Beware of their outdated policies - Disappointing Experience with Hayride of the Lost We purchased tickets for Hayride of the Lost, only to find out that it's unsafe for pregnant women. My pregnant wife didn't realize until after paying, but they have a strict no-refund policy. Their only response was "Give it to someone else." Where am I going find someone in 2 days when all the tickets are only sold online so they can charge a $3.50 service fee per ticket (about 10%) without issuing refunds and the tickets expire. This outdated policy is surprising for 2024. Think twice before purchasing! I won't be recommending this place to anyone I know. read more

$35 a person for the hayride is just insane. Went to the country store to get some donuts. At checkout the cashier mentioned I could opt for warm fresh donuts. They were an additional $4.25 for the same donuts and they aren't even in a package. Nearly $18 for 6 donuts! Never going back. read more

The last time I visited was on this occasion. The price seems to have went up to the tune of $44 per person for 4 events. You can get a VIP which includes jumping to the head of the line for $59. I have to admit that the lines were long. By the time we got to the 4th event we decided not to get in the long line for the Asylum. I will have to also admit that the first year was better because you knew what to expect the second time around. Especially in some of the places like the Mine Shaft and Haunted Hay ride but it was still fun. Also being able to sit by the fire, drink cider and eat a donut after the Hay ride was cool. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you have not been you should definitely check it out at least once. read more

Don't waste your money. This is so unbelievably overpriced and for nothing. It takes less than 5 minutes to get through each house. The hayride is about 15 mins. It cost $200 for 3 of us to go through 2 houses and the hayride. I'm appalled I spent that much for no scares. Aside from the houses it would be cool if there was some other activities or something. Night terrors is so well put together, with guests experience at the top of the list! As soon as we arrived we had staff making sure we knew where everything was, and suggesting to do the hay ride first so we could get through all the haunted houses with adequate time. The atmosphere is truly one of a kind! There were fire dancers, unicycles, ring acrobatics, bonfire pits, a karaoke section and scary monsters keeping everyone entertained! There was an abundance of security as well making sure everyone was safe. The haunted houses had amazing animatronics and a good assortment of actors. I have visited Wiards many times throughout the years and every time I'm even more impressed with the new animations and overall improvements they keep making! We had so much fun! I can't wait until next year to see what they do! read more

We went on a Sunday so we could do the four attractions with a slight discount. I appreciated the hayride that let you off at the End by a bonfire and complementary cider and donut. The hayride was probably one of the better attractions because it's just fun riding on the tractor at night. Add the actual scenery and characters and it's a good time. The asylum, The Mindshaft and the Haunted Barn all seemed to blend in together. With nothing being super distinguishable. A couple highlights were the Mindshafts shrinking passage ways and short doorways. The hayride had a spot where you stopped in a barn and an zombie did a huge leap with a chainsaw over the tractor to the other side of the barn. I liked the random characters walking around in costume. The store is another highlight for visitors because the haunted barn let's out inside of it. Serve yourself hot cider or a slush. Grab your sweets and pay on your way out. read more

Ok, I did have a lot of fun...But for the price, we paid about $60 for all of the attractions and it got you a fast pass to the front...Id have to agree that for the price, you might as well hit Halloweekeends. The hayride was fun, the houses were fun but short. I thought the last one (haunted asylum) would be scarier but it was kind of quick. I loved the cider and a donut after the hayride though. People working are friendly. At least the ones that aren't trying to scare you! read more

