I specifically booked a Senior Stylist through the website at a listed price of $133. After booking, I received a call requiring a $50 deposit, which I paid. During that call, I was also advised to wait until the next day to see the same Senior Stylist I had originally selected. The morning of my appointment, I received a confirmation link that included a vague statement: "If you booked with a senior stylist, you will be subject to an upcharge at checkout." However, no amount was disclosed, which is misleading and unacceptable. At checkout, I was shocked to be charged $150 instead of $133, along with an automatic 20% gratuity ($30)--bringing my total to $180 for a service I expected to cost $133. When I contacted the salon to dispute the charges, communication stopped, and they have refused to refund the $21 overcharge ($17 price difference + $4 additional gratuity). This experience reflects a lack of transparency and poor customer service. Pricing should be clearly disclosed upfront, not revealed after the service is completed. I am simply requesting a $21 refund to correct this issue. Owner requested proof of website discrepancies and they would happily refund my $21 which I did.. now they are not responding.

When I asked for thicker braids, the result was inconsistent sizing throughout. Additionally, my hair began to frizz almost immediately because it was not properly wrapped into the braiding hair. Overall, the lack of professionalism and attention to detail was disappointing. I might try again with a different braider.

Finally I did get her on the phone and asked to schedule it. She said her phone, which she uses to schedule, had just ran out of power and that she'd call me back when it charged a bit. Guess what? She didn't call me back. Luckily, during the call, she'd mentioned that there was an online scheduling tool I'd somehow missed on the website that I could use to schedule. So I did. She called me the day after to confirm my appointment and she told me that "I was the last Living Social deal" she was going to accept, so don't be surprised if the voucher didn't work when I came in, but she'd still honor it. Very weird. I arrived on time for my appointment and she was running very behind, I had to wait 45 minutes for my appointment to start. I'm a busy person, so this really didn't make me happy. When I finally got to my lesson, it was much different than I thought. She applied my makeup and told me what she was doing, but I couldn't see what she was doing while she was doing it, so I feel like I lost out a lot of the value. Also, with other makeup lessons, they do one side of your faced and then you do the other side so that they can watch and coach you. She didn't do this, it would have been much better if she did. Also, I specifically told her I wanted to learn how to do my eyeliner better. At the end of the lesson, she still hadn't covered this. I kept pushing her to go over with me so she drew something on real quick and said "that's how I would do it." Um, really? It was crooked and looked terrible. I think she just wanted me out of there because she was running behind on her next appointments. Did I learn something? Yep, especially about how to apply my foundation. And she gave me some makeup I was missing to get me started, so I gave her a $5 tip to cover that, but I won't be back.

Very quickly you realize the integrity of this business with the normal price is 200. When I question what service I'm having, the receptionist said it was Groupon's decision to have it listed at $500. Then comes time to booking the service. When I first called, I was told to book on the website. When I told her I didn't have access to a website at that point in time, she said to call back later. A few days later I have access to the Internet and book the appointment. Two hours before the appointment, I received a cancellation of the appointment, costing me 250 in lost revenue (I could have taken a client myself ). The email asked me to rebook on the app which I do for the next day. The next day I look up the location of the business on Groupon, and catch a taxi to the location. It was 9 AM and nobody was at the business. I called the receptionist number and was told the business is at a new location. And that I could still keep the appointment time. Another taxi ride later, I arrive at the new location at 9:20 AM. The business is still closed. I called again and was told Angela is pulling up. 10 minutes later I called again and I'm asked if I would like to reschedule!!!! Wtf!!!! I shared with this woman that this business should not be an operation. Not only are they disrespectful of other people's time, and money, they are completely deceiving people with their marketing. I called Groupon about this mess, and they are not the best organization as I believe they are head honcho's in deception. After this Occasion I will never use Groupon again, and would never use this salon for anything!!!! Agh! Stay away!!! Dumb and dumper!!!
