I stopped by here for lunch while on a road trip and it was pretty good but didn't knock my socks off. It's definitely a good option if you're not looking for anything frilly (or are looking for inexpensive comfort food). I got the regular pulled pork plate, which comes with 2 sides and a roll. Alternatively, you can pay a little extra ($0.49) to put the meat on a bun for a sandwich instead of getting the roll. I went for the regular plate and for sides I got fries and a salad. My first reaction was, wow that's a lot of food. Let's just say I didn't finish it all! So this is definitely a good stop if you're starving. The meat was a little dry and didn't have standout flavor, though they have 6 kinds of barbecue sauce at all the tables luckily. Coming from NC, I have high standards for BBQ. The fries were fresh and tasted great (it's hard to mess up fries). The side salad was not just a cup of iceberg -- it was actually mixed baby greens which was a pleasant surprise. The roll was really dense (not in a good way) so I didn't really eat it. Price-wise, this place is a great deal. Really good after church bbq on a Sunday afternoon! Our group of four walked in before a couple dozen Boy Scouts, and the teens at the registers kept their composure. It was my first visit, and I tried the beef brisket sandwich. Meat was flavorful enough to not need the bread--I ill remember that for next time. In town visiting my daughter from Virginia so obviously you have to try some local BBQ. I ordered the Ultimate Platter so I could try everything they had, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, coleslaw, baked beans and a couple rolls. . The pulled pork was decent, ribs were really good, chicken was decent, brisket was really good, beans really good, coleslaw really good and the rolls are addictive. They have some solid bbq sauces on the table ready to go. Probably a sauce for everyone's liking. Worth stopping by if you're in the area. read more

This place has really good barbecue! My husband and I stopped in on our way to Florida for a quick lunch with our 5 and 3 year old. We shared the hog platter, subbed mac and cheese for potato salad and added burnt ends. Super moist and delicious meat! We loved the barbecue sauces on the table and our favorites was #4 spicy vinegar but their mustard sauce was also very good. The coleslaw was really good but the portion was small for the 4 of us so we ended up buying an additional side of it that my husband and I shared. The kids loved the pickle chips off the condiment section. All 4 of us ate for $24.50, we had water to drink. A great meal! The bathrooms were clean and the staff was kind and helpful also if we ever are back in Conway we will for sure stop in to eat here again! read more

After living in the Pacific Northwest for 3 years I was really excited to get back to the south for good BBQ and properly made sweet tea (not iced with sugar packets). My husbands Commander pointed us in this direction and said it was the best BBQ around so we went in for lunch today. The young man working the counter was very nice. He had a great attitude and greated each customer as they entered and wished them well as they left, which I havent seen a lot of in the 12 days we have been here. It was a nice touch. The tea is soooo good, but that was as far as my enjoyment went. The sliced brisket sandwich was 3/4 fat and even though the flavor is in the fat I do not enjoy a fatty sandwich. I tried 5 of the 6 sauces that were on the table and none of them impressed me. Two had so much vinegar in them I feel I could've dyed eggs with it. The potato salad isnt potato salad but more like chunky loaded ranch mashed potatoes. I was born and raised in Texas and I am sorry but ranch anything doesnt belong on a BBQ plate. Beef Brisket tasted a little on the old side and was room temperature. Beans were good. Coleslaw was room temperature, round have been better cold. Most likely use Sister Schubert's rolls which are delicious. Good choice of bbq sauces on the table, most with to much vinegar but I found a couple I like. Been here twice the first time it was very good. The second the meat was horribly dry. Both times the service was great. I may try it again but there are better choices in Conway. It helps if you do your best every time especially if someone is spending $40-$50 for dinner. read more

My favorite place in AR to eat BBQ. Their ribs (with oh-so-tasty sweet rib glaze) is my favorite go-to item. I also like that they offer the 4 Rib plate as a smaller option. The wife and kids love their pulled pork. The sides leave you wanting a bit more - coleslaw just ok although the beans are good. Fries not available. That's a shame as it would be a nice option to add to any gluttonous meal. Service is fast and usually friendly. Definitely a place to go if you're lookin for good BBQ. read more

We used to love Whole Hog but this Conway location was terrible. The pulled pork and brisket was incredibly dry and tasted more like cheap meat than the award winning barbecue this place used to be. They certainly wouldn't have won any awards with the meat they are serving from this location. Stay away from this location and thank me later. read more

We loved ordering this take out bbq! My DH and I both had the jumbo pulled pork sandwich plate with slaw and potato salad. The slaw was kind of meh. I liked it ok, but DH thought it was too peppery. The potato salad on the other had was fantastic- like a sour cream loaded style salad. Yum! The sandwiches were huge and had slaw on them. The plate came with two bbq sauces- we ordered #3 spicy and #5 sweet. Both were delicious. The bill was $18. The food was good, the service was accurate and fast, and there was a drive through window so I didn't have to even go in. We will definitely eat here again! read more

The food was very good as usual but, as we entered we were told to put on a mask. So before people start dogging me for the whole mask issue, several cooks were wearing their mask on their beards not their face another had it covering his mouth not his nose. I don't know why this place is still in business. I guess people around here haven't really experienced real barbecue. This isn't really barbecue. They just cook meat and give you squeeze bottles with BBQ sauce. Real barbecue is cooked and basted while cooking with barbecue sauce. The potato salad is just strange. They put sour cream or something in it. Not sure what part of the world this is common to, but I was born and raised in the South and I never ran across sour cream in potato salad. The last complaint I have is about their service. When I went there, I ordered my meals to go, about $30 for two basic combos. Instead of just standing there by the counter (because I know the wait is long sometimes in BBQ places), I decided to wait in my car, which was parked right in front of a plate glass window facing straight at their counter. I told the cashier I would wait in my car and pointed at it through the window and asked if she'd just wave when my order was ready and she refused. Never went back. read more

Just waited 45 min for an online order, for them to tell me that They didn't have 3/4 of the items. The girl told me that they declined the order a few minutes in, but "totally forgot" to call and tell us. They were very slow tonight, so that was very confusing. They still made us pay full price for the one item they had, and that still took another 10 min. They seemed very casual about the whole thing considering they made me wait a whole hour. I just picked up a 1/2 slab of baby back ribs/dry. Darned good meat!! Just wish they'd figure out how to make their sides as good. Price was right, ready when I arrived and no service probs. Just that cole slaw ...dry as a West Texas playa lake in June!! Hate to say this but KFC still has best coleslaw ever!! Potato salad was ok, nothing to hold up as anything I'd want much of again. I'll be back though... damn those ribs were good!!!I recently revisited for those wonderful ribs. As before ordered cole slaw and potato salad as sides. I must say they read my review from before!!! Excellent. Slaw was creamy and tasty.. potato salad was about as good as you can get this side of my grannies house!! Very good BBQ, and though everyone raved about the ribs, I opted for the pork platter. It may not have been the most fantastic BBQ I have ever had, but it was definitely very good. The pork was moist with good smoke flavor to it. The coleslaw was crisp and tasty without being overly sweet. Unfortunately the beans tasted as if they had come out of a can. Overall a very good meal, and would definitely go here again and have ribs the next time. read more
