We've been a few times with 4 people which is a great size to bring here. The waitresses are very kind and helpful. They make all their sauces in house and everything we've ordered has been great. I prefer it to the other Vietnamese spots in the area. I really enjoyed the spicy dishes. My wife and I were in the mood for some pho, or at least I was and after reading some reviews on Yelp, we got this place up. We got there and were promptly seated and greeted by Salma, our server. Place wasn't crazy packed and the ambiance was nice. We started with the pork belly Spring rolls and they were delicious, fat and fresh and the peanut sauce was so good. I just added some chili sauce to the peanut sauce and it was perfect. My wife ordered the Chicken Rice Bowl and I ordered the All Meat Pho. My wife's plate arrived and it was a good sized portion and she said it was delicious. My pho arrived and it was a large bowl full of meat and the added bean sprouts, jalapeños and cilantro were just the touch needed. The broth was delicious, clean and very nice. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and plan on returning. Great service, great ambiance and decent prices, can't go wrong. read more

I usually get beef pho but they have different options for pho. I opted for "The wicked Pho" because I love oxtail. It was a big bowl of goodness and the portions were generous. I added some hoisin sauce and chili paste and voila!!!! The inside is small but intimate and cozy. I loved the green decor. My waitress (Renee) was friendly and had great customer service. This place is great, clean, calm, enjoyable extra points because they had very nice decor and music going on. It's located by montwood high school, small place, next to a driving school. My husband ordered pho to go from here. The broth smelled good when I opened the container. I heated up the broth and prepared to eat it with my family. The smell deceived me unfortunately. I took a bite of my pho with the broth and boy was I starving, but this ended up being the worse pho I have ever had in my life. Flavor was lacking as well as a strange soapy after taste. I thought it was just me but my husband said his tastes like soap as well. This was wicked alright. Why would they sell food that tastes like soap? The noodles were not good either. Yes. I'll be back. Honestly, I haven't found a place with decent curry at a Thai restaurant, so I came to this Vietnamese Pho place to try their curry, and it rocked! Service was very friendly and food came out fast. The Thai Icea Tea was very good, and didn't have a ton of condensed milk, which I prefer. Still as sweet as Thai tea should be, though. I started with the Porkbelly Spring Rolls; I like that it came with a bunch of cilantro that honestly just sticks to the outside of the rice paper so you can add some that way if you'd like. They were good, for sure, and although there were only two, they were giant! They also included a kind of noodle in there, but I really liked it. And, of course, the reason I went: I got the Red Curry with vegetables (no tofu) and polished off all the veggies and rice in the curry sauce. It was flavorful and not too spicy (but because it's a pho place you could always add your own chili sauce or sriracha from the table). They gave me a ton of rice, so I didn't finish it all, but after seeing the bill for all this, ($32.75), I should've asked for it to go with extra curry! read more

Wow! Who would've known that El Paso has delicious pho? After over eating Mexican food with my family over Christmas, I was looking for something healthy and delicious; that's when I found Wicked Pho. The place itself is really nice and has a welcoming feeling. As soon as we entered the staff greeted us and asked if it was our first time. She explained how the use real and fresh ingredients on all the items, and everything gets made to ordered. She also pointed out that they specialize on pork belly and oxtail. After hearing that, we decided to start with the Pork Belly Spring Rolls. The rolls tasted amazing, but I wish the rolls had less noodles since I felt like they overpowered the taste of the pork belly. As a main dish I ordered the chicken pho. The broth was absolutely delicious and exactly what I was looking for. The chicken actually came shredded which I had never had before on a pho, but didn't mind it. My husband had the Oxtail Pho and he LOVED IT. He finished that entire bowl and made sure no meat was left on the bone. So I've visited this restaurant a couple of times already, and I've got to say that it is pretty good. The pho is delicious but on par with other pho soups in town. Where they do excel is their chicken Banh mi sandwiches. They are so deliciously good, I could eat them all the time. The chicken is marinated and cooked with just the perfect amount of char. Everything about the sandwich is amazing. Also very delicious is the Thai red curry chicken. The slightly spicy sauce, chicken, and