We stayed at a B&B in Wytheville and this was walking distance away. We loved their juicy IPA and it is one of the best we have ever tasted. The food tasted freshly cooked. We had yummy burgers the first night and came back the second for mahi mahi tacos and fabulous soft beer pretzels. The service was pleasant and attentive. If you like craft beer and beer food, this is the place to go. Like a lot of beer halls, the place is spartan and somewhat reflective in sound which fits the purpose. read more

We stopped in Wytheville on a road trip as our halfway point and stopped into 7 Dogs since it was a short walk from our hotel. When we first walked in, it was really quiet and the main room didn't have the best vibe. However, we saw it was Music Bingo night and were led to a different room where the game was taking place. This room had a much more lively feel to it with several tables filled with people. It also had its own bar. I ordered a flight and enjoyed all of the beers I tried. My favorite was the boysenberry sour. We also ordered a few appetizers to share, which were just okay. The potato chips were extremely salty and the fried pickles were dripping in oil. This place is great. The beer The food is enjoyable. I must say our waitress was great, but she was all by herself. Also, only one person in the kitchen. The restaurant was reasonably busy and she was running her butt off. I really hope mngmnt and ownership can find a way to staff there established so their employees can avoid being run to death, berated by rude people who don't understand the situation, and so that food can get to customers in a timely manner. I stopped here once in 2005 for some dinner and a beer. It was amazing. I will always recommend to anyone passing through.

We popped in today with a group of 7 and we were seated promptly. Our waitress was attentive and took our drink orders shortly after sitting down. Unfortunately, no silverware or napkins were brought to the table and our food took quite a while to arrive. This wasn't super surprising as we had a sort of large group, but when it did arrive, there were multiple errors and items missing. Our waitress was quick to fix everything but it was a little frustrating after having waited so long to have our food arrive wrong and cold. We had to go to the nearby bar to grab napkins for ourselves and ask for silverware to be brought. That being said, the food was okay. I was disappointed- the last time we'd dined here everything was great! There was a weird vibe throughout, kind of like no one really knew what they were doing mixed with a surprise there were customers coming in to dine. Stopped in while we are here for the night on a road trip to GA. I'm a dog lover so of course I needed to see what the 7 Dogs brewpub was all about. We walked in and was greeting by the single employee who was the hostess and only waitress. Jessica was very nice and very attentive for how busy they got all at once. 3 tables came in all at once. We each ordered a beer. The 20 hounds was delicious. The scotch 80 was also delicious. We got an appetizer to share, the Irish Nachos with chicken. The food was good, however I will say I wished the food was warm. It was served room temp. The place is decorated with HUGE portraits of dogs. The place wasn't very busy, they had that small rush of a few tables all at once but cleared out quick. If we are in the area we would come back. The beer was good!! read more

The food is ok, but it's all frozen, pre made items. This was our 4th visit and probably our last. Every time there has been a problem with the kitchen/wait staff. This time, our food came out, entree first, then a salad was brought out, then last was out appetizer. The waitress didn't understand to offer dipping sauce for chicken tenders. I've seen her there before so it's not that the staff was new. We've had wrong orders brought to the table, have had to wait over an hour for food another time. It's definitely a gamble on what is going to go wrong, but it's almost a sure thing that something will be incorrect. read more

I hate to give less than 5 stars because the food and beers were excellent. We took our dog after seeing all the pet friendly reviews. Our dog was welcomed but we had to eat outdoors in a nice area outside. Waitress greeted us and loved on our porch and asked if he liked bacon making us think a treat was coming. Never happened. We placed our beer and appetizer order and beer came out right away. We ordered our meals (hamburgers and Gumbo) We recieved our food order but no appetizer yet. About desert time our pretzels and beer cheese arrived. The waitress said she was sorry about the delay and would comp the pretzels...Great. The bill came out and the pretzels were not comped but discounted like 10%.. big deal. Still the food and beer were excellent. I ordered a Gumbo to go and waitress said she would add it to bill and run my debit card. Waitress brought the revised bill with 2 Gumbo orders to go. We'll the Gumbo was very good. Tipped and signed the ticket. Since we were outside I had to go inside to pick up my to go order. Inside the to go order was nowhere to be found. Waitress #2 asked who was our server... I couldn't member but I had a ticket in my pocket and gave it to #2. She looked over ticket and said that there was no to go Gumbo on ticket. I said that the ticket i just tipped and signed had the extra Gumbo. Since we ate outside..I had to go back outside to get the signed ticket and return to proove that I paid for what I said I paid for. After all this proving my integrity the Gumbo order still not ready...in fact had not been ordered by waitress #1. My husband and I stopped here during an overnight stay Oct 31st enroute to S.C. We visited this restaurant last year also and liked it. If it's warm enough to have their patio open you're welcome to bring your dog along. The restaurant has a good vibe, friendly and great service. Food is good. They have a variety of beer, but no wine which I would have enjoyed a glass. All in all I would rate this place a 4 out of 5. We will stop here again. read more

This is a good spot when I come to my hometown. Lots of positives from service, atmosphere and good craft beer. I would give them a higher rating except all of Our food was Luke warm. We had wings, good but barely warm. The absolute best flavor on the potato soup and it was not warm enough to eat, we sent back and the retuned bowl was warm not hot. We could not understand ! The BBQ sliders are a great concept with nice toasted buns, and crisp onions and Luke warm again. One issue but a big one on a cold mountain night. read more

