Vegan burger was not of good texture. It was made solely if chickpeas. Very mushy, not flavorful and well over priced

We were looking for dinner after a day at the zoo and this was a popular one that popped up. We were able to walk right in and sat immediately. That's where the positives end. Our server didn't come over for at least 15 minutes. The hostess had already gotten us water, thankfully. When she did come, we ordered 2 beers and the Mac and cheese app. The appetizer took about 20 minutes to come out and we placed our dinner order then. The Mac and cheese was nice and hot and pretty cheesy. We liked it. I got the regular cheeseburger medium well and it came out well done. Barely even flavor. R did the insanity burger, ordered medium, came out well done. Also barely any flavor. The amount of slaw was laughable too. Our server didn't come over until we were pretty much done to ask how things were. The fries were probably the best thing of the night! Not sure we'd make the trek back. read more

I ordered from here on my birthday. My husband got the salmon BLT and it was amazing! Definitely one of the top sandwiches I've had. We had it with sweet potato fries. My husband typically doesn't like that type of fries, but said these were the best he has ever tasted and wanted more. We tried the onion rings. We thought they were okay, but note that I'm not a big onion ring person. We also had the buffalo wings, and it was so flavorful. I love buffalo wings and this did not miss! I wanted more! So came in there wasn't any one at the door to greet but I knew where my party was so I proceeded up stairs. When I got to the table they were in the process of ordering drinks. The ladies ordered a green tea and brought out their ids. The waiter made a comment like well this is a restaurant you know not just a bar we serve hot tea. Which I thought was a little too much for a simple misunderstanding. After that they attempted to order appetizers but it seemed like he was running away from the table before we could even get the order out. Lucky after server overheard or conversation regarding the service and jumped right in to help us get or orders in. I ordered the steak and eggs ... the potatoes and Brussels were delicious I believe they are known for them so make sure you get them. Unequivocally one of the worst meals my aunt and I have eaten out but our server was lovely. I don't know where they sourced their watermelon for their crush, seemingly a garbage can, so a Coke it was! Aunt got the RW menu- started with somehow stringy, sour peach caprese in peak peach season. Then ordered the rockfish which came overcooked, on a bed of flavorless overcooked pearled couscous. The only saving grace was a lemon wedge garnish. She then got the monkey bread which was so undercooked and soggy it could be wrung out, I ordered the gazpacho as an appetizer, unsure of how you make a tomato-based soup taste that awful in tomato season. The shrimp and grits presented not deveined shrimp and gelatinous cubes of tasso ham. I will admit the pickled jalapeños were a nice touch and the sauce was flavored well. I had brunch today solo. My experience altogether was pleasant. My waitress was attentive and friendly. I had the crab dip as my appetizer. The cheese and lump crab meat melted well. I ordered the shrimp and grits but wasn't satisfied with the "broth" the grits sat in and the somewhat tart taste of the dish. The waitress removed the plate and I was able to order another entree. I chose the scramble bowl second, it was fantastic. The egg was fluffy? Great texture. I got it with pepper Jack and the bacon and somewhat spicy potatoes paired well. For my drinks I just ordered the peach Bellini twice. The waitress was helpful with considering my cocktail options. The music was great, for me personally I heard so many songs I have myself and that was comforting. All staff I spoke with were friendly. Definitely will be returning for brunch. The brussel sprouts blew my mind. I love brussel sprouts generally but the sweet and spicy and crunch and chew of these were just awesome. The flavor of the scallops were good but they weren't quite hot enough for me. The texture was fine but it felt like they had sat on the counter a bit too long or perhaps weren't reheated well. The grits were a bit coagulated and not quite cheesy enough for me, reinforcing that perhaps the plate sat for a bit before coming to the table. The drink was perfection! I'm a sucker for egg white topped cocktails and I'd drink this one all night if I could. The service was great and the upstairs was nice and chill for a Friday night. The pricing wasn't bad considering but definitely could add up since the scallops were technically a small dish and I got a half order of the brussel sprouts. read more

