Went in and was greeted (well actually not greeted because she said nothing, I had to initiate the conversation) by a woman who I now know was the owner. She was so unfriendly. She acted like it hurt to wait on me. I can see why the place was empty. I know I shouldn't have, but I made a purchase. Do you know she never even said thank you? Unbelievable. And it doesn't end there. The two delivery guys....just as rude and unprofessional. Left chunks of mud on my floor. No booties? Come on guys. I couldn't wait to get them out of my house. I always buy higher quality if it could be dangerous like a aluminum oxide "blade" for a right-angle grinder. They are absolutely the leader in the field of safety equipment. They were able to get us the exact same granite and quartz that I brought in samples of (from a larger granite place). They were really helpful with explaining the different stone and helped us make a decision based on a couple options we compared. The installation/craftsmanship is flawless. AVOID SHOPPING HERE!…read more I am very mindful of how I treat people who work at grocery and convenience stores because I know they have a difficult job. They're putting their health and safety at risk as much as other first responders but without the recognition or appreciation other high profile professions get. Many of them are our kids, our older relatives who do this to get out of the house a couple of days a week. I have great respect for them. That being said, this store is AWFUL! I no longer give them my money. The majority of the staff is rude and poorly trained. The store is often dirty, the produce is dirty and old, there are always piles of boxes and packing materials in the aisles but no one shelving merch. I have had to hunt down a cashier on several occasions because two of them would be standing in an aisle gossiping with each other and no one is at the register. And forget finding a manager, she's never anywhere to be found. She's either "not in" or "in the back" paying no attention to the store conditions, the customers, or the staff. For a short period of time there was male manager (or assistant manager) that seemed to be cleaning the place up but he's long gone. the new woman managing (or assistant managing) appears to be operating a kind of mean girls club that seems to get satisfaction from trash talking other customers and staff they don't like. I agree with Amanda Rose H, years ago the staff were everyday helpful, friendly, polite people. Now they're aggressive, rude, and confrontational. The environment in this store is so toxic that, even though this store is around the block from my home, I will go out of my way to stop anywhere but here for my milk and bread. Without going into detail I've told my adult sons especially to stay away from there. Just not a good place for them to be!

I've never once had an issue where my paint has been mistinted or damaged, and they're both quite friendly and cheerful when you're dealing with them. In addition to the great service, Meade Baltz has pretty much anything you'll need for your paint project on site and if not, they've another shop in nearby Joliet. So if this is your neighborhood and you're thinking of repainting your home, give this place a try. Tucked away in a strip mall with ample parking, I think you'll find shopping here both a comfortable and pleasant experience.

This review is for the service department, not a store location. I called service to send someone…read moreb/c my hot tub was making noises there were not normal. I have had the hot tub for 3+ years. I knew there would be a $100 trip/travel fee and was told labor charges would apply if anything was done. The first thing the tech said to me was there was nothing wrong, nothing to fix. There was nothing extreme at that time, but it was obvious to me that something wasn't right. The tech then told me I messed up the chemicals most likely (my issue was w/sounds moving through the pipes in the hot tub and how the jets were working/blowing out water, not sure how chemicals would cause that and they were on point at the time the guy came (he didn't check so couldn't say otherwise). He stayed for another 20 minutes repeating that to me, to the point I had to ask him to leave b/c there was no point of him staying. I was shocked when I saw the invoice where he charged $30 labor. After i was told I would be notified and approve any labor before it took place ... and noting he did not do any labor, he told me it was all find, so how was there labor? When I called to complain I was told the $30 was for when he offered to clear the reminders that flash across the screen. Mind you that was not part of the original complaint, nor did I ask for it, or was I told this would be "labor". The manager at the service place didn't seem at all bothered about this scenario then offered a $30 gift card to make up for the labor charges. Great, but the fact that no one is concerned I got charged labor for "nothing is wrong" and just wants to send a gift card rather than address the issue is sad. ***Fast forward to 32 days later, my hot tub failed with flow issues and not heating (things that make the noises I called TGE out to look at and was told nothing was wrong). I call back, met with the same condescending manager who tells me since it was past the 30 days I would be charged another $100 trip fee. That close of a window, after the tech told me nothing was wrong and had to be asked to leave and charged labor services there should be a grace period when the hot tub fails. My HT broke within a few months of purchasing, but it was under warranty so no issues. So, I would definitely NOT recommend buying anything from TGE b/c once your warranty is up, they don't care and will make it extremely maddening/frustrating. I ended up calling another service to come out and fix it and that is who I will be going with. TGE has the lowest trip/travel fee, but that is probably b/c the labor charges start right after they get to your house even though they tell you nothing is wrong.. that is how they recoup the difference. They have 40 complaints in 3 years through the BBB and majority is surrounding the service department with the same complaints/stories I have. Beware.
