I ordered paint and primer on-line and chose this store for pick-up…read more I got a confirmation email and text stating that my order was being mixed and would be ready for pick-up at 10:00am the following morning. I arrived at the store around 3PM and was told by the person at the desk that it was not ready and that he did not receive an order. I showed him my emails and he somehow found the order and told me that he could not fulfill the order as his store does not carry the primer. I asked how the order was taken if the inventory was not in the store. He had no answer. I asked if he could just substitute another primer and fulfill the order and was told that he could not do that. asked if he could check with his manager and he informed me that HE was he manager. I tried several different approaches to get my order fulfilled and each time I presented an different scenario I was told no. He then got on the phone and called two other store asking for help in cancelling my order. I told Carlos (the Manager) that I did not want it cancelled and he ignored me and finally told me he did not like my attitude and asked to leave his store. I traveled to another location where I was treated like a King. The Asst. Manger found my order, substituted a Primer, and apologized for the way I was treated at the Plainfield Store. He told me that this is how it should have been taken care of in the first place! i would deffinately steer clear of the Plainfiled store and travel a bit further to get the treatment like a customer should.

When I contacted the store to follow a different manager said that was not the store policy and they would not exchange it even though that is what the previous manager promised he would do, not honor what was said! Additionally this manager was dismissive, and rude. I will never shop there again, terrible customer service. Find another hardware store and run far away from this one.. Their management is atrocious.

I brought back the paint - 35 gallons - and Don worked his magic and was able to salvage the paint by using his vast knowledge and experience to add pigment such that it changed a tan paint into a gray paint. Way to go Don!!!! I have attached a picture showing the miraculous changes in color. The color on the right is the color that Don created by eye. He did not use any automated computers to do this.
