3 meat combo plate with pulled pork, ribs, sausage. Sides: Mac and potato salad and Texas toast
    Stephanie C.

Pretty solid bbq connected to the distillery! Huge fan of the ribs, it fell off the bone and very nicely seasoned. Get the hot bbq sauce- it has a nice little kick and isn't terribly spicy. Sausage was solid, pulled pork was a little dry. The Mac and potato salad were both tasty and solid sides. Get the half unsweetened half sweetened tea!

Yelp! Barrell House is connected to Uncle Nearest distillery. Bae, had to have a pork sandwich right after tour. Of course, they are sold out of chicken because they close in 5 mins, right after tour ended. Bae settled on a pork sandwich and chips with a drink. I got a cup of ice. It was 17.00 without a tip and we're not even eating inside. SMH. Not a terrible price, if the sandwich was any good. Pork was boiled and chewy, not a great representation of bbq. We will not waste our time or calories next time. I will say the front counter help is amazing! And, this is a really cute space.

After a tour at Uncle Nearest Distillery, we needed a quick bite. The largest bar attached to farm stands was a little too noisy for us so we came to the Barrell House bar b q for sandwiches. The ladies got ribs for later. I ordered a shredded pork sandwich to eat there and a chicken to go but received chicken on both orders. They were both good but I can't comment on the pork as I was too hungry to send it back and wait. I liked the atmosphere and the counter operator and waitress were attentive.

This particular location is located at the Uncle Nearest Distillery. You can see it from the parking lot. That saying there is free parking to the restaurant. The staff was friendly and greeted us as soon as we entered the restaurant. There was no line. We reviewed the short but concise menu. It had all the main bbq items that you would expect to be available. We got the brisket sandwich with mac n cheese and loaded potato with pulled chicken. We heard another customer saying how good the brisket was. You seat yourself, and food is brought out to you. The restaurant was a stable repurposed into a restaurant. The stalls were turned into bench tables, which had sliding doors so you could close if wanted. Some of the prized horses from the farm were pictured throughout. I think it was great to honor the former owner and horses trained there. Our food came out in decent time and decently priced. Brisket was good. The mac n cheese was okay. The baked potato was covered in cheese but under heat too long. The chicken had good flavor but needed more. The food was okay. It was decent. We were hungry, so it held us over until we could eat again later. I was hoping for a better bbq food experience.

Great service and excellent food! Service was quick, easy to customize and brought to our table quickly even though we ordered at a counter. The food was phenomenal! My pulled pork nachos were covered in cheese and very tasty, the grilled cheese on crack was equally satisfying. Lots of seating options, inside, outside, table or booth. The restaurant had the a/c on and it felt chilly, so if you run cold wear a jacket or sit outside.

Excellent bbq. The pork, chicken and sausage were scrumptious. Fast and friendly service. Ample seating. The have a nice selection of adult refreshments on tap. A special thanks to Ashley for recognizing us and gifting us a US Military coin.

I came to the distillery for my birthday since I was in Nashville and I'm so glad I did. I had been looking at this menu every week to see what I'd get and they did not disappoint. We could smell the aroma and flavors of the bbq from the hall way as we walked in. The inside space is not huge but there's also seating outside with amazing views of the grounds. They have booths with barnyard style doors attached to each section, I loved that. The lady who took our orders was so nice and everything she suggested was a hit. I don't eat greens at all but when she said she helped with them I had to give it a try. The minute she let me sample the mac and cheese, I was sold. I had the brisket grilled cheese on crack. The moist brisket was so juicy I couldn't even finish it all. The star was the half pound of sausage. I've never had sausage that literally melted in your mouth, that's how good it was All the employees was so friendly and hospitable. They truly made this experience worth it.

Stopped in for a tasting at Uncle Nearest so we were hungry and this place was on site. We ordered the grilled cheese on crack with brisket and it's definitely well deserved of its name. It was delicious, tender brisket, and the Texas toast is perfect for it. We also ordered the 2 meat plate with sausage and ribs, along with Mac n cheese and greens. The ribs were tender not Smokey but good flavor. The sausage was great, cooked perfectly and tender. The Mac n cheese was not that good, needed seasoning and more cheese. The greens had great flavor and cooked great.

The staff here is really nice and the food is better! Everything we had was good, brisket grilled cheese on crack, greens, and Mac and cheese. Prices are reasonable but the side portions are small. We also tried both desserts: the peach cobbler and bread pudding. Loved them both.

