I love this place and want to say the food is the best Korean food in El Paso, but what they did today was honorable of a 1 star. I ordered the Bi Bam Bap ( which comes with a decent portion of beef bulgogi, a fried egg, and some veggies ) today and when I opened the plate when my wife got home there was barley any meat, only about 7 small pieces ( the first linw of your pinky finger) that I had to find. This place is cozy with a relaxed and low key atmosphere with at most fifteen tables. You can see it is a local favorite. This restaurant was phenomenal! The service was great - super attentive and helpful. The place is small but roomy at the same time and had a fun variety show on. But the food? Absolutely amazing! Soy bean paste soup (dwaengjangjeegae) - 7.5/10 The soup isn't too salty which i really appreciated. The portions were BIG and i loved how much tofu and veggies she put into it! Was such a hearty and satisfying meal. Felt like a meal my mom would make for me. 2. Spicy pork bulgogi - 7/10 A little too fatty for my taste but the seasoning was so smokey and the portion size was so generous! Wasn't too sweet or salty either! I like to start off with service, it was pretty good. Ambiance is hole in the wall setting, not in a bad way though. Ok the banchon, sorry if that's a misspelled, was the best in EP out of all the places I've been so far. The regular kimchi was perfect! It's so tasty that I could've just eaten rice and kimchi for a vegetarian meal. Kimchi and the radish's were my favorite. I love cucumber kimchi but this one wasn't that tasty but it was still good. This was my first time trying this soup anywhere so I don't have anything to compare it to. I was just in the mood for soup. It wasn't what I was looking for but after a tough day at work, I was there already and I didn't want to get hangry. The soup was ok, I would order it again but I would add soy sauce from the start. IMO it lacked the sodium broth I was looking for. Towards the bottom of the bowl I added soy sauce and it was perfect! So next time, I would add it from the start. I saw other customers eating the spicy pork so I really want to try that next time and also the Kalbi. I actually went to the wrong place, but was happy to find it by accident. At Korea House in the Northeast, Dolsot Bibimbap is served in a stone bowl of sizzling white rice topped with fresh (carrots, spinach, soybean sprouts, mushrooms, burdock root), meat (in this case bulgogi), topped with a fried egg and sprinkled roasted sesame seeds. It's accompanied by pickled veggies on the side (banchan) and added gochujang sauce. This is a great authentic Korean food experience that's healthy and filling. I initially went to get mul naengmyeon (icy cold noodle soup) but ended up ordering the hottest thing on the menu since it's seasonal only for the summer. This is definitely one of my favorite Korean spots in El Paso. Food is very authentic and it comes with the array of sides and rice, as expected! Portion sizes are pretty good and it's fairly cheap, especially for lunch. I don't think that I would expect anything less from a place called Korea House! I definitely feel like I'm back in Korea!!! I was craving Korean food and the only other Korean place I've tried in El Paso is Gochu. However, this place is delicious! I ordered the dumplings and the spicy chicken. The dumplings were flavorful and super crispy. My meal entree also came with hot tea and appetizers. The spicy chicken was also really good, spice level just right. The portions are HUGE and worth the price you pay. However, I would clarify how much market price is before ordering it. There are precious mentions about people being overcharged. There were 10 dumplings (although, the dipping sauce was a little salty). My spicy chicken order looked like 2-3 chicken thighs, it was that big. Our waitress was very kind and the restaurant is clean. Overall, I would recommend this place We came back and tried pork bulgogi and bbq chicken. Once again, they did not skimp out on the portions. I had seen this place time and again so finally decided to stop in. We arrived at around 1pm and the rush was about leaving. We waited outside for a table to be sanitized, they checked our temperature before entering and the staff was wearing masks and gloves. We Weren't quite sure on what to order, so we asked our server to please recommend something. She quickly made three recommendations since it was our first time there and out of the three she gave us we picked two. We went ahead and ordered the spicy pork and vegetable stirfry along with the short ribs which are @ mkt price ($16.99 today) both served with a side of white rice. I'm not quite sure what all the little dishes they give you before the main meal are called but we got about 10 of them and they were all very good. The food was great. The