One of the teachers--and…read morepart owner--of Shareworld, Sunni Lin clearly has mental issues: an incident happen where he physically lifted my 9 year old son by his broken arm, push a desk at him and screamed on top of his lungs at my son for not following directions. One of the parent text me afterwards saying the class was hysterical and there were kids crying. This is completely unacceptable and deeply disturbing behavior from someone entrusted with the care of children. Sunni clearly has anger issues and cannot regulate his temper. Multiple students have witnessed him yelling, banging on desks, and even throwing phones at the wall during class. His behavior is not only unprofessional , it it's frightening. He is unfit to be in any teaching or leadership role around children. I filed a police report to document the incident. The detective strongly urged me to press charges, warning that this individual is a danger to other children. As a parent, I knew he was right--but despite that, I made the difficult decision not to pursue charges out of consideration for his three young children, who attend the same school as mine (John Muir Elementary). It was not an easy choice, but I wanted to give him a chance to take responsibility without destroying his family. Since then, my children and all students others have withdrawn from the program. Please be cautious if you're considering Shareworld. No child should ever have to experience something like this

I only wantedd this place to prepare him for test-taking. Instead these people have a way of saying your child is deficient in some areas and enrolling you and fleecing you. 1. When you go to enroll, the owner talks to to you for an hour (with lots of disruptions so really she spends less time with you but the elapsed time is long) to grind you down to sign a contract. Even though I told her several times I want to sign up for month-to-month but she talked about the discounts and how you can get more than 1 workbook in a week to speed up. I am sorry to say, I fell for her pressure salesman tactics and gave her a check for six hundred sixty for the 6 months. I don't remember signing any contract. I filled an application form and was not given a copy. BTW they won't give me more than 1 book a week so in no way have I got the benefit of 6 month contract. Other than 10 dollars a month discount. Now she won't let me cancel (although month-to-month folks have the ability to cancel). I even offered her to charge me the month to month rate. 2. The first week we go for the 'class' and she forces me to schedule an appointment for my son for 2 hrs every week. I thought this is included in the 660 I paid. Then she says it will be 350 per month. I said, no I am not interested. And she says it is not much only 70 per hours. Rubbish. As if 70/hr is not much. 3. I have no idea what the heck goes on in the class. I asked the lady at the reception to explain what happens during the 40 minutes class and she tells me - you drop your son, leave and come back!!! Thank you very much. I am asking what goes on when I leave him there. What is taught. What is done, etc. You see, they claim it is a class and I still have no idea how it is conducted. I asked to speak to the teacher and receptionist tells me she is busy. 4. On top of this I paid 30 to get my younger son tested for 30 bucks and she said she did it for free!! I told her I paid. I even have the check counterfoil. Bunch of lies. 5. When I say I want to cancel because I am busy, son is busy, son is stressed and gets headaches, owner tells me we need to see why he is getting headaches! I told her I will discuss that with my pediatrician. Just give me the money back and let me cancel. She keeps saying it is a contract. I did not sign a contract. 6. My understanding is this place maybe suited for people whose kids need help because they are lagging. This is definitely not a place to put an already advanced kid. Very disappointing. Stay away if you can. I want to run away from this place and cut my damages.

They also have strong English program. I was worried that my daughter could not read simple English book at the beginning, after no more than 1 year, should could read and talks fluently, her comprehension also improves a lot. They also have a kid loving enviornment. My daughter loves JEI techers and director.

Ms Alice is passionate about ensuring that the students have a solid understanding of the foundational math concepts. I say that out of my own personal experience. I know because of the Kumon Math Program, our older one was always placed in an advanced math course(s) in Middle and High school. They constantly encouraged our daughter to maintain a Kumon routine (like brushing your teeth everyday) despite her school work load and a very hectic after-school competitive synchro swim schedule. They worked very closely with our daughter to adjust her Kumon work as and when needed. Thanks to their constant encouragement and personal attention, our older one completed all of the Kumon Math levels by the time she started her High School sophomore year. Now I see the same level of commitment to our younger one (In 6th grade - middle school). My younger one has tried to quit a few times, especially when she is moved to the next math level. Each time, Ms Alice will take out a considerable amount of time to speak with our younger one to assess the root cause and then find a creative way to create a win-win option.

The teachers are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They seem to have an endless trove of creative activities, multiple options set up every day. They do a group snack time where the kids learn to serve themselves. They help with potty training. My son LOVES the sand pit, mud station, pretend room, and all his new friends. It was intimidating for me to join a new group of families, but everyone has been so friendly and helpful. I feel comfortable and supported as a Mom, and I love being able to spend time with ALL the kids here, a bonus I didn't anticipate enjoying so much. Parent participation is a huge and important part of the experience, and it worked out awesome for us.
