Gosh. How do I begin this review? It's funny. I had been thinking about getting double piercings on my lobes for years now, and today I said "y'know what?, Today is the day." And I started looking up reviews for different places, and backstory: I have trauma from the last pierceshop from a ln expensive, and painful helix piercing experience in the past that I was at the very least slightly apprehensive of getting this done even though it's something I've been wanting for a while now. --Cut to looking at pictures of the different studio spaces and of the staff doing their thing. I saw a picture of the people who work at this studio as a large group, and remember saying to myself "this one." "These are my people" --Along comes Kai. So sweet. So comforting, and so confident in what she's doing, the whole affair felt like a casual chat with a friend (while you're getting pierced mind you) She was thorough in her desire for the piercings I got to look symmetrical, cared about my opinion before moving forward, and was able to switch off between being professional and casual seamlessly and exactly where I needed to feel comfortable about what we were doing. I went to this shop last Saturday, I got my tattoos done twice here; however, this passed weekend I got jewelry for my industrial and daith. The lady that worked on me forced the taper into both my cartilage piercings. It caused a lot of pain and damage to my ears. I couldn't sleep on either of my sides. I reached out to the owner and didn't receive any feedback or acknowledgement. This lady was obviously not trained enough. I gave an 87% tip as my death kiss to never return. read more

But here at Why Not Ink tattoo, we discussed our worries with our previous septum experience and Hannah took her time to educate us, find the perfect sweet spot, and make sure everything was feeling right. I had the pleasure of meeting Kai today and she was an absolute joy! She was so sweet and kind and made me feel like I was in a safe space she took her time placing the dots, making sure they were perfect and took the time to explain everything to me and make me feel comfortable. I am a baby when in comes to pain which is why I am just now getting a second earlobe piercing. Idk what magic Kai worked but there was very little pain. I just finished a pretty large tattoo on my leg. Tis_Sam (Sam) completed it in 2 appointments. Her patience was so appreciated. My tattoo is so much better then I could have hoped for. Oh it took me 2 years to find Sam because I wanted an artist that does color. That can capture my idea. She did it ALL. Sam loves to tattoo color!! Look on her Instagram Tis_sam and see her work. As I was sitting in the first appointment, I met another artist that works there. His name is Bones. You will have to ask him how he got his name. But he was tattooing a guys back shoulders. The work he did was so cool. I never heard the client say ouch or anything. He also can draw amazingly. They both do piercings and if your looking for a shop this is the place. The best and most amazing tattoo/piercing place I've been to! Everyone is extremely sweet, respectful, and great vibes! You do not have to worry about any of them being under the influence while working because they do have a drug free zone rule (I'm not saying they do any drugs I'm saying while they work they are completely sober). I've gone to previous shops before and some of the works have been under the influence so it is a concern of mine but not here. This shop is extremely clean and sanitary! 100% I do not have to worry about catching anything! Not getting an infection (as long as I do my part of keeping up with the maintenance). I had gotten my nipples repierced by Hannah (1st time was at another shop and had to take them out because they never healed and started to look like they were getting infected). When I met with Bailey she was very friendly and hit the design I wanted out of the park! I've been waiting about 3 years to get this tattoo done. The service was awesome. My piercer was very nice and made it comfortable. However, the type of jewelry used was not the best. I got my helix, and lower lobe done. He used butterfly instead of flat back, leaving no space for swelling. It was squeezing so much I had to go to a different piercer for a jewelry change that was appropriate. The healing process was so tedious (still is! I got my piercings done in Nov 2022) and I was told by multiple professionals that it was due to the initial use of the butterfly back. I was also told that the piercing was slanted and the incorrect needle size was used. The piercer used 20G, its nearly impossible to find any high quality (and cute) 20G earrings for my helix. read more

If you're looking for a sign get your nipples pierced, this is it. Do it. And get Samantha. I got an appointment for the same day and whole process was fast, about 13-15 minutes. She made me feel comfortable, clean environment, and was knowledgeable about the piercing and it's after care. Day 1 I was a little sore (tight sports bra helped), by day 3 I stopped bleeding, and within a month I was fully healed and could move the bar around with no problem or pains. Today I dropped by the shop to try and take advantage of the Friday the 13th sale they had going. Of course I expected a wait, as anyone would with these sales, but when I went up to sign my name to wait I was told instead that me and my friend could come back in two hours, in which time we'd "definitely have slots available" to sign and wouldn't have to wait in the sun. We would've been happy to wait with everyone else but given the employee's guarantee, we decided to go back home for a bit. Upon returning, the same employee plainly told us there were no more slots for the day and there were new people that came after we left. I honestly have no issue with it being busy, it's the 13th, but because we were told there would be spots for us we didn't wait there or attempt to find a less busy tattoo place. So this may be a bit late, but I got a tattoo a year ago with Sammy. She did an amazing job. I spoke with her and told her the words I wanted and the font I wanted it to look like. She easily hand drew it and had it ready to go the day of my appointment. I live a bit far and got a little lost on my way there. I was about an hour late for my appointment and she didn't make a big deal about it. The tattoos came out well. I planned to get a Sugar Skull tattoo in October, but decided to wait. She had drawn it out and was waiting for me to pick colors, but I wasn't sure as to what colors I wanted to go with yet. I am still not sure yet. She hasn't pressured me about colors or if I wanted to get the tattoo yet and I really like that. I will eventually be getting this next tattoo and I know she will do an amazing job.
