We came here for the first time on Memorial Day. As we had just come back from a vacation in Mexico, we were craving some Mexican food so we decided to try here. It has a very simple but inviting atmosphere. The food smells good right as you walk in. It's very welcoming. We were greeted fairly quickly by our waiter who asked us if we wanted drinks I went with a rainbow margarita as that looked interesting. The drinks took probably 5 to 8 minutes. They brought out the chips and salsa pretty quick. The drinks came out. The margarita was ok for me. There were too many flavors that just didn't seem to go together. I would've preferred a standard margarita. It was ok not bad, but I wouldn't order it again. We placed our order for food. I went with the combination, dinner number 13, taco burrito and Chalupa. And we got a side of rice and beans. My wife ordered the vegetable fajita although the waiter told us ahead of time that the food was going to take a while as they were busy. It seemed like it came out in 5-8 minutes. It was fast. Chips and salsa are always good so those were fine. They gave us a couple of different salsa options which were good. For my food. The beef taco was really good. That was probably my favorite part of the meal. The burrito was chicken and was pretty good. Chalupa was not what I thought it was going to be basically it's a thin tortilla with a bunch of toppings piled on top of it that you just basically eat off of it with a fork. You can't pick it up and hold it as it's too heavy and the tortilla sits in sauce and other sides that then make it fall apart. My wife said her vegetable fajita was pretty good as well. The beans and rice were very average, not much flavor. Overall, the meal was decent nothing great nothing terrible just good. We may come back sometime as it is a nice place, the ambience is nice and the staff was great. But the food was nothing special aside from the beef taco that was delicious. read more

Definitely the most authentic mexican food around! It's very flavorful and super reasonably priced. I only knocked one star because the flavor of the marg was a little lackluster and I wish they had some sauces (not just hot sauce) to put on the tacos. Service and atmosphere were a 5/5. My husband and I came here for dinner and I have to say they have the best Nachos appetizer we have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. It came with beef, chicken, beans, lettuce, cheese, nachos and tomato. It was so delish! You can tell the shredder chicken was delicious and you can they marinated it very well. It had so much great flavor to it. If you are ever in Wixom definitely come here! The salsa and nachos were very good. The service was impeccable and very friendly. I also had a small frozen margarita that was very good. They have a painting on the walls that is so beautiful and very authentic looking. I actually think our waiter was the owner of this fine establishment! This restaurant is very clean, you can tell they take pride in having the restaurant very clean. We can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu. This place is definitely a must try and try again! We will definitely come back here when we are in the neighborhood again. read more

We came on week night. Not many customers inside. Looks like they have a lot of to go orderd. Service was fast and friendly. Got Birria tacos, pollo loco, margarita and modelo. Everything was perfect and so yummy. Free chips and salsa. Salsa was just ok but its free!! We will definetly be back. Been to maybe 6 or 7 local mexican places in last couple years and this one was the best. read more

This is a reliable restaurant. People are friendly, food Is good. Nothing that wows, always willing to be truly surprised. Some places it is up and down, I found this place to be a steady Eddy kinda restaurant. Enchiladas are my goto and this were solid, not spectacular, but I would eat it again (which I have). read more

Ordered carryout. Was 10mins late #1...... soggy hard shell tacos ... everything tasted like frozen chicken... flavorless and bland. Super let down. Might as well go to taco bell. Wont be back. We came here as a family and really enjoyed our time. The server was very friendly, gave us great suggestions and the service was super fast! We ordered 7 different plates and all of them were devoured. The food was so authentic. The margarita was just the right amount of alcohol to sweetness and perfect for the 4 adults. Have to say they do a very good job, courteous, polite and the food is excellent! Haven't actually had a chance to dine in but I live and work nearby, I have had ground beef tacos (I call gringo) flour shell lettuce cheese, they are stuffed with beef!! Every taco I have had, carne asada, el pastor, with cilantro and onion, soft corn tortillas. Have plenty of meat in all!! Definitely think if you try this place you will be pleased. read more

I've ate here three times now and every single time the food is amazing and the service is above and beyond. The servers are all on top of it, make great recommendations, are super friendly and are always checking on you. Each time I've ordered something different and there's not been one thing that wasn't delicious. It's very much a traditional Mexican food joint set up and it's just perfect for when you have a hankering for that good Mexican food. read more

How can people give this place 5 stars? ...unless they have never been to a real 5 star Mexican restaurant... Everything is relative. For me, This place does not rank among the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. Here's my rating: I got the fajitas, which I would give a 3.5 for flavor, 3 for quality, and 5 for quantity. They do give you a lot. Beans 3. Rice 3. Chips 2.5. Salsa 3. Cleanliness 2. The first wine glass they bought me was dirty and had lip prints on it. The waiter had a "so what?" attitude. Service overall was mixed: Host was a 4. He was Friendly. But the waiter was definitely unfriendly. I don't think he ever smiled. He gets a 2. Overall, I was underwhelmed. A 3 for this restaurant is fair. Maybe even a little generous. I'm unlikely to ever go back. Would not recommend unless your options are limited. read more

There were four of us for dinner last Thursday. Service was excellent Ambiance okay. I would rate the food 8/10 Margaritas were not that great (6/10) The worst part of the dinner was my sitser-in-law finding a small metal screw in her food. Lucklily she found it while cutting her food. The source of the metal screw was not explained very well. Besides, what irked me was the fact that the manager never came and apologized. Went here a few times before posting this review. 90 percent of the time, the food comes out wrong! No sour cream means no sour cream. The food is average and there is better food in the area. The old waiter is also rude. The environment is bad because they accuse you when the food comes out wrong. Stat away from this place! No, I don't recommend them. read more

Was recommended to us and did not disappoint. Did not stray far from the beaten path for our first time: enchiladas and tamales were both very good. Salsa served with chips was flavorful, but the star of the show was the mole sauce: fabulous! This was my third visit. I am in love with their red enchilada sauce. It is rich, and thick, and delicious. If enchiladas are your thing, this is a must-try. The food comes quickly once you order, so if you want to hang out don't order right away. Today I ordered Arroz con pollo but substituted the enchilada sauce on it because I have developed such a taste for it. The white meat chicken was tender, good quality.
