I had been told about this site when passing through the area because of their water views and fair pricing. I was fortunate that the phone number on the site at least worked so I could find them. If you follow GPS, I wish you luck, if yours does what mine did it took me in circles and then kept saying rerouting. I opted to call the campground and their directions were so much more simplistic. With all that being said, once I arrived the tent camping here was nice. My site was level and on one of the many roads of camping. I was no where near the water, but that was ok because my site seemed to be far enough away from louder traffic which was going in and out of the marina area so that made my stay a bit more pleasant. I decided to talk a walk around camp and it seemed like there had been some upgrades around the campsite, still other areas looked like they still needed a bit of work. Specifically in the way of the long term campers area which looked a bit junky in some areas. I noticed that some of the RV paths had long hoses reaching across to access water, I am not sure if that was because their water wasn't working or if there were not enough spigots available. It looked like there were many using piggy backs. The playground looked fairly new, the restaurant which floats on the water smelled delicious from a distance and the restrooms were very clean. The staff was so friendly on my stay, someone drove past on a golf cart to welcome me when I had settled in and we had a great chat to which they told me there is a continued effort to make improvements to better accommodate campers including a project to potentially widen the roads on the RV loops. This place has some great potential but isn't quite there yet. I am interested in keeping up with this place to see how it changes over time. TIPS: * When you are in this area you are near 2 state parks which have a lot of hiking and water options as well. Both of these can be traveled to via boat from the marina. * In Rocky Top there is a very interesting historical exhibit to visit about the miners and the war which took place with these miners.

We rented a pontoon which was making unusual sounds as soon as we left the dockand Immediately returned it. They asked if we hit anything which we did not - this was verified by an employee who raised and checked the motor and agreed. We were given another pontoon which was tucked in the back and not brought out because they were "too busy." We backed it out and at the very end, with the employee's guidance, slighted bumped another pontoon (no more than bumping a dock.) Upon final return, we were told our deposit would not be returned because we hit something (obviously inaccurate) on the first day and "hit" another boat when taking out the second boat. I'm sure this isn't the first time that they've done this and it won't be the last. Don't deal with these clowns and you'll be better off. On a side note, their gas was higher than all the other marinas that we visited.

My husband even commented how they smile at everyone as soon as they enter. The hot food items are cooked from frozen, as there is no kitchen, but that's not a deal breaker. I ordered a hamburger and hubby ordered a chili dog. Sides were fried pickles and fries. You can enjoy the meal in the comfort of the air conditioned indoors or on the beautifully decorated outside deck under the shade of tables with umbrellas. All in all it was a satisfying hot meal compared to two days of bologna sandwiches and summer sausage. Located less than 20 minutes off Exit 25 in Corbin from I-75, it's an 11 mile trip to the marina and boat ramp.

Upon gassing up for return, they pulled it around to the slip saving us the trouble. Refueling: they have long enough pumps to refill in any orientation against the dock. Staff were quick to provide pump service. Car parking lot: some concrete, some gravel, minimal shade, short walk across a concrete dock to the marina Facilities: bathrooms are tight, but I'm guessing that's so they could fit in two stalls instead of just one. Main door + curtains on stalls. No baby changer (no space). Lunch: We ate around 12:30, after breakfast was over (over at noon I think), menu was basic, but there were enough options - wings, tenders, sandwiches, pizzas, nachos, etc. Drink service was prompt and our water pitcher was refilled as needed. Our food came out and everything tasted just as described, no complaints! (But lets be honest, you come here for convenience, not the food, nothing to rave about) Dining area was as clean as you can expect from an open air atmosphere (a few stray gnats, but that can't be avoided). Biggest downside to the marina: No WiFi and no cell reception. (Download any maps you need before you head out for the day!)

The girl running the front desk, who continuously struggled to coherently articulate words into sentences, who appeared to be abusing anti psychotics/depressants gave me an option between 3 different boats. I chose a white tritoon and told her I would be there in 10 minutes (we are staying at a house directly across from the marina). My friend drops me off at the marina less than 10 minutes later with the jet ski we also rented from them the day before. I get there and check in with the manager to check out my boat and he tells me they are all booked up and can't accommodate us. The manager offered us no accommodations and told me, "sorry you're out of luck." For whoever is reading this it is important to understand they run their reservations for their watercraft on a computer system. There is no possible way they honestly messed this up. They 100% gave our reservation away to another couple in front of me who was complaining about not having any inventory. After begging the manager to figure something out for us so we could salvage the weekend, Sugar Hollow Marina then told me they have another boat they are picking up soon and maybe we could grab that one when it got back. They took my number down and promised to call me. Hours go by with nothing. I call multiple times asking for an update and the airhead front desk attendant continued to sell me a dream that we were gonna get a boat. I call back for the 4th time and I ask since they overbooked me, I cancelled another boat on the lake and ate a $450 deposit so I could rent from them, and now I'm not getting a boat at all, could they do something at all for us. I get put on hold and then she hung up on me. Never called me back. I will never give these people business again. Has to be owned by private equity at this point. Customer service doesn't matter. Absolute disappointment. Figured I could have fun and escape the transactional sad society I'm used to in the big city. I was deeply wrong.... DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE

We usually rent a boat for a few days ... not expert boat drivers. When we drive the boat up to all the marinas to get out or refuel they all are quick to help get us tied up to the dock and secured. All the employees have been friendly and get attitude. We have rents boats here but this time we were staying near another marina. They all are good to rent from ... Called the golf Capital of Tennessee, we see many retirees coming into this area! It did drizzle on us but shucks we were all in swim wear . Boats were well maintained and not difficult to handle. We did stop for a swim after the rain. Wonderful time, good friendship, dancing aboard the pontoons. We brought our own music on board to enjoy!