Please note that we never made it into the haunted houses. After hearing that Haunted Houses are a big deal around here--and as we've never been to one--we read about Night Terrors online. We each picked out one of the six attractions (me: the labyrinth, him: the clown thing). We drove the 20 minutes out to Wiard's along dark roads, and the parking lot was packed. That was a good sign, we thought. But getting up to the information booth, we were really turned off. Our two intended attractions, specifically, were only available if we each bought a $35 ticket. This was not information we'd seen online. Not feeling like spending $70 for an hour of entertainment, we left. On the drive home, we talked about the last time we came to Wiard's for apple picking (when we also left without going in; see my review), and what a terrible, rip-off feeling we get from this place. Note that there is an even pricier ticket than $35, and this allows you to skip the lines. This tells me that, had we coughed up the $35, we would have spent a LONG time waiting in lines and a short time enjoying the attractions. This place must think they're Disneyworld (not that that's a good thing). I checked their website today, and like last time, their website is very misleading. If you know what you're looking for, you can find the price. Otherwise, they make it near-impossible to tell. And that feels so terrible. It seems quite clear that their website is misleading on purpose, because people will drive out to see what the deal is, and then not want to leave without doing anything because that will be a waste of time, and so give in to these ridiculous prices. Likewise the two more appealing attractions are off-limits in case you buy admission to the whole place, allowing them to rake in even more money. read more

We drove 45 minutes here on a Saturday night and paid $38 alone just to go on the hayride. The hayride was short and designed to scare a toddler. The "monsters" didn't jump on the hayride or scare you at all. It was pretty lame. Just a bunch of terrible actors yelling "get out of my town." I think this place was much better last year. You can't buy tickets online anymore. To do all four attractions, you mine as well go to Halloweekends and enjoy a day full of rides. If you want to stay indoors, Erebus is definitely better. read more

Racists! A group of 7 people (including myself) came to Wiard's. The property consists of maybe 6 haunted house. We were having a great time until we entered one of the last haunted houses. An employee in there was extremely rude to us (a few of us looked clearly middle eastern). I brushed off the rudeness until the employee said "i wish a bomb would just drop on all of you right now." Taken aback, my husband asked why? The employee's response, in all seriousness, was "because I want you to die." Some people in my group thought that might be part of the act, but i knew better. I called the next day and spoke to the director. I asked for the transcript of what the actors are supposed to say. As i suspected, what he said was completely out of line and inappropriate, which the manager, Kelly and director, Brandon, agreed with. I gave a description to Kelly of what the person looked like, she said that sounds like who she and Brandon were thinking of. Couple days later, Brandon called (he left a voicemail), saying he looked into it and with my description, they were not able to find out who said it. Basically, the case was closed for him. I, on the other hand, felt very wronged. I find it hard to believe that with my description of the person, the time/place it happened, he cannot figure out which employee i am talking about. Out of respect for myself, and my friends and family, I told him I wasn't going to simply let this go. A few days later, he called again and said he found the person (BS) and they've let him go (also BS). Mind you, he called on Halloween, the last day of the season lol, gee thanks for letting him go. Wiard's is fine if you're okay with racist bigots. Otherwise, steer clear. read more

I'm torn... it was really well done, decor was cool and good quality, staff was great, characters walking around did a great job (it would be great if there were a couple more of them). Hay ride was a lot of fun, haunted houses were cool, could have been a little longer but they were fun. The cost was high though. For the bundle and a paintball session it was about $45. Two adults with just hayride, six kids with the bundle, was $310 for about an hour and half of activities. On one hand, that's about the price of a kids party at one of those bounce places albeit for a bit larger crowd. On the other hand, to take our kids and a couple friends out for two hours $300 is a bit steep. I'm glad we went once and the place did a good job but for a few hundred bucks I would hesitate to come back a second time. Good job on the whole set up though and I hope they do well. read more

Holy cow! I have never been to a haunted house, and I am 45, so I went with my husband and teenagers. I loved it. It was scary, I screamed the whole way through but it was so well run and super fun! I went in Asylum. There are other haunted houses and a haunted hay ride to try. Super expensive though. $18.00 per person per activity. Yikes! read more

Very well run theme park. Advice would be to go on a Sunday for a discount and buy the VIP pass for all 6 attractions. There is also a free country fair pass that comes along with the VIP option. Scariest ones were the clowns and the asylum. I've never been on a haunted hayride before so I thought that was pretty fun. They also give you a free sugar donut and a small cup of cider after the ride. I had to take one star off because the zombie paintball was not what I expected. They gave you so little time to shoot. In my mind, I thought it was going to be something where you would hit the "zombie" and they would fall down and "die" and more would come out. However, it was just three "zombies" walking towards a whole bunch of guns and it was over even before you were able to use up all your paintballs. Overall, it's worth it if you are a newbie at haunted houses. read more

