Mack Pratt is the sales representative I worked with most and he helped me find something I wanted and could afford in their inventory of vehicles. He was very friendly and honest and easy to work with. The whole team worked with me really. I got to meet the shop's mechanics and the shop manager Nate. All good guys. They worked with me on the pricing a little bit and didn't sell me some garbage. Mack answered all of my questions and was transparent. Bought a car here and they were able to finance my difficult situation, which I appreciate. However, before the first car payment was even made I discovered rear seatbelts not working, check engine light has been on nearly a dozen times (with the same trouble codes each time). They agreed to fix the flashing/broken speedometer backlights as part of the sales deal and now cannot fix them. Service had my car for over 2 weeks and I got it back in the same condition I left it, stating there is no repair available for the engine light issue or dash lights. Great first impression, awful service after the sale. Broken promises and now I am left to deal with the problems myself. Stay away, that's my advice. read more

Back in June, my son bought from him a Subaru 2008 for $8000 and change. He is 19 years old, and this was his first car. He has worked hard to put the money away. Within a matter of two days, the engine's light turned on. After a quick inspection from a local place my son found out that there was a leakage in the havoc. He called DAN who offered to have the car looked at, 2 weeks later. In the meantime, of course my son didn't feel comfortable driving it (Recap: DAN got his commission and probably already spent it, and the kid didn't have a car to drive). The day of the appointment, the mechanic just reset the light without solving the issue (ILLEGAL) and told my son to go get a smog test somewhere and that the car was fine. A day later, the muffler fell off. It was rotten. Dad called DAN. The guy seemed sorry. He said that he was going to try to do the right thing. Unfortunately, after a month and a half of jerking us around, the best that he could do was to book a new appointment on August 5th (2 months without car). We called him several times as he offered to put a temporary clamp on the muffler but never followed up. Last conversation Dan was screaming at us telling us that our son was not the most important person in the world, that he had to wait for his turn and that his 4 sons all bought from the dealership and have great cars (of course). Feedback to DAN: 1. instead of dragging it for months and wasting time pretending to be a nice guy, next time be brave from the beginning. Be your entitled, rude, crooked-self and right at the first complaint, just be like: "Sorry suckers you have got yourself a bad deal. Nothing that you can do about it. Thank you bye-bye." If you are choosing to screw people over at least be a proper villain. 2. Yelling at people out of frustration because they are complaining over your scam is not very professional (I know crazy right??). Also, it might rise your blood pressure. Unnecessary. Widrick Auto Sales is the definition of predatory used auto sales practices. At the door they are incredibly personable but it's all a front. Right until the moment you sign on a car, they will treat you exactly as you would want to be treated at a car dealer, give and take some expected negotiating. The customer experience post-sale is abysmal. The moment there is any service to be done within the warranty period, you see the business end of Widrick Auto Sales very quickly. My car required a new engine when I bought it which was installated by Widrick's prior to me receiving it. The check engine light came on within 2 weeks of the sale. I brought it back to Widrick's to have them tell me nothing was wrong. Within a week of my "service", the check engine light had come on several more times, and I took it to my mechanic to be inspected. The engine they installed was leaking coolant into the cylinder. I reached back out for service, only to be told the wait would be weeks after days of phone tag with the service department. I began negotiating the return of the barely driven car with a broken engine that they had installed and now refused to service promptly. At first they acted happy to accept the return but they offered me a trade-in value of 3k less than I paid for it a month ago with a straight face. They smuggly told me I wouldn't get more for it anywhere else being that it needed a new engine. They are nice to you only as long as they need to be, and the moment they have your money and you have a problem you get their poor shop service, lack of professionalism, and entitled attitude towards the fact that they managed to swindle you. Clearly, they only care about making the sale and not about customer satisfaction or retaining customers long term. You can try your luck here and pray you never have a problem with whatever they decide to sell you, or you can make the right decision and take your money elsewhere. I spent several days speaking to Claude (sales guy) and Cliff (finance guy/owner) about a rather expensive car with a very specific price tag. When we settled on the details of the transaction I went in to purhcase the vehicle and the price increased by 1600.00$. I didn't find out until they slid the paperwork across the desk for me to sign. And they did not try to rectify the situation at all. And I never knew Cliff (the finance guy) was the owner until I called to explain the unfortunate situation. Unreal! Very poor business practice. What a scam! Released a car before there was financial approval & then when the car was returned, kept my plates saying they were registered to them. FALSE the plates are registered to the owner not the dealership, the registration proves that & NO ONE including a dealership can HOLD your plates! It does NOT take 2 weeks to verify the registration with the DMV either! Same goes for the deposit! Absolute shit show at this place! read more

