My uncle passed away and I wanted a florist that knew the venue and when to deliver. Also wanted a beautiful large spray. Our budget was $300. Carol picked up and was sweet and caring. So I bit in and bought a spray for my uncle assuming it would be a larger spray than not. Or at least standard. I called them based on a Google review. I guess that's what I get for using that app. She said the sash was free. Said she would text me a photo on Thursday. None of that happened. Nothing got done. Matter of fact it was much smaller than what was offered on the funeral site at the mortuary and cost even more. Disappointed to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this place again. I do not live in the area but I called this local florist to send flowers to my best friend's grandmother's services. Shira spoke with me about what I wanted (lots of white flower - like Lillie's, roses, etc). She sent me a picture of my order & I was WOWED. My best friend & her family thought the arrangement was just as gorgeous as I did. I paid $110, which is pretty standard & I have Shira the creative control. She did not disappoint. Shira is a sweet lady who did a beautiful job for special flowers, took time to get it right & delivered ON TIME to the service, which was so important to me. This shop deserves the 5 stars I gave. Received an arrangement for my birthday, the sender was unhappy with the product that was delivered, it was basically a Temu version of the arrangement that they purchased, and asked for a refund or replacement. I received a call from the flower shop saying they're picking up the arrangement. As the recipient of the flowers, this was shocking. The rude woman on the phone talked down to me saying "if someone does not want to pay for a product, we should be able to pick it up sweetheart" which was not appreciated. Usually customers are cranky Karen's, but this establishment has a Karen answering the phone. They need some customer service training here. Beyond rude. I called for quotes on corsages for my daughters, the woman who answered the phone was so rude. She had an attitude the minute she picked up the phone as if I bothered her by calling. She asked what color my girls were wearing, I told her they would both be in black. She asked if I wanted pink roses, I said no I would prefer white roses. Then she asked if I wanted pink ribbon and I told her I would prefer black to match their dresses. She just pauses and says "for an 8 year old? That's weird." In a condescending tone. I just hung up on her because there's no point in arguing with someone who doesn't care for my business. First of all I didn't ask for your opinion, I asked for your prices. That's it! If I wanted your "professional input" I would have asked for your suggestion. You loss a possible customer and I will be sure to tell all my friends who are looking for a florist to stay away as well. Word of advice, not like you'll take it. But learn to keep your opinions to yourself, you're not paying for it so keep your thoughts to yourself unless asked for your opinion. I doubt that they care though since this seems to be a reoccurring issue with this establishment. It's not too bad and the recepient loved them. I ordered through Teleflora at 10 am and they arrived same day 3:30 pm. The main reason for this purchase was the tiny terra cotta pot, it had a special meaning but the florist had no way of knowing this and Teleflora doesn't tell you who receives your order. I ordered through Teleflora because I procrastinated and my regular florist, who has always made exceptional, high quality arrangements, wasn't able to deliver same day. I am willing to work with this florist again and order directly, to make sure there are no wilted flowers (the purple ones were wilted, my regular florist would have never add wilted flowers) and the arrangement was leaking from the bottom. Overall, the pink flower they added was loved by the recipient so I'm happy they loved it. read more

I can't even being to say how very disappointed I was to receive a photo of the flowers I ordered for a sympathy arrangement. As someone who has had experience working in a flower shop I'm am very, very familiar with how they go & operate. Being that this arrangement really meant something to me I wanted to make sure I ordered something I really wanted as this was going to be delivered to a home locally in my area so I made sure to go to a local flower shop to make sure that I would be able to get what I wanted. This was my first time going to this shop and clearly the last. I explained to the owner ( who works in her own shop) what I was looking for. I originally was going to order from 1800flowers and was looking to get a certain arrangement that came with a Lenox Vase .. but unfortunately this vase was unable. When I showed a picture to the owner of the 1-800 design I wanted she said this would be no problem and showed me the vase that she has and would use. Which was just a regular clear vase. Which I was ok with. I told her I wanted to spend $100 on the arrangement and I understood that delivery would be extra. We actually had a nice conversation and had told her I worked in a flower shop years ago back in the day and learned we actually knew alot of the same people. And although I haven't worked in a shop after all these years I still know the lingo very well. I was so pleased with our conversation & confident with her that I even placed an order for Saturday (9/17/2022) for 2 presentation bouquets. So I wouldn't have to go to LA flower mart and make them myself. BUT... I guess she thinks since I haven't worked in a