My husband has a family tree with the 3 grandkids birthstone colors in the hearts. My tattoo is our youngest grandson Rio whowho is born with Heart complications. He was born on the same day as my grandmother who was born in Buras, Louisiana. Along with a lot of my family. I designed what I wanted and Rex did both of our tattoos. My son wanted a tattoo for his birthday. I chose Wicked 13 because I knew they are extremely professional and the quality of the one artist I know there is great. My son is under 18 so I had to be there with him...like I was gonna miss that one regardless lol. During the tattoo (of course he wanted something on the larger side), He started to get nauseous and looking a little pale. Tracy did not miss a beat at all. He stood by my son the whole time while the lovely amazing ladies at the front desk got him juice, a wet rag, and even a fan and they all stayed with him until he felt better. Turns out he didn't eat lunch at school because he was nervous. It's my fault, I kept messing with him for days saying how bad it hurts. Oops... didn't think he took it to heart. Make an appointment ahead of time - this place is poppin!! The lady that answers the phone is a total sweetheart, eager to help and accommodate. We called about 10 other tattoo shops trying to make an appointment (for a minor) and everyone rudely stated they didn't accept minors and hung up. Not this place!! They were so welcoming and even worked us in. Prices are in line with all the other reputable shops. Great atmosphere, very clean. Staff is nice. My daughter is happy. Missy did the tattoo. I went in and did a consultation for my tattoo. Talked to the owner about doing my tattoo at 10am. He agreed to do it at 10am for me. I put down a deposit for the date. The afternoon before the appointment, I received a phone call stating that Tracy (the owner) is sick and to reschedule my appointment. So they rescheduled it for 15 days after. I received a text a days prior the appointment to confirm it and I did. And I also received a text confirming it. The day of the appointment I was there waiting at 9:50am. I called the shop a handful of times but no answer. I waited until 10:40am and no one showed up nor any phone call, so I left. I called them at around 11am. Finally someone picked up and I explained what happens. Without any apologies, the person on the phone said she'll contact Tracy and will call me back. At 11:40am, I headed to the shop to see what's going on. Got there at noon and talked to the person at the front. She said I was going to call you back. That's was an hour ago! She said he is sick. That's why he wasn't there. I told them it would be nice if they would've given me a call, instead of me sitting and waiting for almost an hour my appointment. The older lady that was also at the front desk said that people do get sick and I told her that I know but y'all should call me and let me know. So I asked for my deposit back! Still with no sincere apology for their wrong doing. Probably not Tracy (the owner) fault but the staff that was in charge for informing me. read more

Walked in to make an appointment so I could get Roman Numerals of mine and my wife's wedding date. Didn't expect them to take me as a walk-in and they were all for it! Super clean place and i didn't expect it to look so nice. I took my 3 year old son and my wife and they had them come back to watch me. While I was getting tattooed, the guy behind the counter was a huge Pokémon fan and so is my son. He gave my son a Pokémon water-temporary tattoo that my son loved! The price wasn't that bad but I'd take quality over quantity any day considering this will be on my body forever. I had originally gone in for a consult for a tattoo. I had heard nothing but good things about an artist there and I followed him on Instagram so I really liked his work. I walked into the store and he wasn't there, no big deal! As I was walking out I figured I drove all the way here so I might as well get something so I walked back in and decided to get my nose pierced. The piercing went okay but immediately after the guy didn't tell me anything about aftercare. It was my first piercing and I had no idea how to take care of it. He just took his tip and left. Then 2 days later the stud fell out. I tried to put it back in but the stud was angled and short so it wasn't going through all the way. I ended up going to a place in Slidell that does JUST piercings and they informed me the stud was not the right size and they were baffled as to why they would put a shit piece of jewelry in. Anyways fast forward a day I called again to schedule my tattoo appointment. The lady was incredibly rude. She was trying to put me down for Sat March 14th instead of Friday the 13th that I agreed on with the tattoo artist. I informed her that I had to work and she said she'd talk to the artist WHO WAS IN THE SAME ROOM AS HER. So she hung up on me. I called back and said don't worry about it, I'm not interested in giving you my business. Now a really good artist isn't getting business from me because of a shitty tattoo place that he works at.. I've been looking for a new tattoo artist for awhile an have been all over town! I think when it comes to something permanent go on your body you should really take your time and pick wisely! Me and Marielle went to 5 places looking at artist personal books in the shops and I found my guy! Matt Lettau you the man!! I made a appointment for two weeks later and they asked me to emailed them the art work I wanted and they would have it ready on the day of the appointment.. Their is a 40 deposit but I think that's for people that flake out and don't show up,,you need to know they are putting in time to be there for you! So what did I get! It was my families crest an I absolutely love it! Amazing lines and the color is on point! I'm already looking at future art work since I want a sleeve so I can't wait to go back! I would NOT recommend this establishment for piercings. How do you botch a piercing and only offer me the option of getting a new piercing at that shop? How and why do you all think that is acceptable? ---- I probably should not have allowed the piercer, Bree, to work on me when she seemed antsy and stated "I have a lot going on" but I too had a lot going on in my life - and I wanted a piercing. Today, 3 days after my tragus was pierced by her, I am in pain and the area surrounding the piercing is extremely swollen and bleeding. I called the shop to inform Bree of the issues I have been having only to be accused of being rude. All I did was inform her that, as I expected during my visit due to the difficulties she was having screwing on the ball, that she probably used the incorrect size earring (I.e. the stem was too short... she herself stated "wow you have a thick tragus" yet proceeded to use the wrong size earring). I was also accused of causing the earring to fall out due to how I might have been cleaning it which was also not the case because I had not been turning the earring due to the pain. I was simply spraying it with he solution I purchased from the shop and allowed it to air dry. Now I have returned home to NYC in pain and with an ear infection. I thought that the ball of the earring had fallen out, however having gone to another piercing shop in NYC to see what was wrong I learned that the ball had not fallen out but I fact lodged itself in my ear because it was too small! The piercer at this shop mentioned that the person probably should've use a longer earring stem. And that it was too close to my ear -- I am assuming that she pierced it at the incorrect angle. After looking at what was painfully removed from my ear I agree. I think a skilled piercer would've known and should've known to use a more appropriately sized earring. I also didn't appreciate her telling me I was rude before listening to everything I had to say. I can admit I was upset but I was not rude in anyway. It was like she was on the defensive for her wrong doing from the moment I said that I was in pain and that the earring had possibly fallen out due to her inserting it incorrectly. I was the client. Her customer service and attitude was poor. I was hoping to get a refund of some kind, but according to the manager who I spoke to after I called back, that isn't an option due to the paperwork I signed. The manager offered me to get another piercing if I were to return to NOLA, however I probably would not return to that shop. I still think a refund is warranted because the problem was that of the piercer, the employee at the establishment. I had to completely remove the earring because my lobe is swollen and the infection (Note: I have multiple other piercings and have never had an issue). Thus, I'm down $50, in pain and with a swollen and infected ear. I was informed not to re-pierce that section of my ear at least for another 3 months. I guess it's my fault for going to a novice piercer... for asking after the piercing was done and not before how long she had been piercing (she informed me 2 years). I am so upset that a simple piercing turned out to be such a traumatic experience. If the swelling in my ear ensues and does not reduce and if the infection worsens I will seriously consider consulting a lawyer. read more

