We took both of our dogs this morning Harley & Odie...Both dogs were matted & had not been groomed in a year so they needed it badly. My dog Harley is quite a handful and usually needs muzzled to groom him. Allison took on Harley with no problem & we really appreciate you, Allison! Harley looks amazing! I called on a Friday afternoon to get details on self service dog wash for 2 dogs over 50lbs, what time is service available, what is provided or bring your own supplies, cost, etc, and last question, do customers need to book an appointment or this is a walk in service as I can easily book a time for tomorrow if space is available. The person providing this info was very nice and courteous and informative. With all the details, I planned to go by the following day since I was advised to just do a walk in and not make a reservation . To my surprise when I walked in and I asked if any of the self service showers were available, I was immediately told they were all reserved and none available for today. Are you kidding me? I would highly suggest rounding up the team and impressing upon each one what the correct process is and what should be communicated to prospective customers. Driving to your business for one purpose was a waste and time suck that could have been completely avoided. read more

We love us some Shaggy Dog! My pup Peach gets groomed about once a month, and we visit the market every couple of weeks for food and treats. Peach was rescued from a puppy mill and was so scared her first groom. They were gentle and patient with her, and now she gets so excited to go. They take great care of her, keep her haircut on file and we have great consistency. They helped teach me how to take care of her coat between groomings, as she's my first fluffy dog. While this establishment is beautiful and offers wonderful washes for you to do on your own, it's run by some of the rudest people I've ever come into contact with. Craig, the owner, called me weeks after my experience with his "store manager" at the Kyle location. I have a dog, new to me who has just started taking baths, he was never given that experience before. He is not a fan and when I showed up to my appointment, on time, as soon as I walked in the door my dog darted out when another customer opened the door. Not the other customers problem, the stores and was definitely unexpected. I ran around the parking lot, as he got out of his collar. I had to pick him up and carry him inside and he's almost 80lbs. None of this is the problem of anyone but myself however the young person who was the manager was extremely rude to me and then told me that my appointment would only be 40 mins, it was 1105, I was 5 mins "late" but because of a complete accident, but was still there on time while they watched me (them and the other associate) the customer who was checking out at the market actually laughed at how rude the "manager" was to us. I said, can you please be reasonable and let me have until noon like asked for when I called because my dog has so much hair, I can't do it in 40 mins, but I can in 50 mins (Which was approved when I called to make the appointment) She said no, even though the appointment was scheduled for an hour but I was late. I again, wasn't late...I was there and my dog escaped. Rather than just be compassionate because the store has three bathtubs, none of which were being used at the time. She just looked at me dead eyed and I said cancel my appointment then. I understand when you own your own store you can treat people as you choose but why would they treat their customers this way? I called back and asked her why she would act that way and then she changed her story saying I walked in 15 mins late and then my dog got out and that why I was offered 40 mins. If you change the story it sure does sound different. Please go to Pet Supply Plus in Buda...that is where I went. While I do prefer the rooms at Shaggy dog, the complete lack of sensitivity for the actions of their staff is unacceptable. I admit I was very angry after this interaction and told her that I thought her behavior was repugnant. The owner told me I called her a bit*h which, I did not and how dare you, btw. Craig, I hope this experience will save some other customers from being treated the way she treated me and my dog, on Christmas Eve. Trust me, you've received a lot of business from my word of mouth, that will now be sent to the superior market, who treat their customers better than y'all. While again, I do prefer your spot for its proximity to my home, I hope folks realize what they get, being treated like that when the manger is having a bad day and would rather be off on Christmas Eve than be decent at their job and helpful to their "clients".
