We have had two scares involving our child and there was absolutely no evidence other than second and third-hand stories, what we could piece together from our child's limited vocabulary, and scratches on their skin. I've also gone in to pick up our child, to find a completely new caregiver I had never seen before taking care of the kids. In 2024 there is no reason that parents should not be able to check in on their kids virtually whenever they want to. We get a few pictures of our kid a day through the app, and we are missing thousands of little moments in their development. Enough is enough. Give parents peace of mind and the sense that we are a part of our children's day, even if we can't be there in person.

When we toured, they let us check out the room, meet the teachers and ask tons of questions. They are accomodating to parental requests - such as if you would like to substitute meals, or provide specific snacks. For example, we prefer that our son doesn't consume too much sugar (he's got enough energy as is...!), so we requested that when juice is served that it is watered down 50/50, and they have been very accomodating. He has some food sensitivities and they have substituted snacks when necessary. We enjoy having the updates on the app - we get a few photos a day of what he's doing, along with notifications of any diaper changes, what he's eating and how much, and how long and when he naps! Once in a while we get videos as well and it's so lovely to get little updates through the day. Miss Serenity and Miss Katie have been so lovely, and he looks forward to seeing them and his classmates. The socialization has been great for him. We have always had great interactions with the staff. We recommended Calvary Preschool to a friend, and they enrolled their baby and have been loving it too!

Especially since our daughter had thrived with one-on-one (one-on-two once her little brother arrived) care from our nanny. However, by the time she was 4 it was apparent she craved social interaction with other kids her age. So we decided to look around. Unfortunately, after a few tours at other sterile centers, we confirmed our suspicions. So we stuck with the nanny a little longer. A few months later we learned that a close friends fiancé was the director of a highly touted day care. So even though it was a little further away from home we decided to book a tour with her. We were very impressed with the center because it was quickly apparent that it was not another sterile, dull center with a factory-like leadership mentality. We enrolled our son in the 1s classroom and our daughter in the Preschool classroom shortly thereafter. We couldn't be happier a year and a half later. They get dirty, creative, active and educated at their own pace daily! Our kids love going to "school" so much that we can actually use the threat of not going for disciplinary reasons if absolutely necessary. That is all the testimony a parent should need! ;)

They require all students to wear a maple bear T-shirt which is great, makes getting ready easy and provides extra layer of consistency. They communicate daily and my son binds so well with the teachers. They only employ full time teachers so that students have the same adults all day. They don't shuffle around to maximize ratios. In fact they keep Their ratios below state standards.

Originally we hesitated sending her to daycare at all as we were worried about missing out on so much of her critical developmental months, but after seeing how much she enjoys it and how much she has improved at things she used to hate (tummy time, floor time, etc), we know we made the right choice. I do not recommend this school for toddlers…read more I received a message through their app that there had been an incident with my 2 year old son and that he had fallen off a ladder during outside water time. Attached to the message was a picture of my sons face with an extremely large bruise on his left cheek bone. An incident like this warrants more than just a text message from their staff. A phone call would have been more appropriate. Especially since their was a head injury. I most certainly question what their staff is doing during their outside play time, because Ive had multiple conversations / incidences with staff in regards to the little kids playing in the "big kid area" it's clearly not safe for them near there. Unfortunately bc of this incident we are no longer having our son attend Heartprints Montessori. Self-directed activity doesn't mean you let these toddlers do whatever they want and not observe/watch them.
