Here's Dorie (sp.) sitting on the counter @ Whole Pets! Very sweet dog!

Taste of the Wild cat food isn't available just anywhere. Whole Pets and a few other stores in Boulder carry it. I also like that they have samples of various dry pet foods available. Very helpful. I especially enjoyed meeting Dorie (sp?), the young dog who sat up on the main counter, looking supremely content & comfortable. The price of Taste of the Wild cat food is a few dollars higher here than at the store where I usually go to get it; however I still really do like Whole Pets.

Always helpful, good range of healthy choices for my dog and cat. Lots of treats, raw foods, canned and kibble.

4 stars for the self-service dog washing! Be careful with the blow dryer - that thing is powerful and my dog freaked the F out.

The Oxbow rabbit food is way cheaper than the big box stores. I like their selection and customer service is always helpful and friendly.

They require $350 of training classes up front in addition to these fees and vet expenses. The dental info is not forth coming and could become a large liability since they reserve the right to remove the dog at their discretion for the life of the pet. They, also, will guarantee heart worm status. In addition, they do not hold a non-profit status. That says a great deal right there. One more insight, at the end of one of their handout about nutrition, they accuse vets for taking money for food recommendations. This is far from the truth, vets receive a discount from most pet food companies for personal pets, only.

Short: The owner…read more(Jeff) called to tell us our family was selected to adopt or our wonderful dream dog. After agreeing and sending confirmation that we did want to adopt... They decided to back out gave him to another family Long My wife and I made the wonderful decision to want to grow our family this year. We have been looking for dogs for awhile. After much deliberation and research, we decided an Italian Greyhound would be an excellent fit for the many needs of our little family. We spent time searching for an Italian Greyhound we could rescue, even contacting breed-specific rescues. Even though we are ideal applicants, we were told that these rescues are not receiving the same influx of greyhounds they used to, and we would be waiting YEARS if we were even lucky enough to get one at all. Within 24 hours of this correspondence with this other rescue, they contacted us. They said they had information of an Italian greyhound coming to the state through a different rescue. We were so grateful for their help and felt this was a special, clandestine experience we were having to grow our family. We placed our applications in minutes, called to confirm our family's application, and after a week of waiting I received a call that we were selected. This meant the whole world to our small family and felt like a calling from the universe. Instead, I received radio silence the next day... and was then followed by an email that they would be instead giving the dog to another family , even after we confirmed that we were selected. Why? Because another family (the foster) apparently was more deserving. What a heartbreaking decision by this company. After we have done everything right... the long hours of research, the arduous application, all the hard things to just simply want to grow our family taken away. How can an organization choose to get people's hopes up and break their hearts by saying we "made it"... only to just take it away. It isn't right or fair.

1 Star - Extremely Frustrating and Unethical Subscription Practices…read more I canceled my subscription with Only Natural Pet months ago, yet they continue to send me food and charge my account almost $82 each time. When I called customer service, I was told that I had "only canceled a delivery, not the subscription." Their website is extremely confusing and not user-friendly, and it honestly feels intentionally designed that way to trap customers into staying subscribed. The reason I canceled in the first place was because my dogs had to be switched to a different food. The only reason I even looked for an alternative was because Only Natural Pet's deliveries consistently took forever to arrive, leaving me waiting far too long for food I needed on time. When I called about the most recent charge and asked for a refund, I was told I would have to refuse delivery or ship the product back before they would refund me. While I understand policies, this completely ignores real life. Between work and daily responsibilities, the last thing I want, or have time, to do is drive to a post office, wait in line, and send something back just to get my own money refunded. That means nearly $82 out of my account for weeks, and in today's economy, that's money I absolutely need. On top of all of this, customer service was rude and dismissive, and I believe one representative actually hung up on me. I've worked in customer service my entire life, and courtesy refunds are commonly given, especially when the company is clearly at fault. This experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and financially damaging. I would strongly caution anyone considering a subscription with this company.

Then don't sell online!!!! Or actually purchase insurance to cover replacements including shipping Out of curiosity I went to the post office and the UPS store near my house and asked them the overnight shipping cost for the box they sent with water in all the bags and it was half what they charged for shipping costs Keep in mind they charged $15 for all the packaging material DON'T ORDER FROM THIS STORE Shop at your local store this company is a scam by using bait and switch tactics with pics, offloading undesirable female live bearers, poorly packaging the fish, forcing the purchase of useless insurance, and deflecting blame back onto the customer I asked how this would be if I paid the $60 shipping and packaging for the eel to be replaced and it also arrived dead they had no answer They may be nice in person but they have no problem cheating online customers

The space was shiny and new and there were a couple of dogs enjoying the wares with their owners. I was pleased to see items for both dogs and cats (though the store does have more dog items/food). Though the store did not include my cat's favorite local pet food (I & Love You) they did have dry, wet, and raw choices. The staff was really nice and we talked a bit about what it would mean to go with raw food and I was happy that they provided Dude (my female cat) a sample to try out. Since dental hygiene is a new concern I was pleased to see several items to choose from (peppermint spray, salmon or peppermint gel, powder, finger brushes and more traditional toothbrushes). Although a bit costly ($24.97) I opted to go for the PetzLife salmon flavored gel. It doesn't require brushing so that sounds great to me. With a money back guarantee I definitely see it as a win win for Dude & I as I do not want to go the traditional vet cleaning route with anesthesia (to note there are local practitioners that use acupuncture in place of anesthesia.) I was sure to sign up for the customer appreciation program (love those) and join their email newsletter list. I was also sent home with a couple of $2 off $10 purchase so my friends with pets can give this store a go. The staff is well versed in Western and holistic pet health. I highly recommend chatting them up if you are interested in changing your pet's food. Chances are they'll send you home with a few samples for him/her to try :)