Buyer beware! this dealership crouches like vultures to prey on the young soldiers of fort Drum. The sleazy snake oil peddler of a salesman sold my daughter and her husband a truck for 15K that you could buy at auction for 5K all day long. It had bald tires, a broken drive shaft and points and was held together with peanut butter and baling wire. It literally ran for exactly one week, They also sold them a jacked up warranty that covered zero repairs. Left with no vehicle in the snow they had to dump the truck off at the dealership and leave it there before they would fix it. At the end my daughter and her soldier husband were stuck with a truck that barely runs and that they owe 15k on. If this is not robbery I don't know what is! One star is too good of a rating. I bought a Kia Soul. Had electrical problems of some sort twice. Both times it was brought in. Cliffs crew of henchmen said it was the battery the first time. So they replaced it. Then the second time they said it was the key fob. I mentioned to them twice that the oil level was too high on the dipstick and needed a new oil change. They did the oil change a filled it back to too high a level. i bought my own oil and cliff said he'd send a check for reimbursement. Never got the check. I tried taking the vehicle back within the 10 day window to back out of the contract. He completely lied and said it'll be a voluntary repossession. Low and behold I got a letter from gm financial buying the contract from them obligating me into the sale. That was an utter lie. I personally felt uncomfortable af when they asked for all this information. How would all of this pertain to me potentially getting a car? I would give you my information only after I would have decided that I would get a car at this stealership. They also try to make you get a newer model car than what you're looking for. Hade 2 bad experience with the business. First was during the summer, My wife hit a deer and we had the vehicle towed by their towing service and we agreed to also do the repairs thru their bodyshop. Well it took a month to finally get my vehicle. Even my insurance company said it was a horrible experience dealing with them and do not recommend dealing with the in the future. Second was just today. Stopped in to see some vehicles they had listed on their website, not a great experience. Claude the sales person did not seem to want to show the vehicles. We had to find them in the lot covered in snow. Once we found 1 of them it had over 3k miles over what was listed on the website. The condition of the vehicle was bad, old tires barely 3.32nds, bearly any brakes, very dirty. Did not even want to test drive. I ask for possible other vehicles that match what we were looking for but he did not even respond. We just left down the street to Fuccillos and did our purchase there. read more

I called them back in October 2017 because I was searching for a Subaru Crosstrek. Cliff Sears the finance person located the car for me. It took them almost 2 weeks to get the car in stock. I love the car, it's the customer service after the sale that is the worst I ever encountered. The car need the rear roof spoiler repainted, and some minor issues taking care of. They put me in a loaner car for nearly 2 weeks. It was talked about at the time of purchase about under coating the car, for 2 reasons. 1. It only has 42,000 miles on it, so it is good to protect the under carriage, wheel wells door jams, 2. It was significantly reduce the wind noise. Dan assured me it would be at "their" cost. After they had my car Cliff called me and we discussed the under coating. In the mean time I assisted my house mate in purchasing a Subaru else where, the sales staff was unbelievably knowledgeable. I spoke with them about under coating and I was told that I was probably being ripped off because if I'm paying more than 150.00 it will need to be redone every year. I was told that if I was being charged more it will come with a written warranty. I was being charged $350.00, so I went in yesterday November 24th, 2017 and spoke with Tim the Service Manager and they gave me the fluffery run around. They told me no one warranties an undercoating. I called the people we got the other car from and Kim gave me the number to the man Jim that does the Kron under coating, he explained the process and also informed me that if there is a rot through and his company was the under coater, they would send the car out and have it repaired. Widrick said there is no such thing. He gave me the service ticket that just had in the notes what was done. I demanded a written warranty on the under coating. They refused and said there is NO ONE that would ever warranty and under coating. I then was compelled to ask "If no one warranties an under coating, why would any one pay for one"? They got mad and started to become extremely rude, telling me I was not listening I was only hearing what I wanted to hear. I'm not an idiot, I am 100% Service Connected Disabled American Veteran with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with 25 years of Mental Health experience. I refused to sign for the ticket and in fact wrote on it saying they fluffer up their sales and have absolutely ZERO facts and Zero service after the sale. Dan shouted out "Just put a Service Lein on the vehicle". I left telling them go ahead and try. I am not paying for something that is not warrantied. They cater to the new coming young Army Soldiers that do not have good credit who are stationed at Fort Drum. NOTHING BUT LIES AND HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!! I found my vehicle online and everything looked great, and was treated OK until the deal was done. I was assured and promised the vehicle was in working mechanical condition. Upon delivery of the vehicle I was assured it was under warranty and had nothing to worry about if there were any problems. THAT WAS A LIE!!! The vehicle failed safety inspection the next day after they had already taken my trade back to New York and was forced by the dealer to keep the truck. I called expecting them to honor my warranty and also be concerned that the vehicle was deemed unsafe to drive. After learning the vehicle was unsafe and also the parts werre covered under warrany, they still did not honor any nor care about the safety issues and the warranty they welched on. And when I expressed that they were doing was not only unethical but against the law, the manager MARC got on the phone and threatened me forcing my to keep the vehicle. He was extremely rude and had NO concept of ethics or how to treat a customer or how to honor proper business practices. I am now taking matters in to my own hands to fix the problems the dealer should have fixed, and was forced to take a vehicle I was not even close to happy with. I would not waste your time or money nor would I buy a car from a bully dealership. They lie to you and they promise the world but when the deal is done you better get a lawyer because you are going to need one. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP.
