers control or management claims to have happened. They obviously make up their own rules as they go along. Their maintenance and mechanic on staff is a liar, be VERY CAUTIOUS of renting or doing any business with this shady place. CHECK THE BOAT BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE MARINA!!!!!! They are very dishonest. Overall this place is a waste of space. Update this business has now charged me 3 separate times for a boat rental. I have called my bank and submitted fraud. THIS BUSINESS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! read more

Went there looking for bait and tackle. And don't get me wrong they have some items. But stating that they have a bait and tackle shop is a stretch. No lures, one type of line etc... Free advice: Step up your fishing supplies game and make more money. You are ON a great fishing lake and still missing the boat... (pun intended) read more

The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly and the food was incredible. I mean it was bar food on the water but it was outstanding. Burgers were juicy, hot dog was plump and tasty, wrap was . No one went away hungry for sure. Oh, and the fresh cut fries...delicious! read more

Friendly staff. A good place to stop in and grab some fuel and perhaps a drink at the bar (if you are in the area) but I must say the food unfortunately was pretty terrible. There is certainly not much effort put into the quality of food that is brought to the table. read more

Do not order the fish tacos, they were cold and not sure if they were fish. The menu states the fish were beer battered but more like mystery frozen breaded fish tacos? The chicken tacos were also cold. Very pricey for terrible terrible food. Do not waste your money here. read more

This marina is nestled away in the mountains along the prettiest of coves! My wife and I visited over the weekend and we were very thrilled with the experience! Their food was incredible, and rivals Calhoun's (another marina-type restaurant around the Knoxville area)! Their wings were very large, affordably priced, and cooked on an outdoor grill. Their way of cooking set the bar for the typical way of restaurant cooking. The band on their dock and patio played a wonderful performance and set the vibe for a small town, everyone knows everyone, type of friendly atmosphere. My wife and I highly recommend this fine marina! read more

We went to the marina restaurant for supper. The only people there were some staff and a couple of drunks, which should have told us something. The place was dirty. The food not only tasted awful, but it looked awful. My son ordered a cheeseburger. It came raw on the inside and with red blood all over the bun. I got nachos and it came with stale chips and some kind of sauce on it that looked like vomit from an expired can of cheese sauce. The bridge walkway to get to the restaurant is completely unsafe and unstable. We will never visit this place again! The entire marina property is completely unkept. read more

Wouldn't give this place a star, but I had to. Most incompetent business ever. Two years in a row, have tried booking from this business and have reserved a boat and been called back after the fact and told the boat we rent is no longer available. This after a whole wknd has been planned around a boat that is no longer available. Will never rent from here again and would go anywhere else but to give them business. read more

Do not waste your vacation money on renting from this Marina. Worst experience ever!