I would recommend going to Night Terrors on a Sunday, so the admission prices are cut in half. I would've been very disappointed if I paid full price. I also recommend buying the 6 attraction pass, so you can get the full experience. I would consider it pointless to go there for only one attraction that lasts 10-15 minutes. Definitely spend the extra $10 for VIP passes. First, it allows you to purchase tickets in a shorter VIP line, whereas the regular line would take at least an hour. Also, it includes a free daytime Country Fair pass (usually $14.75), 40 extra paintballs, and most importantly, you can cut in line at all attractions. The VIP pass really pays for itself. 1. Alien Clown attraction was my favorite. It was very smoky and hard to see in there, which increased the excitement. 2. Splatter town was overrated. There was no difficulty in shooting the zombie, as they walked right up to you 3 feet away. Don't buy extra paint balls! You won't use them all in time. 3. Hayride was more interesting than scary. They have a cool old town set up. You get a donut and small cider included. 4. Asylum was pretty creepy and very difficult to find your way out at the end. We ended up in the employee office somehow! 5. Mined Shaft was more of an obstacle course getting through passages mimicking a mine. 6. Haunted Barn was the creepiest. It was like a small town serial killer haven. Go here last because the exit leads to the store where you can buy cider, assorted donuts, caramel apples, pies, and much more! Tip: don't be the one leading the group in the attractions. The people jumping out at you sometimes have a delayed response and you will miss getting scared. Overall, it was a fun way to kill a Sunday night, but one time was enough for me. read more

We went on a Sunday, even though prices are half price it was still very expensive. $40.00 a piece. We opted to get VIP so we wouldn't have to wait in line. It was worth it. The Alien Clown was good, we liked that we couldn't see and became slightly disoriented. The paintball wasn't very fun. We were vip so we were told we got extra paintballs, not sure if that was true. It didn't matter though bc they don't give you enough time to shoot and use them all. They should put VIPs in the middle bc that's where you can get a better shot. The hay ride was a huge disappointment, it wasn't even slightly scary. At the end we were given a yummy donut and a half glass of cider. More cider should have been given. The asylum was decent. I liked the part when we became disoriented, but again it wasn't scary. I also really enjoyed the teeth cheek doctor. He was pretty good! The mindshaft was aright. Nothing to write home about. The haunted barn was decent. I felt like it was the most realistic. The store for goodies was fun. The slushy machine was down, the cider was hot but needed to be more spiced. The hot cheese bites were stale. I haven't tried the caramel nut apple or jerky yet. Good donut options, they allow you to mix and match. The karaoke was fun to watch! I loved the fire breather. The tree was great too! I think this would be good for kids, not adults. I won't be returning. read more

I went to night terrors. I did karaoke there. The hayride was ok 2 out 4 stars, haunted paintball 2 1/2 out 4 stars, alien caged clowns haunted house 2 1/2 out 4 stars, mined shaft haunted house 3 1/2 out 4 stars, the ultimate barn 4 out of 4 stars, the asylum 4/4 stars. The whole experience I would give it 3/4 stars. It was really fun I'd recommend it. In the ultimate barn haunted house there was awesome animatronic at the end of the house that was scary and so great. Parts of the haunted attractions were scary. read more

It's pretty fun, and there are some scares within the houses. Asylum and Mined Shaft were the scariest, the best in my opinion. I went a few years ago, and I thought that the park itself was beter. Worst hay ride ever. Lasted no more than 10 to 15 minutes maybe 5 to 8 workers scaring you the whole time. Zero hay on the hayride. $20 a person we had a group of eight people so $160 for nothing what a joke!! I'm giving this a two star, however readers should note that our group only participated in the hayride. While waiting in a rather long line a couple behind us informed us that Wiard's had invested $30K into the hayride activity in an attempt to improve low ratings. I will agree that there were some impressive props along the way but... NOT SCARY AT ALL! In fact, a couple sitting next to us had their 3 and 6 year olds with them and they weren't even scared.