cilantro blend extremely well with the jasmine rice, it makes my mouth water thinking about it. The Pad Thai noodles and drunken noodles are good, but doesn't compare to the two meals I previously mentioned. Prices are decent, and the staff is super friendly, but service can be a bit slow. Let start with the banh mi, the perfect combo of jalapeño, pickled carrot and radish complementing the delicious pork belly on a soft baguette only to be let down by the lack of pâté. For me pate is an important part of the sandwich and it's even better when they lather on extra! So I was a bit disappointed when it didn't have any and also the pork banh mi automatically comes with the egg. I wish I just ordered it without the egg because it didn't really do anything. The pad Thai was good, a tad bit too sweet, and the noodles was extra mushy but it's pretty good. The oxtail Pho was ok. The broth does taste like beef but it tasted like it needed a bit more aromatics of some sort. Not amazing but not horrible so right in between a solid 5/10. So, I just ordered take-away from this place (via the suggestion of le wifey). And it's....aiight. J-just...a couple things tho.. The chicken fried rice is quite tasty. I love the fact that even though the lady on the phone said they didn't have enough egg to fulfill my extra egg request, they ran out (I presume to a store) and got more egg! WHO DOES THAT?? It was totally awesome!! They get a gold star. *doot* However, nearly every positive this dish had is counteracted with a glaring setback. For example(s).. Both the egg and the chicken were overcooked. I dunno about you. But I prefer my eggs to be light and fluffy, not singed like sacrifices to the gods. The chicken had the same problem, though it wasn't totally dry; ergo, technically edible. Plus, it was seasoned good enough. Unfortunately, they had to screw it up by making the chicken pieces larger than bite size (which is annoying when using chopsticks). Touch a soy sauce and this dish is basically a 6 out of 10. If I do a "life hack", make a little of my own egg, then add it to the fried rice, it *might* elevate to an 7. The crab Wontons were pretty pathetic. If I weren't a "man of culture", I probably would have thought these were almost awesome. But since I've had crab Wontons which were 10 times better from Cathay Pacific in Massachusetts over 2 years ago, I'm gonna have to give these travesties a 2 out of 10. The egg rolls were pretty rad! Almost as good as the ones from Jack-in-the-box. 8 out of 10. Overall, a quaint little place which I easily see myself ordering from again on some random Saturday when I couldn't be bothered to cook my own salt n' pepper shrimp instead. I finally got to try this pho place. It's located right next to the car wash place I go to so I decided to give it a try while they were cleaning my car. This place has cute modern decoration inside but it's really dark. From outside you cannot see the inside so it makes you hesitate a little bit to step inside. I arrived around 12:30pm but the place only had one group. I ordered their large beef pho (they have a small menu and beef pho was the only normal pho besides their fancy $20 soup with oxtails and stuff). First of all, they brought cilantro for my beef pho but not Thai basils :( It just feel wrong to eat beef pho without basils. The large pho has a lot of noodle but not enough soup. Also the soup had a lack of flavors. Too bad this place is located so close to Viet Restaurant. If it wasn't, I might have gone sometimes because it's close by my office but since there's the best Vietnamese restaurant in Texas close by, I don't see myself going back often. Oh Lord! When I tell you that I was excited when I read their menu I mean I was ecstatic! I went for a quick lunch over the weekend and I ordered the Pho with rare steak and shrimp. That's right, their pho comes with your choice of 2 proteins already in the price. The broth was delicious, I couldn't get enough of it! I just about slurped it up. I did end up asking the server if there was a way to get a half order of noodles so I could enjoy the broth more before I ordered and they did say they could but it was still alot of noodles honestly for me. I think the next time I may have to ask for like 1/3 order of their noodles. Server was amazing and checked on me throughout my meal without it feeling like she was over doing it. She had a great attitude and made the experience even better as my first time going in. Now, for the reason that I was so happy with their menu...They have all my families favorites and looking online at their pics it looks good. I can't wait to come back with my family to try it and see what they think. I will update after I take them with how the rest of their food tastes like. However, I have been looking for various types of other food (Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.) in El Paso to give me the kind of quality I got used to in CA.
