Just wanted to share an experience we just had with a client, who, unfortunately, as good as we think we are, we cannot make everyone love themselves enough to choose happy and healthy. Being a life coach, I always try to help others to see the opportunity, not the problem or the mistake. Since this client stated, "Having accounts will all major review channels (Google, Yelp, etc.), I'm very familiar with their process." I see this as an opportunity to address each of these issues and illuminate every one of his concerns. Please find below how I would like to turn his lemons into lemonade. He writes: "Why Weight is an intense program known as the HCG diet that is designed for rapid weight loss based on low daily calorie intake. Note that the FDA strongly cautions against it." While the eating protocols are similar to those from Dr. Simeon who wrote the HCG diet, adding a hormone into your diet is not something we believe in. Our program is all natural with absolutely no drugs. He then went on to write, " Eliot and Clare bill themselves as "coaches" but in reality they are more like consultants." Here's the truth of it, Eliot and Claire are both ICF certified coaches. A consultants job is to consult, a coaches job is to meet his team on the field. This client was in contact every single day for 10 days and he lost 10 pounds. He went from 217.1 lbs. to 207 lbs. "I was on the program for two weeks and they didn't once call to see how I was faring which is surprising due to the aggressive nature of the program. In essence they weighed me, gave me a bag of goodies, and I was on my own." It would be difficult for me to know of his progress had we not been connected. The reason we know his numbers is because I texted him back every single day. "When I called them out on it, their response in effect was that they expected me to define the relationship and not the other way around." Had he asked for any extra support besides the morning text and the afternoon 3 pm text, we would have met him where he was. "In my mind, that's not the way coaching works. Just make sure you understand what you are getting before you sign up and make sure the expectations are well-defined." 105 pounds gone. Amazing! The fact that the initial loss of weight occurred quickly was miraculous and encouraging (40 pounds in 50 days). After that period on the extremely limited 'reduce' phase of the diet, the program required me to have a period of 'reset' on a diet with less restrictions on type and volume of food- and the goal of neither gaining or losing more than 2 pounds from my weight at the end of that 'reduce' phase. Though I was initially only grudgingly willing to halt my progress, I discovered that this was an incredibly important element of the program. Aside from any physiological rationale for this 'reset', it helped give me lessons (which I hope I will retain) in better eating habits (without the addictive pleasure of seeing the scale register weight loss). Moreover, for someone like me who, even with fairly rapid weight loss, faced a long daunting period of dieting, it was important to be able to look forward to these 'vacations'. Why Weight is everything they claim. With Eliot's help I was able to follow the plan with no cheating! I never thought I could completely give up bread and dairy for even a day. I did the plan in two twenty day rounds and lost a total of 20 pounds. I'm at my goal weight. Elliot was a huge help, I plan to keep texting him my weight every day forever. It takes a real commitment and it's difficult to maintain a social life - I usually scheduled things so that I would eat right before and then just know that I could not eat anything. I will be honest, i was very sceptical that this would work. I had never been over weight in my life until my late 40s. I could not drop the weight!