I'M GOING BANANAS! Great beer and delicious food. Go for the tacos, sweet potato fries and you can skip the pickle chips. BEER: Going Bananas (banana stout) is one of the best stouts I have ever had! Banana is strong and tastes fresh and adds creamy backbone to the stout. FOOD: Both the shrimp taco and mahi mahi taco were really good. The sauce with mild spice made the dish! We preferred the shrimp tacos. My daughter ordered the Mac 'n Cheese and it was ok. It was creamy but a little bland. We ordered the fried pickle chips for an appetizer and they were ok. ATMOSPHERE: open space with tables spread out. They brew on-site and you can see the equipment through windows inside. Very clean. Paintings of dogs hang on the wall. 7 Dogs Brewpub has become my favorite respite during regular jaunts up and down interstate 77. "Dog friendly" is an understatement. We just had an outstanding experience with my furry friend Sage. We were greeted promptly, shown to a booth away from the other dog in the restaurant at the time, and received outstanding team service! Anna is cutting her teeth into the restaurant industry. Her energetic desire to ensure the guest is cared for is REFRESHING! She loved on Sage and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Sage's grilled chicken breast was gone in an instant, and she would have made quick work of my Buffalo wings had I not gotten to them first. The wings were large, plump, juicy, and full of flavor. Anna ensured that Sage had a huge bowl of water, and my drink was never empty. Sadly, I did not get Anna's teammates name. Both of them worked the busy dining room helping each other provide outstanding service. We WILL be back!! read more

What a cool spot this COULD be! No option to sit at a bar is a bit odd for a Brewpub but that's ok we squeezed into a booth. We were excited to get a flight of beer that was decent. We had been traveling for 4 hours and were starving. We started with the Irish Nachos. It was most definitely not beer cheese as I bet it was Costco nacho cheese right out of the can and I mean right out of the can because it was cold. The chicken was also cold that the shredded cheese on top wasn't even melting. The waitress did ask if we wanted them to make another. However, she had already explained things were getting busy and it would be a while for our beers. We said no then. She then asked if she wanted us to take them so we said sure but she didn't take them off the bill. We didn't ask for them to be taken off the bill but I feel if she removes them from the table barely touched then she should have taken it off the bill. I'm not the type to ask for something free but then atleast leave them on the table. Enough beers and maybe someone would pick at the cold nachos. We were excited to try this place, but overall it was a total bust. Beer selection was poor, beer was just OK, nothing special. The menu has a good variety... but the food was bland. We had to send the nachos back twice (ended up ordering something totally different). Chicken sandwich had no flavor and was chewy. Most of our tables food was cold, we had to ask for things like straws... silverware... napkins. Server did not follow up once, and we had to ask other staff for assistance. this was our first time eating at seven dogs brew pub. We are from out of town about an hr away and had our dogs with us. Seven dogs brewpub is dog friendly so we decided to give it a go. It was Saturday a little later in the evening and as soon as we got there there seemed to be an argument over who was going to wait on us because we were sitting outside. We were the only ones outside and needless to say it was almost like they forgot about us. We had to go inside to get drink refills and to get our check -and the wait for the food took forever. The atmosphere is absolutely horrible. It was almost pitch dark outside when the sun set. they have no outside lights set up. the only light we had was the light shining through the inside windows from some room that wasn't very appealing to look at. half the tables hadn't been cleaned. doesn't look like much of an effort has gone into keeping this place up. I noticed the inside smelled old and mildew ish. Our waitress apologized saying she had a Busy spurt inside??????? so I guess us outside guests didn't matter. The check was wrong and we had to argue it. food was ok but there's way better at Applebees. Won't be back EVER. I'd say this is one of the worst places we've ever eaten as far as service and atmosphere. read more

We stopped at the this on our road trip to NC. Anything with local craft brew is appealing. The beers were clean and enjoyable. The grilled chicken sandwich was tasty and hit the spot after the long car ride. The onion rings were a tad over done. The Mac and cheese was good too but a little soupy for my liking. Jess, our server, did a great job and was highly attuned to COVID protocols as did the rest of the staff. Tables were physically distant, masks were worn and gloves too when handling food, glassware and our check. I regularly witnessed sanitizing of tables once guests left. I was in the area for a work trip and found this great spot to stop for dinner before heading to my hotel. I was greeted by the staff with wonderful cheer and was seated right away (I'm guessing partially due to COVID19). While walking to my table I was amazed by the awesome things to see in the restaurant. From the lights they hung near the ceiling, to the artwork of the dogs around the restaurant, it is all decorated very well. I was pleasantly surprised by the many beer options offered. I tried both of the IPAs and ended up going with the Dragonfly. Both were delicious but the dragonfly had something I really liked. I ordered the southern burger, which also was great! I have a thing for burgers with an egg on them so it caught my eye right away. The burger was tasteful and plenty enough for me to eat without feeling overstuffed. The chips were also a delight as well. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area. read more

The Food there was so Good I had the Appitizer trio with Chicken Fingers, Fried Mozzarella, and Soft Baked Pretzels with Beer Cheese. and It was some of the Best Food I've ever eaten. Our Waitress, Gwendolyn was one of Nicest people you will ever meet. She was so sweet and awesome to have a talk with. And the place was so interesting to know about, the Brewpub used to be an old Stocking Factory which was Interesting. We stopped here on the way from Johnson city. It was awesome. My wife had a cup of potatoe soup and a salad. I always have the Rueben if one is offered.
