It's food truck eats so, don't expect a gourmet meal, but the service is great and the fries are great! Try the bar clams.

When we arrived, the line was already 20 people deep. We joined in, and to our surprise, it moved pretty quickly. We ordered four lobster rolls and grabbed a seat outside in the blustery wind. In the back of my mind I was thinking, this better be worth it. Then our buzzer went off. When I picked up our lunch and saw the sheer amount of lobster they give you, my first thought was: hell yes, this is worth it. Even sitting outside in the wind and drizzle couldn't take away from what was about to be one of the best meals I've ever had. I've never seen a sandwich packed with this much lobster before. Most restaurants give you a few chunks mixed with filler, but not at Richard's. These rolls were overflowing with big, juicy pieces and just the right amount of mayo. The bun was buttered and toasted to perfection. Honestly, this was probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. If you're anywhere near PEI, do yourself a favor and go to Richard's--you won't regret it.

I got the lobster roll and it was delicious. Great amount of lobster spilling over a roll and a side of chips also. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of outdoor seating, or even go to the nearby beach by the bridge to enjoy your meal! Although FYI, if you buy any beer, you have to stay on the patio attached to the store.

Then multiple outdoor stations with chefs on live wood-fired setups, each one making a different small plate. You graze your way through it. Moved inside for the main dinner at communal tables. The lobster course alone justified the drive to the eastern end of PEI. The chowder in a cast iron pan was pure Maritime soul. Dessert looked like fine art. Four people, $2,700 all in. Steep and worth it. Service was warm and unpretentious throughout.

Then a very informative talk from Farmer Kevin and Chef Michael along with Harlee, the wonder dog. I could pet her all night long. Then onward to the toast and dinner with the wine flight. Very creative and delicious courses one after another. I love how the staff is so engaging and pleasant to talk to. Special acknowledgment to Scott, Marie-Pier, Adrienne, Angel, Chef Mac and Chef Matt. Thanks for an incredible night of dining.

We received a $25 voucher when we checked in to the lovely hotel. Gorgeous views and a nice outdoor balcony. Very tall ceilings made it very comfortable. Friendly service and good with allergies. It got quite busy with many tables arriving about 10 minutes after we did which meant that service got slower toward the end of our meal, but not unreasonably so. Kid's menu was extensive. My kid was really happy about the fudgesicle dessert option. Nice that she could have a side of raw carrots instead of fries she did not want - although we ended up eating the carrots. We also had: Fresh baguette with butter Fresh pasta special which was lobster tagliatelle in a butter-wine sauce with tons of fresh herbs and lobster distributed throughout. Delicious! Brined chicken was also yummy with a special shoutout for the mashed potatoes. Wild Blueberry cobbler (ordered without the ice cream), made in house and served warm. Unfortunately they put the ice cream on it, but they realized and offered to make another fresh, which I declined because it took 10 minutes to make. It had a nice lemony hint to it. Coffee was good, nicely served with plenty of milk and cream for choice. Overall, quality local ingredients shone through the meal.

All 4 meals were mediocre at best and for the price point you expect more. I had Surf and Turf the steak was bland and Luke warm as were the potatoes and veg. The lobster was hot so I'm guessing there was a timing issue in the kitchen. I would not recommend this restaurant the only problem is that the resort is so isolated you have few choices. Better to go to the coop down the street buy a few steaks and BBQ them yourself you'll save $200 and have a great meal. On another note the service staff were very good, if we weren't already starving with no where else to go we would have sent 3 of 4 meals back.
