I have been coming to shaggy dog for several years now and today Ainsley did an amazing job helping me with my dogs and truly taking the time to listen to my issues and gave me her advice on products and her experience. Thank you so very much

We love us some Shaggy Dog! My pup Peach gets groomed about once a month, and we visit the market every couple of weeks for food and treats. Peach was rescued from a puppy mill and was so scared her first groom. They were gentle and patient with her, and now she gets so excited to go. They take great care of her, keep her haircut on file and we have great consistency. They helped teach me how to take care of her coat between groomings, as she's my first fluffy dog. We also use their dog wash stations. All the staff at the market and grooming are so nice. We love Shaggy Dog!" And love supporting a local small business

Bath time and she loved it.

This place is so great. The customer service is great the moment you walk in the door and the place is clean. If you're washing your pup, I recommend bringing your own soap. I wasn't a fan of the soaps they offer. Other than that, everything is great.

Everyone was so nice and welcoming. My pup gets very anxious and they were all understanding and accommodating to help him feel at ease. They did such a great job on my pups haircut

Okay, so this is a review for the Shaggy Dog in San Marcos at 200 Springtown Way Suite 126, San Marcos, TX 78666, but Yelp doesn't have a business up for that... Anyway, great place to take your dog for a bath! Absolutely loved that each bathing station was in its own room. Bonus was I found a cute plaid Christmas bow for my pup for upcoming holiday pictures. Would absolutely use this place again!

He got a treat for being a GOOD BOY!

They meow incessantly but are unashamed at being a circus freak show act for stray pets. I love them both. (Their names are Kitty and Kat (with a K for legal purposes). My Minor Bird has grown into a full fledged adult bird and Petco has been there the whole way, providing bird seed, and those chalk thingees that they like to sharpen their beaks with. My bird (now named Major) is happily engaged to the only other bird it has ever known "Bea." Petco has known Bea for six years but she came from parts unknown and seems to have a sketchy past. But Petco doesn't judge their pets and neither do I! In fact, we are holding the wedding for my two birds, the holy union of Bea-Major, at Petco just as soon as they release my aunt from the "institution." (She loves Petco and used to buy her kitty litter there even though she didn't own a cat. Now that's what I call loyalty!) Anyway, my snapping turtle is a rescue - having come from the Austin Snapping Turtle Rescue facility and we think he is fixed because he shows no interest in turtles that we show pictures of in the IPad. I know Petco is looking for Snapping Turtle Groomers so when you get one. Make sure to let everyone d know. His name is Sid and he's a nice little turtle so long as you don't get on his bad side. I find that he doesn't like booming rap music by L'il Wayne like other critters do.

Today I came in to the vet with my dog Tokio, who had matted hair around the tips of his ears which I was very confused about because it seemed like something else was going on under there. When i took him here, the lady at the front desk for the vet office was incredibly sweet and super nice, told me they were taking tokio to the back to cut his hair then keep updating me. She then came back and told me she thinks tokio got into a pile of ants and they bit him all around his ears (which makes sense because tokio is the most adventurous dog i know). Overall, the visit was super helpful. they gave us antibibotics, and a list of other ways to clean his ears so they don't get more infected.

It feels really amazing when I come in and see how well the slings I've dropped off are kept and grow. A lot of stores prioritize the spider being visible over the spider's needs, but when you look around the shop, it's obvious Gecko World puts the welfare of the animals first. I don't even keep feeder colonies at home anymore - not when Gecko World is so close and has all the feeders I need to feed my spider horde. If you ever get the chance to peak into the back room, all of the feeders - from mice and rats, to superworms and dubia roaches - they are all kept and fed immaculately. Marcos is also super knowledgable, especially when it comes to cresties, and has been around. I can't say enough good things about Sean and the crew at Gecko World, and I feel super lucky to have such an awesome pet shop near me! Making an appointment is easy, I can usually book for that same week. The staff seems very caring and they always take time to tell me how the appointment went. We previously went to PetSmart for grooming and had a couple of terrible experiences. Our dog would shake so much the moment we would walk in to the store, this doesn't happen at when we come to Woof Gang. We also love the toys and accessory selection here. Our favorite purchase has probably been the bells that hang on your door knob. Our dog learned how to use them almost immediately and it has helped with him alerting us when he needs to go outside. On to the bakery part, we came here to buy him some birthday treats. We really like the ice cream you can make yourself and the little treats they have in the buckets. We always love the no rawhide chews/bones. Unfortunately the actual "bakery" treats have been very disappointing for us. I asked how long they had been sitting out and they said a couple of days. We thought perfect and bought our dog some of the cookies. He was interested in their smell but couldn't bite into them. I couldn't even break them apart with my hands. We then tried with a knife and it wouldn't slice through. These cookies felt like they could have easily chipped or broken one of our dogs teeth so we ended up having to toss them. We will probably never buy another bakery item here. They are very pretty but too expensive for something that isn't edible or safe.