I got my first tattoo this weekend and could not be happier with my tattoo or the entire experience for that matter. Stacey was my artist. She welcomed me in as a walk-in, listened to my ideas, took notes, and really seemed to care. She showed me ideas off the Internet to give us both clarity on what would work best for me. I was there close to closing time and no one seemed bothered and honestly I was shocked to even get my tattoo the same night! Bree is the best. I've had good piercers and awful piercers and I can tell you for a fact that Bree is neither. Bree is on another level. Bree is the patron saint of piercing. I went in for a forward helix. She helped me find the best spot for optimal comfort and cuteness. I love it. Might be my favorite piercing yet. Then came the time for the actual piercing. She put all the thoroughly sanitary tools down on a thoroughly sanitized table, pulled on some gloves, and got to work. It was seamless. I don't want to mislead anyone with different ears, pain tolerance, piercing spots, etc. but I didn't feel a thing aside from the usual vague pulling of a needle going through your flesh. The whole thing probably took 5 minutes. Aside from her perfectly timed reminders to breathe, she was calm and quiet as she did her needle-fu because she is a master of the craft. If you are still doubtful, consider this: Her name is portmanteau of Bruce Lee. A few days later and my lovely little forward helix is healing well. Once I finally got a hold of him on snapchat I laid out exactly what I wanted in full detail and was ready as soon as he had an opening, I didn't really care about price pretty much inviting him to take my money. But he acted so uninterested in even doing business with me which I didn't understand, it was so weird to me. He gave me no feedback at all. I tried reaching out again to see if he had an opening coming up and he dryly responded "unfortunately no." I'm thinking like wow that's it you ain't gon say when you have one available or if you even interested in doing my damn tattoo. Good experience. On a recommendation from my kid's babysitter, I visited here. I came in with pics and Matt drew up something based on my pics and description. I'm not so great at explaining things sometimes, so when I went back to review, while it was nicely done, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I had to reschedule, but Matt took the time to draw up another sketch and nailed it. He worked fast, his lines are super clean, and he's professional. He really cares about the quality of his work. The shop is also very clean and sterile. It's probably the most well done tattoo I have, and the price was very reasonable for a large back piece. I'll be back for my other ones for sure. read more

Made me scared to get a second tattoo but after looking at all the photos of ink that this team has done, and seeing how they enjoy tattooing by the Facebook post... I had to do it!!! And man was I glad I did!!! My boyfriend and I both got tattoos for his 18th, and they were so crazy happy to resize his tattoo and replace the stencil like five times to make sure he was happy! No annoying comments, or eye rolls they were just happy that they could work with us to make it a great tattoo!! Not to mention they let me sit with him when he got his, and they let him sit with me. His dad even came along and they were so great with him taking pictures of it. Best ink shop ever. Going back in the summer to get Traci to help me do a custom side tattoo. Amazing work by Tracy at the 2017 Tattoo Expo in Arlington Va. He was able to take my 31 year old faded out Marine tat and re do it like brand new again. I had talked to other artists in the area who wouldn't touch it. Told me to leave it alone and just let it fade out. Tracy is obviously a true master of his craft, took on the challenge and nailed it!! People give me compliments on it all the time and can't believe it was redone the color and detail is incredible. I wanted to wait until I healed before I left a review so now it's been a week and I haven't peeled much at all so here's my review...I found this place after a not so pleasant return to a very well known tattoo shop on Frenchmen in the city. In the photo the center orchid was done at that location. I needed to complete the tattoo and since it was my bday I went last Monday. After a disappointing visit to Frenchmen(they need to fire their counter girl) I yelped and found Wicked 13. Located in a very nice plaza and just as nice inside as it looks outside. Clean and nicely adorned with samples of work. The blue and orange orchids were done by Chris. AMAZING color!!! Very patient. These ones hurt worse during the tattooing than my center orchid, however, they hurt a lot less afterward. I paid the same for BOTH orchids as I did for just that 1 center. Crazy. Chris's work is obviously worth more than he charges. All of the artists there and the girl at the counter were very friendly and professional. This place is underadvertised. Hidden. Find it and you'll be glad you did. I'm beyond happy with my tattoos and it now looks complete. read more
