    Seafood board 1/2

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great experience! Cosy, funky, local vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was once a bank, the beer is kept in the vault and the safety deposit boxes are enshrined over the bar![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not surprisingly the menu is heavy on seafood. But beware the portions are huge! The chowder was nicely spiced and full of mussels, haddock, and scallops. I prefer a thickened chowder, this wasn't but still delicious. The fish cakes were huge and very flavourful and the array of seafood on the board was amazing. Good wine list anda great variety of cocktails. Best service ever from our two hunky, shorts-clad waiters showing off their best assets including tattooed birthdates!

Wandered in to this place on a random visit to P.E.I. and the people here were very welcoming. I was able to talk sports with Doug the owner. He said he dunked on Shaq in his day. I think that's what I remember. Amanda recommended the haddock tacos and they were dynamite. Coup de grâce was they had Slap yo Mama spice behind the bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unbelievable place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Seafood Chowder

This place is amazing!! We had the seafood chowder and fish cakes. The chowder was to die for. The fish cakes came with a Cajun sauce that expertly complemented the meal. The flatiron potato's were perfect with a Dogside beer! The service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the outside seating was perfect for the fall weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Amazing food!

One of the best meals we had over a 13 day Canada to New England tour. The staff and owners were adorable! The service was top notch and the food divine! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved everything about this unique restaurant with a good cool vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Doug and Rachel have created an amazing vibe that is immediately evident as you walk through the front door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers were friendly and efficient but the mussels and oysters were absolutely spectacular! Cheers!

Lobster roll while it did have lobster on it was very plain in taste and the bread was barely grilled and lacked any buttery flavor.

There was a staff turn over while we were there, and it was seamless. The workers flowed effortlessly. The old fashioned (General Scott) was delicious. So smooth and comforting. The raspberry mule was also delicious. They have home made ginger ale - I had the watermelon and it was perfect. The appetizers were great. Tuna crudo and Major Tom's steak on toast were absolutely amazing. We decided to order meals, as the apps were so good. Blue salmon, with root veg, superb. Ribs and Mac and cheese, fall off the bone meat and coleslaw that was the best on the island! The piri piri chicken was delicious, except the skin was on the chicken and it had a thick layer of fat beneath the skin that was inedible. We had the ube cheesecake for dessert and it melted in our mouths and was light and lush. Definitely hit this spot up!

Dave's Lobster was a highlight. Mr. Bee ordered the Half & Half Lobster Roll. One half of the sandwich was "The Local", which was 1/4 lb. of tender and sweet chilled lobster tossed in seasoned mayonnaise, with crisp celery and fresh chives. The other half of the lobster roll was filled with 1/4 lb. of warm lobster tossed with lemon garlic butter and fresh chives. Both were scrumptious. The flavor of the lobster was sweet. It was really nice to have a chilled half of sandwich and a warm half of sandwich. They both were different, but we couldn't decide on a favorite. I decided no lobster for lunch so I chose a grilled cheese. It was served on the same bread as the lobster roll, but the middle was filled with ooey gooey cheese and then smashed like a panini, it too was different and really good. But that doesn't mean I didn't sneak a bite or two of the lobster roll. The eatery is down on the water in a cute bungalow building. The interior is roomy and so bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean. They offer a few outdoor patio tables, and it was such a beautiful and warm day we ate outside and it was lovely. The service was excellent and the young woman working the counter was so helpful in explaining the different lobster rolls they offer to help us choose and her recommendation was spot on. This was truly the best lobster roll we had on the trip.

The choice of rolls here and most places are to have them cold or warm, and we found we like the cold ones better. The roll comes with a side and we both picked coleslaw. I got a local beer which was a blueberry ale that was pretty refreshing. The food was not as cheap as some places and the two letters MP (market price), typically mean I will be paying more, in this case the roll and side was over $30. There was a generous amount of lobster on the roll and it was fresh but I felt it needed either more mayonnaise or some acid to bring out the flavors. The roll was toasted though and buttery but still lacking a bit. Overall a good lunch for someone who doesn't get fresh lobster rolls often.

For main entrees we had the lobster dinner and the lobster pot pie. Both were delicious and well prepared. The sides with the lobster we chose were potatoes and seasonal vegetables. As we walked in there was a walk in group ahead of us. They got seated before we did. When it came to the service it took us 25 minutes to get drinks. We overheard they were short staffed but we only saw our waitress 4-5 times. The other waiter who was in our area was busting his butt moving back and forth and we saw him many times but he seemed as he was rushing the people to order. The atmosphere and location were great. Eating lobster over the water and hearing all the sounds of being on the waterfront added to the experience. Maybe we got a bad night for service I would try it again and recommend the food but the service, I hope is better next time.
