I love Mexican, however this place was not for me. I have tried many times and this is how I based the review after the 5th. I feel they are a little overpriced and it could be for the area. The taste is just not there for Mexican for me. The rice is never cooked correctly (sometimes we get hard/old rice) and never has a good flavor to it. The flautas (chicken) doesn't have any flavor in them. However, this are cooked well, just not flavor. The tacos aren't bad, but they are hit or mess. Sometimes you can tell when the meat is fresh and not. Their salsa is not my favorite either. I do like their chips however, those are good. Sometimes I just get an order of those. I don't get taqueria style when I'm here. read more

Wonderful food, very friendly service and good ambiance. They played Bachata music and had Horata as a fountain drink choice. I had the Piratas which came with the cheese slightly melted on the bottom of the tortilla and 3 slices of avocado on top. Both chicken and beef were moist and juicy. Guacamole delicious too. Food: 5/5 always excellent. My mom got the Flautas, those were crispy and came with guacamole, rice and beans. I got the supreme taco lunch with ground beef, was delicious as always, and my sister got the supreme tacos with chicken. She said the chicken was great. I love the salsa options and warm chips. Service: 5/5 server was great! Always around to get anything else we way have needed and was kind and charismatic. Can't ask for better service. Good Mexican restaurant with nice size portions at a fair price. We ordered the 3 taco supreme entree with our choice of meat being the Molida (ground beef), Al Pastor (Marinated pork) and Pollo (grilled chicken). The meat and toppings were generous to the point of being overstuffed, which I liked, and served over a soft flour tortilla accompanied by both a spicy and mild sauce. The tacos were definately well cooked and tasty. The other entree we ordered was a 12 inch supreme beef burrito that was quite large and similar to the taco's in that they were overstuffed with ingredients. Again well made and tasty. Service was very friendly and and super fast where my takeout order was literally ready 2 minutes after I placed the order which is something to keep in mind if you are in a rush and looking for a restaurant that is a notch above fast food but you are short on time. The restaurant itself is clean and bright and has a limited number of tables for inside dining if that is what you are looking for. I would say overall a good Mexican restaurant and one that should be checked out if you are in the area but still a notch below the authentic restaurants I frequent during my winter trips to Mexico. The street side Dining carts/stations in Puerto Vallarta are still the Gold standard for me and I keep hoping one of these days I will find a local restaurant to rise to that standard! Got carry out from here a while ago. Need a fajita and red sauce enchilada every so often. We ordered the chicken fajita, red sauce enchiladas and chips and salsa, since my husband always needs chips and salsa if he's eating Mexican food at all. By far my favorite Mexican spot when I'm in Michigan visiting my parents! I always get the tostadas and they stay crunchy even with all the toppings! My husband loves the tacos and always orders more than he can handle. The service is great too. The food comes out hot and you're always greeted with a hello! Food wasn't good, the portions were generous and the food was a lot but it tasted just awful.

The place is full during lunch hours, but the service is quick so the line move fast, you know the place is good when there is a line during lunch. Tacos have more meat than usual , which is good. They are also spicier than usual. Even their salsa verde is spicier than others. I guess that's why it is call Al Chile Free refill for horchata. Some places charge by the cup which is bs. I was really excited to try a new place closer to home. The reviews made me sure this Mexican spot would be a repeat. However I was not happy at all, the saving grace was my husband and son loved their food. I agree it was tasty. So I ordered a taco bowl; no beans or rice, extra steak. The steak was gray in color, tough and chewy. It's as if the steak was old and had been reheated multiple times. It was horrible. No grill marks, no flavor, just gray rubbery meat. My son ordered a ground beef quesadilla and my husband a ground beef burrito. Both of their entrees were delicious. WHAT!!!! This place blew my mind. I ate all 3 Mexican tacos. One chicken ( tender & flavorful ), carnitas ( out of this world delicious & tender) , ground beef ( this made my tongue dance). They fill the taco with meat, they also come with cilantro & onions and pico with lime wedges. This is on a whole different taste level. They give you 3 sauces. FOR REALLY REAL!!! The green sauce is the spiciest but so too much just a little kick, the orange is delicious delicious delicious, the peppered spice was my least flavored. I will get all my tacos here!!! Please if your in the area of Haggerty & Maple rd come in and enjoy yourself. I did and I'm leaving with a tight stomach and a smile. Met my son here for a quick bite that lasted a few hours. I love to support the local business with takeout and delivery. Oh boy was I happy to find this little gem. Alchile Mexican Grill is a Diamond! This little gem is located in the Bloomfield shopping center. Ample parking too. My fiancé and I ordered takeout. We called ahead to limit contact with individuals and followed social distancing orders. We ordered the botana nachos with chicken and the asada supreme tacos. Wowee! We were majority surprised in a good way. Once we got home, we wiped down our plastic bag and transferred our food. Everything was packed beautiful and was extremely fresh. Sorry no pics, I ruined the beautiful food when transferring to my plates. We enjoyed the nachos and tacos very much. Can't believe this was the first time we tried this place out! Probably the best Mexican food I have had in Michigan. read more