The sausages were wonderfully cooked. The ribs were 7/10. The briskets were 7/10. The star of the show was the suicidal bbq sauce.

No website. No branding. Just vibes, smoke, and cool accents. And some ads for discounted tickets to a community wrestling match taking place tonight. So naturally, we ordered: Brisket sandwich Pulled pork plate + 1/3 lb of sausage Fried pies (chocolate & lemon - because obviously) First impression: this is the kind of place where you trust the food immediately because the building looks like it could survive a tornado and a country album cover at the same time. Brisket sandwich -- super solid. Not trying too hard, just smoky, tender, and exactly what you want when you're in the middle of nowhere and questioning your life decisions (in a good way). Pulled pork plate -- this is where they flex a little. Juicy, good bark, and the kind of portion that makes you reconsider finishing it... and then you finish it anyway. Except my teenage daughter, who hadn't eaten anything all day except a Kodiak protein cup, didn't quite... 1/3 lb of sausage -- yeah, that was a solid addition. Smothered in a mix of mild, hot, and sweet bbq sauce, it was good without being too greasy. Fried pies -- listen. These are dangerous. Crispy, sweet, probably made by someone's grandma in the back. If you skip these, you've made a mistake. Overall: No frills. No nonsense. Just really good barbecue in a place that may or may not have a name. 5 stars for food +1 star for mystery branding I hope our dishwasher lasts a long time, but if not, we'll be sure to come back here!

Upon approach, the property itself is visible from the highway and was impressive, almost to the point of breathtaking. Justing seeing this was simple reminder on why doing this tour was a must for me. The welcome center was just that, welcoming! It was clean, modern and displayed history of Nearest Green's lineage, facts about the art of distilling, along with display cases filled with tools from the original distillery/farm. There was also a display case for their world-renowned Uncle Nearest Tennessee Whiskey. All the staff I encountered were kind and welcoming. The tour guide for my tour was Terrell Johnson and he was phenomenal! It was obvious from the beginning, that he thoroughly enjoys his job; he was funny, personable, and very knowledgeable. He shared that he's been at the distillery for the past 5 years and has received lots of recognition for outstanding work as a tour guide. The entire property exceeds 450 acres which is massive. That said, the tour only covered a small portion of the property. We did see one of the barrel houses which actually contained barrels of whiskey that were in the aging process. We were also able to see the onsite bottling area which was in operation at the time. Because it was staffed and operational, pictures and video were not allowed. Towards the end of the tour we did a tasting which was included with the tour. During this time, we also got to label our own bottle of Uncle Nearest 1856 to take home with us. Terrell encouraged us to do something unique with the label to ensure it stood out from the bottles that can be purchased at most liquor stores. After completing the tasting, we went back to the welcome enter which and the opportunity to peruse the store which contained numerous Uncle Nearest branded merchandise as well as numerous bottles of the various types of Uncle Nearest whiskey. The unique part about this is they have a few that can only be purchased there which was a nice treat. Lastly, their bar, Humble Baron, is located at the rear of the welcome center space. Unfortunately, I went on a Thursday afternoon and the bar is only open on the weekend. Needless to say, I will make a return visit just experience a pour or two in their bar. Overall, I am pleased with the tour experience and would participate again. was a good experience. As someone who has been supportive of the brand and the Nearest Green story, I hope they quickly resolve their current issues so the focus can return the Nearest Green story and his legacy can continue to live and grow.

I met Madilynn McReynolds at the counter whose smile lights up the room and was very welcoming. She told me they have been open for about 5 months and the smoker sits behind the restaurant. I can see where the name of the place comes from, it's about as big as an alley so seating is limited. I decided to go with the Cowboy Sampler and the sausage, brisket, and chicken option plus some beans and potato salad. The brisket is on point with a subtle smoke flavor, very tender, moist, and a nicely seasoned bark. The chicken was tender with a light smoke and the sausage had a nice pork flavor, not overly seasoned, and the casing was firm. I really enjoyed the potato salad, very different flavor as it included chunks and pieces of green olives, sadly I wasn't a fan of the beans. They also make their own BBQ sauce, a sweet & smoky flavor and really compliments the meat. I also met the McReynolds family...was a pleasure to talk BBQ with Jeremy and Crystal, wonderful folks who are intent on providing a good experience for their customers. Overall a solid offering of Texas style BBQ while the service and atmosphere is awesome.
