I brought the van in the next day for repairs, and while the issue ended up being a little bigger than anticipated and required additional parts, they went above and beyond. They put everything back together so I wouldn't be without a vehicle while we waited for the correct parts to come in. Once the parts arrived, they got me in the very same day. The care they showed--not just to me, but to my family--really stood out. It's rare to find a place that treats you like more than just another customer. Two points to make:…read more 1) Great mechanical service (5 stars) I've been to BAS approximately 5 times and the repairs were both done in a timely fashion and with excellent results 2) Customer Service (3 stars) In the 5 times I've had work done..... not once have I been called to give me an estimate of cost & time necessary to complete the job! Just a call on completion with a cost due and a review of what devices were completed. This last time (Tuesday), the car was towed there. A young lady took my wife's information and even gave her a ride home. We didn't hear from them on Wednesday so WE FOLLOWED UP! They didn't even know the car was there! We were told they would check the car for the estimate and call back....they didn'! Now I will have to wait until Thursday am to find out what's up! They cost my wife a days work/pay. She uses the car to do her job. She's off on Wednesdays and will lose Thursday's pay because they lost the car and didn't do the work on Wednesda! I'm sure they'll say "that's to bad".....we'll see.

I looked up 'MECHANIC' on Google and this is the shop that came up, the only one and clearly the best. It was after 4pm, I called and he literally talked me through what the problem was. We had the car towed, his shop closed it 6, he waited on us with the tow truck and did not stop until he found what the problem was. We did not leave until well after 6pm and not once did he express any type of aggravation or attitude. Very professional, kind, and affordable. The next day the car started to make a weird noise and we called and he had no problem informing that the part was under warranty so if need be, we could go locally (since we were back in Georgia) to get it replaced if need be. I was sharing a good cup of Lucky Goat Coffee when a friend of mine recommended this place. I was having issues with my Nissan Altima 2009 and I could not figure out what was wrong. The steering wheel was locked, but the car was powering up fine, so I assumed it was an alignment issue. I'm not a car guru, but I enjoy learning about cars, plus having close friends who are mechanics doesn't hurt. Mark works at Ridley's and he immediately addressed the issue of having a bad A/C compressor and a torn Serpentine Belt. Typically whenever you need a service completed and don't have the necessary parts, the dealership or shop will charge you an insane amount of money. What the general public doesn't know is the reason these places charge a lot of money is due to supply and demand. Fortunately, I bought the parts from Autozone and I only needed to pay for the labor. Having parts already in hand becomes a lot cheaper than having a place by the parts and charge labor on top. Mark was honest about everything and he was a very easy person to talk to. I arrived at the shop around 9:00AM and my service was completed around 1:00PM. Not bad at all for timing. And the price was a great deal. If you need a recommendation for a great mechanic, look no further. I highly recommend Mark and his team to anyone. I would not recommend Darrin's Auto and Tire Service based on my family's experience…read more My sister paid around $900 for what they said would fix her vehicle. After the repair, they apparently never took the time to verify that the original problem was actually resolved before returning the car. When the same issue remained, instead of standing behind their diagnosis, they claimed the problem was on the opposite side and wanted to charge my mother and sister even more because the first diagnosis was wrong. A professional repair shop should confirm that a repair actually fixes the customer's complaint before calling the job complete. If a diagnosis turns out to be incorrect, the customer shouldn't be expected to pay for the shop's mistake. Everyone can make an honest mistake, but how a business handles those mistakes says a lot about its integrity. This experience left us feeling like profit was prioritized over accurate diagnostics and customer service. I hope others ask plenty of questions and request proof that the original issue has been verified before paying for repairs.