shop for years that i still don't know flowers or how it goes. WRONG! I know how it works and the breakdown. And to help others understand this is what the $100 is supposed to cover.... vase, filler flowers, greens and of course the major flowers requested. Most flowers shops when putting together an arrangement charge you usually by the stem. That's why they ask how much you want to spend. In this case the owner made it clear that she charged $75 for a dozen roses & $25 for the rest of the flowers. As you will see she said in the text messages. I never said I wanted a dozen of roses. I asked for different types of flowers that would make the arrangement as full as possible. And $100 should have been more than enough. Take note to the order form. So with her doing this... she used the cost of the roses to take away from adding more stems of the other flowers I wanted. If you look at the original photo that I showed her compared to what she made you can see it's not even close with the to what I showed and what I got. That is why this arrangement looks the way it does. In the original photo you can clearly see at least 5 Siberian white lilies and that's only in 1 side of the arrangement... and in her photo you only see 3 from 2 sides in the photos she sent me. So you get the general idea. Attached are pictures that will speak for itself and you can be the judge. I also attached the text messages we exchanged about the arrangement. The 1st photo shows what I originally wanted from 1800flowers. The 2nd photo shows the order form. It shows flower description along with price, delivery fee & sales tax. 3rd-5th photos shows the text message she sent me of the arrangement she made. And the other photos show our messages back and forth. I would have given a 1 star review, but since she wasn't hesitant or questionable about me canceling my second order for the presentation bouquets and gave me my refund as requested I decided on a 2 star review. Negative star review because of the horrible experience I had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Lady that took my order over the phone was not professional at all. She did not take the time to ask what it was that I wanted, and instead being very condescending. Who takes an order and does not ask for a phone number? I spelled out exactly how I wanted the banner to be like, she read it back and spelled it right on the card, but made 3 typos on the banner ?! This is ridiculous. She also promised to send a photo of the arrangement before delivering it to the funeral home, in which she did not. I had to call her several times asking for it and it took her 30 min to figure it out after me having to call 3 times asking what was going on. The arrangement looked sloppy like it was falling apart, and she called it "elegant". I also specified white and blue flowers ONLY, and she took it upon herself to add purple on there. Arrangement had very few flowers and wasn't full like a wreath should. Spend your money elsewhere, do not give this place your business. When purchasing a sympathy arrangement for a funeral, the last thing you want to deal with is frustration with a lesson learned from buying from the wrong place. read more

The flowers were for my mom's urn what I ordered was a hot pink arrangement. 3 glads staggered and roses, hydrangeas, lilies with greens and gyp ( baby's breath) . What I received was 3 short white glads pale roses white hydrangeas baby's breath and greens. Major fail and it was definitely not worth $135.00. I had to get flowers for a Celebration of Life and Carol came through in a big way. The flowers were more beautiful than the picture I used to pick them out. One of the things I love the best is this shop goes the extra mile and sends you a picture of what the delivered flowers look like. That is so very great. I ordered the You are Special bouquet for my wife from FTD which used Whittier Blossom Shop to fulfill my purchase. I purchased the most expensive exquisite arrangement which was supposed to come very full with a special vase. What they sent looked nothing like what I ordered the arrangement looked bare and they substituted a very cheap vase as you can see by the photos. I am cancelling my gold subscription to FTD so I never have to experience flowers from this shop again To answer the reply. I was charged $98.09 not $39 and I can provide the PayPal receipt showing the ftd order, date and amount paid. I sent these to my wife's job on Monday. The photo was taken on Friday, well within the 7 day freshness guarantee. I contacted FTD that Friday but never got a response. By the time i was able to contact someone the guarantee had expired. FTD was unwilling to make this right. My problem wasn't with the wilting. It was with how the flowers were nothing similar to what I had ordered. Quality, quantity, and extra items that should have come like the base that doubles as a candle holder. You have a choice of good, better, best or exquisite. Ordered flowers through Teleflora (huge mistake) so i am not sure if the miscommunication happened at that level or if the flower shop completely disregarded the flower arraignment I ordered and filled it in with whatever flowers were available. Either way i ended up paying $159 for the arraignment that looks more like a $45 dollar arraignment slapped together quickly. The delivery person left the flowers right up against a gate that opens outward (very noticeable that the gate opens out) so as you can imagine getting to the arraignment was tricky. Not sure if the blame is entirely on Whittier Blossom or Teleflora but either way the flowers suck! read more
