Great experience! Cosy, funky, local vibe. Was once a bank, the beer is kept in the vault and the safety deposit boxes are enshrined over the bar! Not surprisingly the menu is heavy on seafood. But beware the portions are huge! The chowder was nicely spiced and full of mussels, haddock, and scallops. I prefer a thickened chowder, this wasn't but still delicious. Wandered in to this place on a random visit to P.E.I. and the people here were very welcoming. I was able to talk sports with Doug the owner. He said he dunked on Shaq in his day. Visiting from Arizona, with my wife and two adult children. Learned not many businesses open this time of year. Happy we found this jewel. Ambiance was cozy surrounded by plants. Ordered the haddock dinner and was amazed with the generous portion, seasoned perfectly and well prepared, excellent potato mash and the salad was delicious with such delicious flavor of the vegetables and fish one had to know this was fresh, local cuisine . The service was great and the price was fair. I asked the server to give the chef our happy comments . Said it was a team of ladies!! Good job ladies! You cook with lots of passion and love! We greeted by a friendly hostess who invited us to choose the seat of our liking. Our server was abrupt at first but warmed up a bit. In the end, I would characterize him as polite but detached. Our lunch totally exceeded all expectations I had. The mini meat tarts were a fantastic start, taking something very humble and old fashioned and making them new. Served with a house made pickle relish, savory mustard and a berry compote gave each but the chance to try something new. My main was a beet salad with an unusually large number of crunchy fresh ingredients and a nicely balanced house made basaltic dressing. We finished with a cinnamon cake which sounded basic but was rich and special, kind of a butter cake vibe. Service was good even on this cruise ship day with lots of outdoor diners. Wow! We stopped in for a drink and had not had lunch. We met the chef. She is darling, outgoing, and takes great pride in her craft. The seafood chowder was unbelievable! She does not add flour so it isn't thick, just incredibly tasty. I tried diligently to get the recipe from her since I live in America and can't go there for her chowder. She wouldn't budge. Oh well. I will have to dream about it. We went again the next day. She and her staff are lovely. It is such a friendly place with the best chowder ever! read more

BEST fresh seafood in PEI! Cork & Cast recently moved to the row and it is absolutely bringing A+ game to the downtown food scene. Service is awesome, always busy, and the menu is excellently designed, including a fantastic mix of seafood and other favourites like burgers, chicken, and some great apps. At the slightly higher price point than I'd say average in the area you totally get what you pay for with perfect portion sizes and incredibly fresh and flavourful food. I couldn't believe how much fish was in 1 taco! Sides choices are also delicious, definitely recommend the flattop potato or one of the salads. My only regret is not taking a photo of my gorgeous dinner! Definitely recommend this spot for locals and tourist alike! read more

Amazing place! Raw oysters were clean and crisp. Very fresh and well shucked(no shell and saved the liquor). Staff were friendly, engaging and welcoming. Salmon board was awesome as well. We will be returning for more, highly recommend the place!!!! read more

Started with the award winning chowder which I can understand why it wins awards. Simply delicious. My wife had the PEI oysters which see said were very good and the freshest she's ever had. A True PEI CAN'T Miss! To say this place is amazing is a HUGE understatement. We came for the Happy Hour but stayed much longer. The oysters were a thing of perfection, with a craft mignonette and cocktail sauce, but the real gem was the seafood chowder. I have been around the world and love my chowder, but this was so much more. The flourless bisque allowed the seafood and butter to shine with an amazing Zing of garlic. The gym plus pink cocktails perfectly offset everything we have. If you come to Prince Edward Island and you skip this place, you are missing out. read more

Lobster roll while it did have lobster on it was very plain in taste and the bread was barely grilled and lacked any buttery flavor.

Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. It's super fresh seafood, local spices prepared with care and pride! We had the chowder (not super creamy, just an amazing flavor explosion), the mussels (once you have them, no enjoying mussels elsewhere), and the lobster roll (which was delicious and would have been the star of the show anywhere else but was outshined by the other two). Try the sea chowder. Possibly the best that I have ever had. Sit outside on the water, order the seafood. You will be back.
