Honestly, I'm hungry at this point, so let's get down to business. There was specials happening since it was memorial weekend a menu was titled honor day. The employees at the register were kind, efficient, and helpful answering any questions. Once the food was paid for a server would call your name, and bring it to your table. High turnover rate so food was fresh and fast. For appetizers, brisket nachos was ordered. I highly recommend this!!! Brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful. I could eat a pound of this! I had A plate of pulled chicken, toast, Cole slaw, and potato salad for sides. My in laws had the ribs and pulled pork plates. Cole slaw was creamy, crunchy and slightly sweet. At this point just make a sandwich with all the meats, and throw the potato salad, and coleslaw on top to devour. You will be doing a food dance!!! The smoked sausage was just OK, nothing special. Both were served on what looked like thin Wonder Bread. Texas toast would greatly improve this. Not sure there was actually any cheese in the "grilled cheese" sandwich since neither one of us tasted it or saw it. One bag of chips, two beers, $47 later we're heading for the exit. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for lunch.

Drinks took another 10 minutes and our meals 10 minutes later. So we were eating by 4:50. I guess in the grand scheme of things, that's not bad. I used the wait time to take pictures of the interior. Lots of brick. And pictures of horses. I considered buying a t-shirt but changed my mind. Dad ordered the salmon Orleans. With broccoli and Brussels. It looked amazing. I had the Cajun shrimp pasta. I met Madilynn McReynolds at the counter whose smile lights up the room and was very welcoming. She told me they have been open for about 5 months and the smoker sits behind the restaurant. The brisket is on point with a subtle smoke flavor, very tender, moist, and a nicely seasoned bark. The chicken was tender with a light smoke and the sausage had a nice pork flavor, not overly seasoned, and the casing was firm. I really enjoyed the potato salad, very different flavor as it included chunks and pieces of green olives, sadly I wasn't a fan of the beans. They also make their own BBQ sauce, a sweet & smoky flavor and really compliments the meat.