We were seated at our requested patio table promptly for our 5pm Sunday meal. Patio is upstairs, spacious, clean and had space heaters for cooler weather which we did not have a need for, as it was a perfect 70 degree afternoon. Our server Sophia was very friendly, filled our drinks and checked in on us often. Burger was a thick patty, juicy, fries were a bit spiced, nicely done. The Brussels were crispy and caramelized, highly recommend. I loved my gnocchi carbonara. The sauce was rich with flavor and a giant portion, I could barely finish half of it. The gnocchi is new on the menu, give it a try! The restaurant is located in an older structure, with steps, different levels, some more quiet tables, others right in the action! Came here for brunch on a Sunday with a group of friends. Hubby and I ordered their scone flight, insanity burger, and harissa omelette with tofu. What's hot - Quality. Delicious! Their scone flight was pretty good. My favorite scone is their cinnamon scone. Sweet, but not overly sweet and a very good amount of cinnamon that was just right. The harissa omelette I ordered with tofu was flavorful. The fries that came with my husband's insanity burger was delicious! Tender and well-seasoned. - Variety. There's meat, vegetarian dishes and vegan. I also asked for their hot sauce, which was a Cajun hot sauce and not just Tabasco, which was great. It had a nice kick, which went well with my harissa tofu scramble. - Portions. Pretty good and a decent amount for you to get full. - Price. Everything is reasonably priced, especially given the portions. Good value for money. - Service. Pretty good. We didn't wait too long for service and our food. Our group asked our waitress a decent amount of question regarding their dishes and she was very good on providing more details. It's nice to see their staff are knowledgeable about their own products. Their staff are also well-adept at maneuvering within the tight spaces of the restaurant, so kudos to them on that! What's not - Parking. There's street parking, but availability is going to be dependent on day and time you go. Be prepared to walk. - Interior layout. Attended for July Restaurant week, was greeted by a passive aggressive male host who refused to sit us at a table for 4 due to "a lot of bookings" however not even 20 mins later did he sit 2 ppl at a 4 top table, which he said he couldn't do for us bc of bookings. Nonsense. The place was practically empty. Meal wasn't too good either. Best thing was the potatoes, no seriously. I ordered a TABS Benedict that arrived with an undercooked poached egg and expired nauseating wilted spinach and a mushy tomato. The deviled eggs lacked relish which it truly needed as it was overly salty. All in all, would not recommend due to treatment by host and quality of food ordered. We have been to Wicked Sisters many times. We came for a birthday celebration - the service and the drinks were both solid - unfortunately, the quality of the food was nowhere close to the expectation that we have come to appreciate from the restaurant. I've been wanting to try this place for years. We finally got a chance on Valentines Day. The food was good. The service was good. The service was fast. However, it was so cold. WOW! Literally.... absolutely W O W ! My first time here, celebrating a birthday and honestly the service was very good and attentive. I felt welcomed and everyone was happy to help. I loved the overall structure of the restaurant. Bar and dine in seating at the bottom, steps to get upstairs and an extra large seating space and bar and that's not the end.... there's an enormously beautiful lounge and seating outside on the back patio. TBH I didn't even feel like I was in Baltimore. The bugs were annoying but the drinks and food made up for it. Maybe invest in some citronella candles or bug repellent candles. Otherwise the food was absolute amazing, I got the rock dish and it was DELISH!!! I tried everyone's food and I was not disappointed. 10/10 recommend I will be back. Came here purely for the name, would come back a thousand times over to bathe in their buttery garlicky mussels while using their cheesy bread as a loofah (I'm just kidding, I don't use loofahs). Very disappointed with how they handled an allergy. The server tried hard but the kitchen seemed completely unwilling to accommodate a very common allergen (egg) and during a slow time before the dinner rush to boot. The item ordered was a child's hamburger, so it was literally only the bun that was in question, and they insisted that every bread in their kitchen included egg--baguette, English muffin, potato roll, white bread, wheat bread, etc. It wasn't until I pointed out that they were advertising a vegan burger that they finally "found" a safe option. A customer shouldn't have to try this hard for something that was so simple. It's not like I asked them to make crab dip from scratch. The sad part is that this was for a child and they were not willing to try seemingly at all to find something fit for him to eat. Eating out with allergies is hard enough but laziness makes it infinitely harder. I would not be leaving this review if I had gotten any response from the management after I sent feedback but feel compelled to share so that others don't make the same mistake. 3 stars because the rest of the food was tasty, ambience was nice and server very friendly. read more

As much as I enjoy the other restaurants in the group: Papi's, Alexander's Tavern, and Hucks, this one has yet to wow and woo me. I've had brunch, happy hour, and restaurant week dinner here. Everything was fine; just fine. But I honestly want amazing at every outing, especially with covid still milling about. I put on a bra, I paid some astronomical gas price, and I saved my coins to pay the staff who showed up, so I want a little razzle dazzle. I will say the drinks and wine are wonderful! Really good bartenders and great wine selection. On my last visit, I had a Pinot Noir (not usually my jam as I'm more of a temperanillo kinda girl) that was to die for, still thinking about it. Heard about the Insanity Burger on one of the Best Burger lists and decided to try. Ordered pickup and noticed there were two levels on a Friday around 5:30. It was quite on the first level which included a Bar area. We couldn't pass up the the Sweet and Spicy Brussel Sprouts. Recommended and they didn't disappoint! Perfect balance of hot & sweet! Beer Battered Onion rings were excellent and Wicked sauce took them over the top. When a Burger has "signature blend of Chuck, Brisket and Short Rib" in the description that's a great start. There's much going on here and it all blends together nicely. Sriracha Bacon & Shishito peppers make for a unique Burger. We even got the medium temperature that we asked for & many places don't get right. Substantial as we could only eat 1/2 of it. Overall, a burger worthy of making it on any "Baltimore Top Burgers" list! Pickup Service was friendly and food was ready when promised. We have eaten here twice in the last month (two adults and one teen.) We ate in the restaurant once and ordered carryout the second time. The menu is diverse and the appetizers and the entrées are pretty great. We really loved the brussel sprouts. Parking is on the street or across the street in some lots. I have worked in the restaurant business for many years, and the rule was to only add in gratuity for tables of 6 or more people. Not for 4 tops.