spicy pork had the right amount of spice never over powering or inedible and I had a great selection of vegetables and you could definitely tell that it was made fresh to order. The short ribs work great as well, very tender and juicy and with an amazing flavor to them. Both dishes were definitely served very generously and could have easily been shared between two people since we ended up bringing home plenty of left overs. Overall, I very much enjoyed this location and their menu options which are reasonably priced. The food is flavorful and comes out hot, our server even indicated that everything is made fresh to order which is great and you can really tell with the food. I was initially going hoping to find lunch specials however given the pandemic it makes perfect sense that lunch specials are not currently a thing on the menu. My favorite dish there is the spicy squid. So delicious. I just go for the sides. The cucumbers with jalapenos are my all-time favorite. It's also so nice to walk in and the atmosphere is nice. They play Korean dramas on Netflix (my favorite) with subtitles. The older lady in there is so nice and she is always on it with anything you need. The younger female is also very nice and sociable makes me feel less weird dining by myself. The food here is so good that we didn't even take pictures, we were so eager to eat it. This is our third time eating here and the food hasn't ever let us down. Location: This is kinda a hole in the wall. Even though we have eaten here 3 times, we have missed the turn 3 times. Definitely use Google Maps and listen when to turn rather than think you know better. Food: This time we got the daeji bulgogi (spicy Korean Pork) $14.99 and the galbi (Korean short ribs) $15.99. Both are absolutely delicious. The daeji bulgolgi is a perfect blend of a slight spicy, sweet, umami flavor which is great when coupled with kimchi. The galbi was sweet and flavorful and some pieces just melt in your mouth. We have also tried the bulgogi (beef Korean bbq) in the past and it is delicious as well. Because it is a Korean restaurant you get the usual side dishes and they pair perfectly with the main courses. Service: They are still open for order pick-up during COVID but the dining room is currently closed. TLDR: This place is a must try in El Paso. Get the galbi or either bulgogi and you won't be disappointed. Not as good as my mom's but pretty dang close. LPT: If you get either bulgogi to go, it is great in a lettuce wrap if you have some at home. read more

The Baekban was really good, lots of flavor, really tender. The bon chon and kimchi were just okay, none of the pickled items seemed to be pickled or spicy enough. The restaurant is small, they are practicing COVID safety precautions. I went around lunch time on Thursday, and there was no wait. The food was fresh and it was delicious I have nothing bad to say about this place. My husband and youngest son don't really like this type of food, mainly because me and my other son always want to eat Asian food. It was my first time dining here, and I came here for lunch. Overall experience was very positive. In spite of being at a peak lunch time (12:15), only three tables were occupied, and I made the fourth. I'd thought it would be a little more crowded. I hoped it wasn't the sign of this place not being that great. Very nice young lady took my drink order right away, and she also pointed out the hot barley tea pot behind me. Lunch order was promptly taken as I sipped the hot tea (actually it's a misnomer since there's no tea in barley tea--its flavor comes from roasted barley only). Since I wanted to do an apples-to-apples comparison with some other Korean restaurants in town, I ordered "standard" bulgogi (marinated thinly sliced beef BBQ) lunch special. It tasted very good with just the right amount of sweetness, but I don't believe it was not BBQ'd but only pan-fried. Their banchan (assorted side dishes consisting mainly with vegetables/kimchi) had fairly good variety (10 items). Since I was dining alone, the amount was just right, and I finished all of them. Actually, I could've had a little more rice because I ran out of it finishing all the vegetables. As I was paying my bill, I mentioned to the young lady, "You probably have the best decor of all the Korean restaurants in town." She quickly responded, "we have the best food, too!" I was hoping she didn't take offense at my comment of their decor and not of their food. IMHO, their food is good, but lacked wow factor for me. Nonetheless, I would come back here to try some other dishes. A few admin notes: no American Express accepted, Gimbap (sushi-like rolled vegetables/rice with seaweed) is off the menu, free hot barley tea, and parking lot is small and busy since it's shared with at least six business establishments including another restaurant.
