I think the tacos are MEH and expensive!!! Nothing like a Mexican taco or foods. I don't go after the first time visiting.

Totally unimpressed by this place. I got the chicken tacos and 8oz side of rice and beans. Their menu read confusing, as they didn't have prices on the different meats, and tacos ranged from $2.99-$3.99 so I wasn't even sure how much my tacos would come to. I also thought it was 8oz combined of rice & beans for like $2.99 but I believe it rang up as individual 8oz containers. My total for the plate (3 tacos) & sides came to ~$16 without a tip or drink. The chicken tacos were SO bland. I tried adding more lime, the grilled onions, radishes, both the red and green salsas, and even rice and beans but nothing could rescue the flat flavor of nothingness every time I bit into my tacos. My red salsa that came with my plate was genuinely lame, it had hints of Tabasco sauce? Like they were trying to make it so spicy without any actual depth or flavor. I expected more from this place. I did try my friends steak from his taco and it was a bit more flavorful, so perhaps I got the wrong meat. Their employees were very nice and service wasn't too long, restaurant clean but limited seating! I would only return here to try the California burrito. I can find similar prices and great quality elsewhere.

Also it has a small meat, cheese section inside where you can buy marinated meats for your table. Ordered 3 different california burritos Al Pastor, Steak, Chicken. I've been on a Mexican food kick lately, and I remembered reading about Taqueria La Casita. I was…read moreactually out in Livonia, heading to a diferent Mexican place, but when I got there, it not only looked closed, but it looked like it was mostly a carry-out place. So, I decided to drive all the way out here because I have learned that trying to satisfy a craving with something different than what I really want doesn't work. It was an odd time -- about 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon -- when I arrived. The place is small, but it is very cheerfully decorated. The server was very friendly and helpful. He brought a basket of homemade chips and salsa as I sat down. After looking at all the options, I decided to be boring and I got the taco salad. It was very good, but as I was eating, I remembered seeing fried ice cream on their menu. I asked if they had it & he said absolutely. So, I stopped eating my entree & took it (and the chips) home and had the fried ice cream. It was SOOO worth it. they really did lightly batter the ice cream and fry it. (Unlike many place that don't actually do that.) It was served in a slightly sweet, lightly cinnamoned tortilla and topped with some chocolate sauce, whipped cream and maraschino cherries. If I lived closer & it hadn't been so hot outside, I may have ordered another one to take home!

Great little place, salsa is plentiful without extra charge like some places…read more Lunch options are very reasonable. Service is prompt and friendly. Lots of interesting soup options.

Good thing it didn't fall on someone walking in. We let the staff know after it fell down. Live Singer. Feel like I am at a wedding in here for some reason. It's quite loud in the dining room. Hard to have a conversation at times. Asked the waitress if the singer could turn down his speaker volume a notch, he did. Can chat again. Ordered taquitos Mexicano, 2 chicken street tacos, 2 side of black beans, 2 chicken quesadillas, large guacamole. $50.48 The Dos flautas are only available at lunch. The corn chips are hard, not my thing. The house mild and hot salsa mixes nicely. The guacamole is decent. Made with pico de gallo. Fresh. The quesadillas are super cheesy, bottom 1/3 is all cheese, diced chicken on top. Not too bad, more meat and cheese balance. The beans aren't bad. The refried beans are tasty, slight smokey flavor even. The chicken and beef taw were okay. The chicken street tacos are so-so, meat is dry.

I was greeted immediately (I actually didn't see the host at the stand at first) and was seated. He then brought a basket of warm chips and salsa. I ordered the lunch special #5 -- a burrito and taco. They both had ground beef and were served on a bed of rice. The burrito was very basic -- just the beef and cheese. The taco had some lettuce in it. I was a little disappointed that sour cream & tomatoes didn't come with it. My meal was tasty, but because it was placed on top of the rice, the taco got soggy. The service was wonderful and friendly. I'm sure I will be back again.

It feels like we are clubbing in here. Can't have a conversation really. The corn chips are not fresh, could be better if they were freshly made. I want the chips to be good. The elote seems to be mixed with the queso, which is really runny. It tastes better, but could be thicker. The guacamole is average, not a lot of flavor to it. Main food orders in after about 15 minutes after we were seated. The flautas are super dry, the chicken that is. The chicken isn't even jerky like, just bark like burnt. The lobster quesadilla tastes rather interesting. On closer examination after the odd texture of the lobster, it had the strangest layers to it, reminds me of the Krab. Something quite odd about their lobster for sure, comes across to me as imitation meat. Hard to describe how weird it was to me, has completely left me at a loss and utterly confused. Meat doesn't have the chew I expected at all, mostly disintegrated in my mouth without biting it and the odd layers really threw me off exceedingly. My husband asked our waitress about the nature of the lobster meat to Nikki. She asked the kitchen if the lobster meat in the quesadilla and enchiladas was real lobster meat. The kitchen of course said yes, it is. I wouldn't have expected anyone to say the lobster meat was imitation though. Such a strange meal and experience tonight.
