My son has been coming to Whole Child therapy for quite awhile now. He receives OT and Speech therapy. My son has improved tremendously and I don't think that would have been possible without his WONDERFUL therapist. He sees Miss Jackie for speech now. She is patient, compassionate, understanding, caring, gentle and loving. She has all the characteristics a child with disabilities needs. No matter what mood my son is in when he comes to his therapy she always manages to bring out the best of him. She has built a relationship with my son that she is able to deal with all of his emotions. Not only is my son fond of her but she has stolen my heart as well!!! I love that I'm able to sit in his session or wait outside if needed. Thank you Miss Jackie for all you do for my son and for all the kiddos at Whole Child therapy.

Hi, Unfortunately we are not in network with United Healthcare. Thanks for your question!

Is there a waitlist for OT with La care medical?

My child was referred to OT by her pediatrician as we have a multitude of issues we are looking to address. I received my referral and called Milestones to make an appointment. I was immediately met with a rude attitude from the person who answered the phone. I said my daughter had a referral and I needed to make an appointment. She asked for what. I said an OT evaluation, she said yes, for what? I gave a brief explanation of my child's issues and was immediately told my child could not be seen at Milestones, they did not need OT, they needed ABA instead. I'm sorry, but since when is a front office worker qualified enough to diagnose my child over the phone after an extremely brief explanation of her issues? Maybe the person on the phone was an OT, but this was not communicated nor was their response kind. I was dumbfounded. Having a child who is experiencing issues and needs specialized care is overwhelming in itself. I hung up and cried. I then called my pediatrician's office to relay this conversation and they were appalled. They told me to call the Chino location instead, but I was so taken a back by my start with Milestones that I asked for a referral to a different clinic all together. It seems from reviews that front office staff being rude isn't uncommon. I'm glad we took my daughter elsewhere.

A few months ago I…read morehad started having this pain in my hip, which slowly became a pain down my left leg, making it difficult for me to walk. I work standing up and I got to a point that not only could I not lift any weights and enjoy my workouts but I couldn't stand for any length of time. Eventually the pain got so bad that I couldn't sleep. This is when I knew that I needed to see a physical therapist. I chose to walk into Strive because a friend of mine had told me about them and they had really helped him as well. I walked and was immediately impressed with their nice clean facility. The front desk and they right away scheduled me for an evaluation appointment with their physical therapist, Jermaine, that same week. She sat down with me and listened to all my symptoms and quickly ran a series of test in an attempt to narrow down what exactly was going on. Of course I had googled my symptoms like we all do and tried the YouTube video treatments haha but I was glad to finally be in the hands of a professional. After she ran her test she determined that I might be dealing with a weak pelvic floor. She began her treatment giving a series of stretches and exercises that weren't going to make it worse and they seemed to help even just in that first session. Over the next couple weeks (I saw her twice per week) she slowly helped me progress to other exercises that were really helping strengthen my pelvic floor and my pain slowly began to improve. Every time I went in she asked me how I was doing and that helped me feel that she really cares about her patients. Here I am 5 weeks later and my pain is non-existent! I am so happy to be back to enjoying my everyday activities!

Our experience with Building Blocks Therapy 4 Kids ended up being incredibly stressful. When our…read morechild's primary therapy schedule changed, we gave this clinic plenty of notice that we could no longer make our usual slot. Instead of being understanding or offering alternative days, the clinic was completely rigid. The therapist suggested overlapping a virtual OT session with our child's other therapy. We were open to exploring this, but we explicitly told them we needed a brief phone call with the other provider first to figure out logistics and make sure it wouldn't cause double-billing issues with our insurance. Shockingly, the clinic refused to do a simple 5-minute coordination call unless it was during a paid, billable therapy hour. Because they refused to coordinate, we never agreed to the virtual session. The therapist went ahead and scheduled it anyway without our consent, and when we didn't attend, they penalized us with a late cancellation fee. When we tried to clear this up with the owner, her response was incredibly defensive and hostile. She actually and repeatedly blamed us for prioritizing our child's other medical needs, complained about which therapy was scheduled first, and even threatened to cut off services entirely. There was zero accountability or apology for their communication failures. Parenting a child with special needs is hard enough without having to deal with a provider who lacks basic empathy, refuses to collaborate, and tries to force unauthorized fees.

Incompetent, Nasty, condescending, passive-aggressive, and disrespectful owner…read more Oh, what a "shining example of professionalism"- Meagan- the Incompetent owner. Actually, the Incompetent owner Meagan is extremely unprofessional in her email communications and does not conduct proper assessments for the children in her care. The incompetent owner also fails to maintain consistent documentation or proper progress notes following therapy sessions. Instead, the incompetent owner lazily provides only a closing report, which is vague and does not clearly outline a child's developmental progress. Per her minimal requirement, the therapists do not appear to take detailed assessment notes during each session to properly track a child's progress over time. My child was under their care for one year and only two notes were documented. When I raised this concern, the incompetent owner sarcastically referenced "signature logs" during the discussion rather than addressing the lack of clinical documentation. It gives the impression that the incompetent owner's priority is not the child's developmental progress, but rather the COLLECTION OF PAYMENT from the Regional Center, parents paying out of pocket, or medical insurance. In my opinion, the incompetent owner lacks professionalism, compassion, and the ethical responsibility that should come with operating an occupational therapy practice. I would not recommend this company or this incompetent owner. Based on my experience, the incompetent owner demonstrates a concerning lack of professional ethics, accountability, and genuine care for children. I'm sure the incompetent owner will leave a condescending and passive-aggressive response below hence showcasing her character and directly demonstrating her sense of professionalism... or lack thereof. A class act... such is from an incompetent owner.