Mexican Town in Detroit isn't always an option so I'm thrilled to have something that's semi-close and just a tad more expensive nearby my home. Pretty tasty place. I went here the night before Thanksgiving, to use a LocalFlavor.com deal that I've been holding on to for about a year now, and when we left the restaurant was packed. You order at the counter and sit, and then they call out your name to get your food. My mom and I ordered the chicken flautas and some tacos to split - you can choose different meat for each taco, so we got 2 steak and 1 chicken taco - as well as the Tres Leches cake, based on other reviews I've read here. All were very tasty. It probably didn't help that I had consumed Mexican food over the weekend (food truck in Detroit), as I thought the steak tacos were decent but not spectacular. The flautas, however, were excellent, as was the Tres Leches cake. Three tacos at about $6.75 total was a good price, too. Both the tacos and the flautas also came with free chips and salsa, and the salsa had a nice taste - not too spicy, and more like a pico de gallo. This place is in my parents' neighborhood, not mine, but I'd like to come back at some point when I'm visiting them. They also have Mexican Coke and other sodas/juices (next time I will see if they have horchata!), and the food was overall very good. read more

Really good food. Service was good and attentive, but my only complaint would be the music is cranked up too loud. I had the Achile tacos which were delicious and left me sweating! Buyer beware, they are hot! Also had the menudo, which was also delicious. My wife generally orders fish tacos at any Mexican restaurant and she pronounced hers delicious as well. Definitely a do again. We've also visited the quieter counter service location on Haggerty in West Bloomfield. Very good, too. read more

This is still my favorite Mexican place to go to. Anytime i'm in the mood for Mexican there is no question where I'm going. Why I love this place: The food is amaze of course, but it's also all fresh all the time. The prices aren't that much more expensive than Taco Bell (Yes, I know not technically Mexican) and instead of something that makes you sick your taste buds are taken on a journey of awesome and authentic. I came here 10 months ago and have been coming back ever since. I frequently bring friends here and every time I do they become converts. The food: I've ordered a few different items but for me it begins and ends with the marinated pork tacos supreme. Well, I stopped coming here early on during covid times because the food quality just went downhill significantly. Everything was so overly salty it was unbearable to eat. After hearing our neighbors were eating there recently, we decided to give it another chance. The last two times it seemed that the food quality returned. However, today it's clear the customer service was severely lacking. When I went in to order, the cashier in the middle of taking my order starts to talk to her colleague. I am wondering to myself if she is paying attention to what I'm ordering. She rings me up without confirming what I ordered. When I get the food, I think to check the bag to make sure I got what I ordered. When I opened the bag the queso lid Was not capped properly and spilled all over the food. It was also missing the side of rice and beans I ordered. I look at my tacos and it doesn't look right. It has flour instead of corn tortillas. I spend five minutes Cleaning up the mess of the queso All over the food. Then I go back to ask about the missing food and making sure the tacos were Made correctly . When I go back, I tell her that the queso spilled everywhere and it needs to be refilled, the tacos are wrong and it's missing rice and beans. She looks at me and says she didn't charge me for rice and beans. When she gets the order supposedly fixed, I ask her if she did the tacos Mexican style. She said I didn't order Mexican tacos, I ordered Supreme. I said "no I ordered a supreme burrito, and Mexican tacos." Meanwhile she starts chatting again with a colleague and basically ignores me and I just told her to forget it. On top of this, I let her know their radio was cutting in and out and causing unpleasant static in the restaurant. She said she would Fix it and never did. I don't know what her deal was but she certainly was not paying attention to the customer and I didn't appreciate how sub par the experience was. I've worked for years in food and hospitality and this unfortunately is not the way you win and keep business. Some of the best Mexican in the area! For a small location they offer a huge menu of authentic Mexican cuisine, and everything is packed with flavor and surprises. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and they grilled the cheese before putting it in the tortilla...sooo good! My only complaint is how small this place is, and they also provide a small portion of tortilla chips. It gets packed during weekday lunch hour. They offer bottled beverages. This place gives other local Mexican restaurants a run for their money. Azteca which is almost next door is decent but this place is totally different and totally authentic! Their food is very good and their menu size is fairly large, offering just about anything in Mexican cuisine. I tried their street tacos (Al Pastor) and they were fantastic! Their guacamole is top flight and I also tried their tamales, and my friends had a massive burrito and street tacos (carnitas)and they were very impressed with their food. Their prices are more than fair and represent an incredible value. Even though this restaurant is a long drive for me, it is definitely worth the trip. I will absolutely be coming back here. The interior is more utilitarian than elegant ambiance but that is okay with me since the food is so good and the prices are so reasonable that this restaurant essentially forced me to give them a rare 5 star. Also they are located in a strip mall with several cool shops around the restaurant including a Confection store, and a great ice cream shoppe nearby for dessert. read more
